Yes and coyotes also eat apples in the fall
It's interesting that so few animals show little interest in the apples. Leads me to wonder where you bought them and what type of apple they are. Supermarket apples are coated in wax. Also there are varieties that even farm animals don't like such as honey crisp. One farmer told me even his pigs won't touch them.
What did the fox have in it's mouth before getting the apples?
I'm not sure, maybe a rat or mouse? What do you think?
