Day five, Riding with a friend, Motorcycle camping in Norway 2024 on my BMW F750GS [E5-S7]
#JoonesAdventureMC #motovlog #motorsyclecamping
The summer of 2024 has arrived and so has my holiday. Just before my vacation, me and a couple of friends from Instagram decided to meet in Norway and the place of the meeting was Grimsdalen in beautiful Dovrefjell.
I packed my bike, my trusty BMW750GS and headed to beautiful Grimsdalen in Norway. My trip there was over 550 kilometers and although we decided to meet on Saturday, most of us already arrived already on Friday.
Unfortunately some of us couldn't go there this time but hopefully there will be more meetings in the future.
Day five. On the fifth day Jeremy shoved me around in the area of Hemsedal, we visited "Stølen" the place where they have their sheep in the summer. We also visited a really old Sami living area, and other cultural places in the area.

I get so tired of some people's wisdom and knowledge how old the earth is because they believe science and ignore the Bible. "All of man's wisdom is but foolishness to God. I am happy you are not afraid of sheep. I wonder if Runa ever got to pet a cow as I was trying to get her to do it. She is afraid of cows and sheep and goats. Or she used to be. Another nice video. How many more do you have to send through the winter months? I'm sure it is very cold there now in Norway. Oh, I just googled and it is nice weather for Oslo but the rest of the week it drops almost 8 degrees. But no snow yet. Always nice weather here except when we get a hurricane. We went through Hurricane Milton a few weeks ago. Category 2. My Goldwing 1500 was fine under our carport and with a wingstuff cover. I put it as close to the house as possible so that it cannot blow over in the opposite direction.Take care. Thanks. 🙂

I have one video left from my trip to Norway, after I have material for two more videos, eventually three videos from my home area. I don’t think Runa is afraid of sheep’s and goats, last summer there was a goat that stole her lunch sandwich so she had to chase the goat to get her food back 😅 Oh you have had a terrible storm weather over there, we have been lucky here where I live. But in other countries in Europe there have been a lot of flooding and storms 😳

There’s few times that I appreciate the cabins more than when it’s raining when setting up or the camp or in the morning when it’s time to leave. So nice to just go inside the cabin without getting everything wet from the rain. Riding in the rain doesn’t bothering me that much as camping in the rain 🤔

the cabin is really nice. Did you have to book it in advance?

    • @JoonesAdventuresMC
      @JoonesAdventuresMC 2 місяці тому

I booked that cabin a couple of our before but I rarely book in advance. Even if I ride during the tourist season it use to be easy to find cabins. In real tourist areas it’s harder but since I have my tent it no problem. Travelling without a tent it might be good to book at least one day ahead and in areas with a lot of tourists it’s probably a lot harder to get a cabin. But there’s a lot of camping places in Norway and most of them have cabins. You are allowed to free camp every where as long as you stay away from house. But it’s of course more comfortable to stay in a cabin or put up the tent on a camping place.

Yes I really like that setup for those “slogbodar”, but the back side is that I have to carry an extra tent a couple of nails and a hammer, so it’s not that practical for moto camping. 🤔 I which I had a way to use the inner tent from my ordinary tent instead. So i’m looking for a new type of tent 😊 That’s newly gravel road used to be tarmac but that weekend it was gravel. I have been there a week after and then it was tarmac again 😅

There’s som fantastic camping spots in that area. Luckily in the beginning of the season they are not occupied. I mess there a week later and then it was more people out there. I rarely have problems to sleep, I can drink a espresso and go to sleep right after 🤔 I can also go to sleep in full daylight. People living further south use to have problem to go to sleep up here in northern areas where it’s almost daylight both day and night in the summer. 🤔

Wow, such amazing beautiful forest there. How often do they have forest fires? It would be really bad if and when it does . Bring in the big bulldozers and helo's with bambi buckets. I miss forest fires. 😢If you have no cell service then how does the maps work on a cell phone? I can never figure that out like Noraly out in the middle of no where in africa and other places and her maps would be working. Only a gps would work anywhere. 🤔🤔 Great relaxing video. Thanks so much for the beautiful country and forest. 🙂

