However the EU Commission/EPP/NATO's tariffs on chinese batteries and solar has absolutely strung us up in a rock amd hard place situation. Because of Ursula's EV tariffs China gas immediately halted any exports like tooling, labour and investment to build the tool kit factories in the EU - which for Stellantis and Leapmotors has cut them off from the knees.

After 4 years of grief living with an electric car, given the extreme cold winter weather we have here in Canada where global warming is a farce to everybody other than the ones on-board with the lies, please let me know what the range of this one is in minus 40 (-40 °C or °F, take your pick) weather with the heat on when you have a chance!😂. Nuclear is where it's at, if you really want to be green. When they make those, I might actually want one.

I just got my Macan 4. I confirm… it is an exceptional car. I am extremely happy. Anyway the 21 minutes charging time is from 10 to 80%. After that it gets much slower, but that is normal.

Excellent review Luke. We don't have this brand yet - to my knowledge - here in Australia. I have a BYD Atto 3 which I've had for two years. An amazing vehicle. No wonder they're so popular here. I look forward to looking around a Leap T03 when it arrives. EVs are selling in huge numbers in the Australian market. We have a huge solar array at home with battery back up and therefore, we'd be crazy not to have an EV. Thanks again.

love the car , i bought the coupe vrs , good saving in uk fom new , 55k new and i bought 6 months old with 3k on the clock as managers car for 35k , had for 4 months now and its been faultless , its plenty fast enough i think having owned the superb sportline plus 272 which was skoda fastest car . mine is booked in next month for update fro. 3.2 to 3.7 software . have never used a public charger yet only charge at home to 80 percent . in 4 months its only cost me £60 with octupus energy ... love electric after owning 28 ice cars , did have to buy a new tyre which cost £250 which was more than my first car , thought the tyres were self sealing tyres but there not , the one i put on is a self sealing , there all hankook , MG garantee the battery for the life of the car , how many petrol engine cars have that with the engine ............

I'm trying to figure out why the Standard range reaches 100 km/s after 5.7s, and the Extended range version is specified at 5.3s. Both are very good figures, but I feel uncertain to go for the Standard range with this issue unsolved (otherwise Standard is definitely for me). I don't want an "oooh, but the specs are different, didn't you notice" after I buy my new car. Any explanations for this?

In Italy, where I live, it lists at 18,900 Euros, with a 'Special Promo Price' of 17,900 Euros. Same old stupid, greedy, electric car story. Sorry, I am buying a FIAT Panda 'Hybrid''.......

The trouble with these cars (electric made in China) is quality. Cost of ownership ,typical 50% depreciation after the first year. Cost of insurance even if it is coverable as any accident will result in a write off! You only have to look on Auto trader to see the 2nd hand market for EVs is dire!

Government in UK will find a way to charge you more. Would be ideal for many people . Problem with government is they always moving goalpost to get as much money as possible. Ps never used a rear wiper on any car I’ve owned if you can’t see through rear window go check your eyes.

I left UK 30 + yrs ago, back then the buyer was getting ripped off compared to main land europe, sounds like this is the norm today, sounds like the near future of still being ripped off with 'cheap' chinese cars.

Good review, your English is on point, I have noticed the charming Maltese people seem to be great linguists. What an interesting little car and I believe if similar financial inducements existed elsewhere these cars would be selling like hotcakes.

The three driving modes are all sensible, including the Sport mode. They don't make a significant difference in acceleration or top speed. Even in Eco mode, the car reaches 140 km/h according to the speedometer. However, the level of recuperation varies depending on the mode. Since recuperation can only be adjusted through the driving modes, the Sport mode is not pointless.

Costs 18900€ in Germany and is already available

Much better value than the Dacia SPRING.

The only work-around for the lack of a rear wiper is multiple applications of rain-ex. It's not going to completely solve the problem but it does make a positive difference. Apart from that, what an all-round super little car, I love it. Great review and much love to wonderful Malta! 👍
