Hi, I don't know about TEMU and all the things you say, and maybe you are right, who knows. However, this is an amazing unit for $14. All those similar units from known brands are way way overpriced and you probably know this. They are selling those as musical instruments, whether they are midi keyboards, or pads, or mixers, the thing is.... they are not. Unlike actual synths and pads and drum machines of the 80s/90s, where you could say they were actual musical instruments and quite complicated to manufacture, those modern pads and midis are really.... just plain computer keyboards. All they do is send a key code to software, just like a normal cheap computer keyboard does. Their purpose is shortcuts and emulation, so musicians can create easier on those devices instead of using a mouse and qwerty keys, which are not really made for music. This does not justify their cost though, especially when you know what those devices really are and what they actually do. So yeah maybe TEMU is into some dodgy things as you said, but those businesses selling a $300+ pad to musicians are dodgy _and_ greedy. And in the era of 3d printing, you could make a device like this yourself really. No way they can justify that $300+ pricetag for what they offer. $14 is sure dead cheap, if they mass produce them, maybe the price reflects their costs. If they are abusing workers and such to do this, sure, we're all against this, but this is not something new, Apple, Nike and many others have been doing it, and the world does nothing about it.

Right on. Just a reasonable question - have you ever used anything, anywhere, which used a play button like this (having to hold it down)? You would be hard-pressed to give me an example of that ever occurring on any software or hardware, even as an option, I'd wager. They wanted you to install that app. It was very important to them that you installed that app. So, they made it very important to you to have to install that app. I will just leave it at that. You're a smart cat.

You know.. I am a long-time China Watcher. When I see this sort of video pop up, I 100% watch it and wind up berating the creator for supporting CCP-occupied China in their cultural and literal genocide, blatant I.P. theft, etc. I remind everyone that there is no such thing as a privately owned company in China and that they ALL bow to CCP, and so giving any of them even one pound, you are funding their nefarious activities. I wonder/wish you could make a setting that emulates the 16 velocity levels of the MPC, where each pad is sending out the same note but at different velocities, from softer at the bottom left pad to louder at the top right. I’d buy this if it did.

Copy and paste method is old school, but love it. A little tip you may or may not know, if you press shift and adjust the start point, it zooms in on the waveform.

Couple of warnings though: Sticky rubber doesn’t really go away. My Push 1 is like Fly Paper these days and as such has dust stuck all over it. I’m likely to use lighter fluid or a safer alternative at some point to strip off the rubber entirely as it’s become really horrible. Secondly, encoders are not necessarily user replaceable even though it may look like they are. It depends on the construction of the PCB (which are not as simple as the good ol’ days). I tried replacing the encoders on a Behringer unit I had and the PCB pretty much melted into a mess under the soldering iron (I’ve never had that happen before).

Hey, thanks a lot for the great video! I have a question: Isn't there a way to set it up so that one scene automatically transitions to the next? For example, Scene 1 plays, and as soon as it's finished, Scene 2 starts playing, instead of repeating the current one. Sometimes, I’d like to hear how my current arrangement flows without having to manually jump from scene to scene. I hope I managed to explain this somewhat clearly! :D

Hi I have a question for anyone who can answer - I've been recording samples into the sp through the line in ports and everything has been working fine until today. For some reason when I play it back it's only playing through one side of my headphones and can't figure out why. Does anyone know why this is happening or how to fix it?

this video totally got me back into using my push 2, which has for last couple of years just been sitting there..i basically fell into the trap of focusing on time efficiency in terms of knocking out music the fastest way possible, rather than also enjoying the process. Now when i am back with the push 2 it has actually reinvented my joy for producing music.
