Sinnoh has become unrecognizable. What used to be the gyms, and cities, have long since turned into ruins, and fossils. People are surviving on Arboliva olives, and wheat. Their language is very different from anything on Earth right now. Finally, Seth, (or whatever he’s called by the other humans by now) steps into the first gym, or what’s left of it. Nothing happens. After a few minutes, the badge ascends from the ground, into his hands.

It's dawning on me that, even if Seth actually makes it past Route 102, if he doesn't enter different PokéCenters, he will be taken back to Oldale upon whiting out and risk getting stuck in Littleroot for literal years. 😅 This will be especially tense 17 years from now, when he beats Norman and has to make his way back to Mauville.
