Giant Hunt is a great ash of war, carried me through my first Playthrough. I also recommend Bloodfiend Arms with Cragblade insane poise damage.

I remember I was thinking of this weapon, and now I’m curious what your talismans are gonna be. My assumption for talismans was Two Handed, Greatshield, Spear and Super Turtle.

This weapon is amazing with the deflecting tear, the counters are quite fast and Block so you often hit them. I like to use them with either cragblade or impaling thrust.

Nice run! So many new weapon types in the DLC - the variety available in the game is amazing.

Btw, fighting the furnace golems on horseback is much easier. You just run out of range of their two leg jump stomp explosion.

When they showed the dueling shield in the trailer and then announced it was a new weapon type I was certain I didn’t care. Then I tried them out and it quickly became one of my favorite weapon types. Underrated

Nice,dueling shield is one of my favorite weapons,but now I play more with the backhand blades. And fun fact: the symbol is the same than the symbol on the right of the talisman Tanith gives you by killing the second or third npc for her quest

I remember first time i played the dlc hornsent spawned before i had fought romina and I killed him when he invaded, i used this weapon right after against midra and was mad at myself for destroying this boss so easily, I bearly saw his moveset. It's insane fr, btw nice video i'm back to edging

Just started a run with this setup as well and it’s so much fun. With my setup (Golden vow, Flame grant me strength, Two handed talisman, Axe talisman, Talisman you get from divine beast to enhance storm effects and double turtle talisman), I’m cruising through NG+4 thus far. Also love the moveset from the sword itself.

My biggest issue with the HWGS is that the AOW costs far too much FP for what it actually does. 42 total FP for a slightly better Stormcaller that does Holy damage is kinda ass. If they reduced the initial cast down to 15 or so FP, then decreased the follow-ups to 8 FP, I think it would be far better.

Nice run! Frankly the most interesting part for me is how weapons can be so good and so bad at the same time. This was a late bloomer in my opinion but the AOW was just too slow for most of the DLC bosses. But you switched up your combat style and finished it out nicely.

Yeah there are a lot of Somber weapons. However listen to this The sword Lance you get from Commander Gaius Remembrance is a somber weapon but can be infused. As a bonus his weapon also comes with an Ash of war that can be removed
