I watched my mom smoke, I kept asking her if I could taste them. She said come back when you're six, I did she gave me one and said I don't want no two puffs you smoke it all the way down. I turned green and got so sick, she said now don't touch another one ever again. I am going on 64 soon and I never did, thank you mom. She finally quit in 1973 but had COPD for the rest of her life.

Remember the American Cigarette companies who LIED to their customers about the deadly nature of their products and the addictive nature of smoking? I have loads of good memories of America years ago. Smoking, Cancer and the number of people it killed is a memory that never leaves me. So suggesting that there is something even slightly nostalgic about more than a half-century of people being victimized has no place whatsoever n the pantheon of treasured American History, The only thing that prevented American tobacco companies from being driven completely out of business and forced to pay even more restitution (as they should have been)was Politics and ill-gotten profits.

Smoked mainly KENT, PALL MALL, LARK, WINSTON/LIGHT, LUCKY STRIKE. Tried the rest of these brands listed occasionally as available. Never like Menthol cigarettes. Quit long time ago!

I think liberalized office protocols incouraged increased cigarette use. At one time smoking was not permitted in a business office. By 1960, an ashtray was on every desk.

I remember a pack of Lucky Strikes in every c ration. This was 10 years after ww2.

Of the brands mentioned, I only remember “Teem” and “Wink”.

Didn't mention Vergina Slims or Mores that my X smoked.

My favorite was Nesbits orange. NEXT was Sqirt grapefruit drink. When they went away I found RC Cola but Nesbits Orange was my all-time favorite.

My parents were chain smokers, and it killed both of them. My brother just died from lung cancer. Fuck tobacco and anyone who profits from it.

Both my parents were heavy smokers who died early of smoking related diseases. Mom smoked Chesterfield and then Pall Malls so nostalgia is NOT what I feel about those brands.

I’m amazed when I see a senior citizen who is smoking.

Okay, okay..... it's Chow Mein and pronounced Chow Main. My Dad grew up in Fall River,MA. There are still a few places in FR,MA that still make this sandwich, usually the Chinese American restaurants in both MA. and RI. Most of the other sandwiches, I don't think I would touch with a ten foot pole..... especially the ones with liver......😢

Forgot Kool my friends dad smoked them. Stepmom Salem oh yeah Newport 🤮 never had a tareyton or belair. True the weird filter only had a few. Never had eve. Like Misty thin . Nope pall mall is dry. My grandparents were pall mall smokers. Menthol are worse than regular. Merritt, cheep Marlboro. 100s are nasty to regular cigarette smokers. Don't taste right.
