you sir,are a good mechanic.watched a lot of these videos and yours is the best.thank you.doing mine now,this helped a lot.thanks again!
Buenas tardes. Gracias, saludos.
Great video, the extension does not change the torque when using a torque wrench, it only make a difference if you are using an impact, go look at Torque Test channel's tests!
Hey I'm not sure if you'll answer this question but I didn't see it in the video. Do you know the torque specs for the cam bearings? "Cam bolts"
@nathan_bruh.comedy9725 Yeah, for sure. 89in lbs for the cam cap bolts
@09CamaroFANATIC oh ok so that would be about 7.4 foot pounds right?
@@nathan_bruh.comedy9725 yup, correct.
@09CamaroFANATIC thx man I appreciate it alot.
@nathan_bruh.comedy9725 yeah for sure! Anything to help
Did you use intake manifold an supercharger from Saturn ion or cobalt ss
This is how you explain and make a video, when I do mines for the Malibu I will def tag this one as a reference video 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you very much! I appreciate it and appreciate the support!
"I think 155"..... lmfao
Worthless GM engineering, they could have gear driven the whole engine but no thet went the cheap route.
How is it ni
I have 2.4l vvt where can I buy the timing kit any recommendations?
You can purchase them through ZZP or Jeffrey Nelson Reiland. Jeffrey is an Ecotec supporter and supplier. You can find him on FB. Older gentleman
Great video that camera clarity is excellent
Can this be done to an Auto?
I Have the the dame car and i Will like to get the program how do i do it ? Please help and thanks !!!
Any positive crankcase pressure problems?
Your crank dot on your first chain wasn’t lined up correctly
Yes, thank you. I ended up seeing that problem and corrected it during the video. If you fast forward to 9:20 minute marker, you can see where the timing dot and the colored link on the chain are already aligned! 😊
Best video I have seen for this! Great job ensuring visual access for the viewer to follow along with. Thanks so much!
You're welcome 😊 hope it was of help to you
by the way, you should never use a torque wrench well beyond the set torque like this or it will lose calibration quickly.
You could get better and more-useful breakover by getting rid of side steps with something that can properly function as rock sliders.
I definitely appreciate the advice! I have rock sliders in mind for my current Silverado.
@@09CamaroFANATIC Good stuff, it's always nice to not have to worry about rocker damage and use the rock sliders to assist in overcoming obstacles.
Oh man, step sides at Hidden Falls. I’m afraid to watch 😬
Nice method . Unfortunately I was looking to move one 600 miles. I dont think the floor would hold up that long. At 8800 lbs I do have to admit that was a nice pull.
Thank you 😊
I wont lie thats impressive 40ft shipping containers are heavy AF
Can it be done in a 2004 Chevy Cavalier Ls Sport? 2.2ecotec?
Hey! Yeah it can definitely be done and would be an awesome project
Good video but aren’t those arp studs 80ft lb. The stuff you did was for stock head bolts
Yes you are correct! I did correct it on the engine before starting I just failed to mention it on the video 😕 Correction on description for the video
Do you lose the bumper capability?
You do not, bumper fit on perfectly fine without obstruction
comment calle le point de distribution
How do you know that tensioner is in the groove?
does anyone know if this would bolt up to the 2.2L L61 Ecotec in a 2002 saturn L200? Or if tuning is possible for it
Hey do u know why balance shaft chain rattles I put all new everything and still rattling?
Great job and great video brother you came in clutch for a low income teenager in trouble
Awesome!! Happy to help a fellow man looking to do his own work! Glad it was of use for you
I did mine but had keep taking back apart my new balance shaft sprocket bolt keeps backing out need help ????
Melling or cloyes kit?
Which one is the Exhaust cam shaft and which 1 is the intake... I have 2 shafts 1 written number 21 and one with number 23 on the shaft
How many days did this take you? I’m balancing how much time it will take when I do it later this fall
It took me a little longer due to filming and work. But you can get it all done within a weekend free of distractions
Whats LAP
LAP is the engine name for the 2008+ 2.2L with the VVT head
Are you guys going to be able to fully control the vvt with your tuning solution? If so can we get a video on how you did it?
Are you on stock internals, how much boost and has it been reliable?
Perfect work ,wish u was building me new engine for my 07 Malibu.great video man god bless!
Hey thanks bro! I appreciate it and if near my area, can do that for you and your Malibu
How u get tht k&n intake for the g5? I couldn't find it in their website
It came with their supercharger kit for the 2.2/2.4L
Hola saludos broo...los arboles de levas ...en esa posicion es la correcta?
Hola!, si estan correctas en eso posicion. Exhaust en posicion de 10 en el reloj y el intake en posicion de 2 en el relej
@@09CamaroFANATIC muchas gracias ..saludos y bendiciones broo
Your English sounds American. But I'm confused as to why you don't know what a paper clip is called.
Haha, yes, I'm American. I do know it's a paper clip, but at the time, my mind went blank, and it just couldn't come out of my head. So I added it on the screen. I didn't want to go back and edit it out or reshoot that scene to add originality and laughter.
You inconsiderate gherkin, we all knew what he meant, stay in your lane and let's see you do what he did.
Outstanding! Tuff to work on while in vehicle!
Do you still got the cobalt?