There was a forest fire in 2018. It was a hard fire to control and distinguish so they tested to used military airplanes to drop bombs in the area to control the fire. It worked but is a really problematic way of doing it 🤔. The maps on the cell phone doesn’t work if you don’t load them in before and uses offline mode. My Garmin works great. 😊

I finally got to your video, sorry. Busy doing repairs on my dock on our 8 hectare small lake/pond/retention pond about 10 meters out my back door. Have to add side by side 4x4 pressure treated posts and jet them into the ground under water about 1 meter + using a pressure cleaner. Saving myself about $4,000 usd. It will take me a month I thind to do what I want. 10x12 dock and 10 posts and replace some decking boards too. Nice video as always and very relaxing. I could not and would not watch Runa's last video with the other woman who I will not name on here. I watched 1 of her video's a year ago or so and she was always dancing around her bike and putting on a show. I think she thinks she is sexy. DUH. very annoying. Thanks for another video. Glad to see it is warming up for you guys. It is boiling hot here in south florida and I always ride in BDU shorts and short sleeve pocket t-shirts. I love. take care. 😁😍

Oh I here you really have a lot of work to do in your dock. If having the knowledge how to do it, the results use to be much better when doing it your self than having some one else to do it 🤩 I have seen a couple of videos from the other girl a couple of years ago. I don’t have any specific opinion about her or her videos, good or bad 🤔 I always looks at Runa’s videos. All of the youtubers have their own personalities and what suits one followers doesn’t suit another. Runa is very unique, There’s no one else out there reaching out through the videos in the same way as Runa does, not even Itchy Boots shining in the same way, not for me at least 😊. I’m glad you’re liking my videos, they are a little different than much of motorcycle videos out there. I don’t do the action thing and the high speed manoeuvres. Neither do I record the peeing at the side of the road or glorifying beer drinking. I don’t mind other doing it in their videos. My videos can be seen together with grandchildren and grandma’s without anyone getting chocked 😂

@@JoonesAdventuresMC Yes, your video's are very clean and family oriented like Runa's. Runa takes critique or if you question what she said. Noraly does not. If you question her as I did in season 5 she blocks your comments. I looked at one of her videos a few weeks ago and she had a few thousand thumbs down. That is the only thing you can't stop or hide on youtube.Did something happen to Noraly? I saw a comments in Runa's previous video about something that had happened to her. Noraly does not like to be questioned or to tell her she is incorrect what she said. I am always trying to get Runa to find a farmer with cows or in a pasture to go out with them and pet them as long as there are no babies. Europeans think cows are stampede murders. I have been in fields with them. They are always very curious and cute. Thanks Joone. 😍😍

Noraly fell over and broke a collarbone, She traveled home to Netherland for surgery, sadly enough they punched one of her lounge during the operation. 😳 Yes there are very few people like Runa, she visited me a couple of weeks ago and we was out driving with the car. In the way home we got a flat tire. When we were back home I had to change to another tire. Runa helped me to carry tools and stuff and helped me when changing the tire. Not many people do things like that if you don’t ask them. In New Zealand she helped some people with a flat tire to change the tire. I helped a german couple to change their tire up on a parking place on Trontoppen (the mountain tronfjell). Things like that is very appreciated when people are in trouble 😊

@@JoonesAdventuresMC the doctors punctured one of noraly's lungs???? Wow. That will put her out of video's for at least 6 weeks and then physical therapy to get her arm and everything working properly again. She will be out at least 2 months or more depends on your medical care in the EU. Yes, Runa is not your normal woman rider. or woman period. That is nice of both of you to help people. I have always been that way too and never charged money like most people do. Money means nothing to me to help someone. I always say $1000 more or less will not change my life. 😁

Yes it’s a special feeling to walk around knowing that he has worked there even if it was long time ago. There’s still an old hammer left in a village close to where I live. And also a couple of wheels outside my work. Another really interesting thing is not very far from here is an old water wheel and a “konstgång” that was used to transport the power from the water wheel to the old blast furnace and iron mines. They power water pumps and elevators from that water wheel. There’s also an old saw not far from here, that’s powered by water and still is working.
