- Coming back around with another boost application being set up using a ZZP supercharger kit on a 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt 2.2L LAP. This is going to be a real good turning point for this Cobalt and breath new life into it. Lets get this going on the first part of this supercharged Cobalt!!

Great video, the extension does not change the torque when using a torque wrench, it only make a difference if you are using an impact, go look at Torque Test channel's tests!

DUDE!! so glad i found this channel, im doing a very similar upgrade to my 09 'balt LT - i went the turbo route with equipment either on the way or backordered, but so far i did upgrade maintenance (seals, gaskets, plugs, valvetrain spring set, etc...) have added Coilovers, new rims/tires, replaced the entire suspension system (control arms, bushings, tie rods, sway bar end links, axles, wheel bearings and hub knuckles...the ENTIRE system) and a complete cosmetic makeover (video on my channel). Watching your video was SO helpful because i realize i left out a few steps as well in my planning, you saved me alot of time!! Thank you!!

I have an 09 cobalt LT 2.2 Auto as well, and I’m looking at either supercharging or turboing it. I’ll probably have questions for you one day lol
@@fullthrottlegaming1112 Supercharging is the safer route, and the 2.2 is limited in what you can get out of it with a turbo, but if you are looking to push numbers, Turbo is the way to go.

Nice, very helpful. In the process of converting my 08 LT to boost mode. Basics already in place CAI, shorty headers, cat back etc.. she already upsets certain vehicles she has no business upsetting lol can’t wait to get my ZZP set up! Gonna be the TITs!

Very informative. I know not that special but I plan on upgrading my 2002 Saturn Vue 2.2L 5 speed with the ZZP Kit. Pretty much bolt on. Will be a fun first bolt on project for me. My VUE currently has no issues and has bout 187k mi on her atm. It will be a fun daily sleeper.
That will definitely be awesome and special as well. You really don't see a supercharger Vue often and will definitely catch people by surprise
Great job brotha. I'm actually in the process of supercharging my Pontiac g5 gt with the 2.4 ecotec engine. Plus I am also doing suspension upgrade.

Modern extensions don't remove torque unless you use an impact.

zzp has a kit that comes with everything besides the supercharger and the intake manifold for about 750$

Working on this conversion for my 2008 Cobalt LT automatic. Lol on the "kick in the butt" doing injectors out of order (me too). I'll use your idea on the MAP sensor to punch out the inner ring. Nice work. So you're a few months ahead of me, how has it all worked out? You daily drive it?
You will love the difference. It's been working out pretty good and the owner does enjoy driving it!
I think it will be fun too and glad it appears durable. When I researched it he swap I didn’t really hear anything negative about durability.
One other question, can you detail how you wired the pump, did you use a relay or fusible link? And if so or if not, can you be more specific about the wiring especially where you tapped for power.

Thanks Varga, yes that's what I meant but I got it figured out with a relay and fuse tap. When I messaged this, I couldn't get the pump to shut off. Also couldn't get over 8.5 pounds of boost. Took off old tension arm and its housing was cracked (125,000)so I'm thinking that was the problem. Looks like a 3.1 pulley should generate about 13 pounds, however I am swapping on a 2.9 since I'm going through the trouble and have exhaust and cooling mods. I'll probably do a video on my project. @@richprovence9424 you can go with James Rakes Hagerman for your time as well if you want. I am currently tuned by him and so is this supercharged LAP. Or you can go with a tuner of your choice as well.
I have a 2004 Chevy Cavalier, I want to do this has the 2.2 ecotec. How would I tune mine if you can ask your tuner it would be amazing?

How u get tht k&n intake for the g5? I couldn't find it in their website
It came with their supercharger kit for the 2.2/2.4L

Pro tip: don't tighten more after your torque wrench clicks, it's not good for the torque wrench

Hey what's up! So you are trying to find the intake manifold for an LSJ Ecotec engine. Which will be from a 2005 to 2007 Cobalt SS Supercharged. That will be the correct intake manifold used if you are looking to go Supercharged!

Did you use the 3 wire map sensor on the manifold or 4? Im trying to wire the lsj throttle body without an adapter as well; does anyone know the correct 8 => 6 wire diagram??

How many days did this take you? I’m balancing how much time it will take when I do it later this fall
It took me a little longer due to filming and work. But you can get it all done within a weekend free of distractions

Yes you can, we used the stock computer and tuned it using HPtuners
I bought a 04 cavalier, it has the 2.2 ecotec would I also be able to do this
Yes it will be the same timing process as the 2.2L, 2.4L, and 2.0L ecotecs are mostly identical layout
How are you gonna get the oil filter out? It’s really hidden now.
there is enough space to remove/change the oil filter through the supercharger. It will be okay.
How do you decode, I have a 2.4 cavalier but seems there was a few different ones.

Man where are you guys relocating the throttle and body
It gets relocate to the end of the supercharger towards the driver side using an LSJ or LS4 throttle body.
