Airborne Jump with British Paras (Bad Landing) CH-47 Chinook Jump
A joint Hollywood jump with the 173rd Airborne Brigade and British Paratroopers/Jump-masters.
This was a "Family Day" jump where children and spouses could go watch their family members hop out of a perfectly good helicopter.

Paratrooper's Final Jump
Переглядів 1,1 млн6 років тому
Last C-130 jump before being medically retired. Got one more in before closing my jump log in order to bury my wings. Music credit: Beatowski- Viscus
bro shouldve played the minecraft soundtrack for this one
Beautiful day for a retirement jump, Brother. All the way! Airborne! Do you still jump (recreationally) or are you now solidly boots on ground?
Getting ready to get my sky diving license!
Keep your feet and knees together brother. AATW
Just jumped DZ Juliet. Sky Soldiers.
The rock 🫡
AATW! Congrats brother
Operation Just Cause Vet here.
DZ Juliet!
You’ve got it!
Hua brother
The music sucks and is unnecessary
AND HE AIN'T GONNA JUMP NO MORE
those are del din barracks
Yes
may I ask why did you retire?
Not by choice. Medically retired because of injuries
@@charliepope6750 oh yeah my bad I know that. I meant what kind of injuries
@@FrK. severe TBI, it affected speech, fine motor skills, and I developed insomnia. Along with other fun stuff like major depressive disorder
Great day for your final knees in the breeze; I am not familiar with this DZ or this area Charlie Pope, where did this take place?
Juliet drop zone in Italy!
These guys jump from a pretty low altitude and that takes balls. You’ve less time to recover from any malfunction.
Wow. Sow much has changed from the days of 3/325 ABCT.
Wish I had a great nation like USA to serve in the military.
Where is this?
Italy!
i would love to do this as a career
Seen a video a day or 2 ago of someone trying to land with their legs straight, and the SCREAMS from him breaking his leg terrified me! I thought he had paralyzed himself at first until another paratrooper ran to him and he told him he broke his leg, I was so glad it was just a broken leg and not him getting paralyzed. The video title was "Career ending airborne accident" if anyone is curious on seeing the actual video (IDK why you would be!). Now when I see these videos I have some SERIOUS pucker factor going on with the repeated "Please don't break your legs!" said over and over the whole way down. Glad to see yours DIDN'T end that way. Congratulations on the final jump, sir!! And I wish everyone, civilian and military doing any parachuting, a safe and fun journey back down to the surface!
Outdated warfare. Training for the wrong war.
Okay
man I love shithooks
I was terrified on my last drop, I just KNEW I was going to burn in!!!! lol
Lol perfect! The CO is the one without a rhino mount 😂
Unless NODs are mounted, we never jumped with mounts because of the snag hazard
Wow, those new 'chutes look great. I used to jump with the "Dash"-1-Bravos and the T-Ten Charlies. I remember Sicily and the Holland DZs.
Less control but definitely a softer landing than the T10!
Thank you for your service
Aw no more training jumps, boo hoo.
Damn high speed, all your jumps were combat jumps? Can I have an autograph?
@charliepope6750 hell no. You can't handle my autograph.
@@jeffdur1330 damn, maybe one day I can be as cool as you
@@charliepope6750 zero chance
@@jeffdur1330 dang well thanks anyway, I’ll lower my standards then. Thank you for your service, you’re the leadership every soldier wishes they could have had🫡
The music is Airborne Ghey
It’s army infantry, did you expect anything less?
@@charliepope6750 Well, no lol
@@amishmike1 glad we could clear that up lmao
When I was down at Seymour, a buddy of mine from Bragg invited us down to watch a jump at Salerno. All kidding around aside, damn impressive experience.
Pussy shit free fall all the way
damn those american shutes are so slow the german army still uses the old t10 from the 60s and they are not very pelaseant to jump with😂😂
It’s why our German counterparts always loved jumping with us!
Ahh the good old 170 turd
Better believe it!
Hollywood jumps are always fun .. man I miss it
He ain't gonna jump no more.
Ft Bragg boxer and 82nd Airborne paratrooper at your service 8 years all my jumps was night jumps Haha ha Haha ha Haha ha Haha ha Haha ha
About half mine were. Hate them haha
@@charliepope6750 ha Haha ha Haha ha Haha ha Haha
damn m8 your knees must fucking hate you lol
Great video, really gives people some idea of what para troupers experience.
Is this intentionally Hollywood ?
You don’t jump rucks for Hollywood. I didn’t jump a weapon this round because I was transitioning out of the army and had none issued to me at the time
I never had this briefing. I sat in the back row like school
Hollywood airborne. Come on to Ft Bragg out of Italy and see what you're made of.
Lol last I checked jumping with a full tuck and shit isn’t a Hollywood jump, yall 82nd boys do way more of those
Very cool. When I made my last jump I had no idea that it would be my last because not long after it I was hit by a drunk driver and after 17 months of recovery medically discharged.
Glad you made it! I know the feel. This was my first jump after a really bad one. Never thought I was going to jump again, glad I got one more in the books
these are the type of a-holes that are put in charge of the life or death of other human beings! They are the type of people who easily and readily allow governments to mentally "program them to the point where they will do ANYTHING that they are told, without the slightest thought about whether its right or wrong!
Well from a cav tanker congratulations on a good jump. And i hope you are doing well. Just remember you guys jump in and the cav charges in love ya brother
I didn't know paratroopers bury their jump wings on their final jump. I would think they'd like to keep it for the rest of their lives.
I bought a fresh set to bury
Great vid - hope you're well !!
That looked odd seeing a regular static line cable. When I was in the static line cable was in the floor and you held your static line loop low. When did that change?
CPT during briefing: "Anybody here watch final destination?" Me: Drops everything and gives full attention to the briefing.
Exactly my friend lmao
Congrats/condolences on your last Airborne jump :) Hope you come join the civilian Skydivers!
That’s the plan! Hoping to get my license out in Eloy this summer!
@@charliepope6750 hells yeah brother! But man Eloy in the summer is not great skydiving/flying weather! High density altitude in that heat and those planes don’t have AC as I’m sure you’re aware:). Is that your only option this summer? Or do you just plan on jumping first thing in the AM?
There were occasional opportunities to go to Airborne school but I never really pursued them with maximum effort. Kinda regret that now. Wish I had the experience before getting out. I was already a Skydiver with close to 400 jumps and 70 BASE jumps and I didn’t like the idea of needing to PLF on every jump. The ram air parachutes kinda spoils you in terms of being able to run out your landing on your feet.
Congrats Soldier.
Thanks boss!
Congratulations.
Thank you!
A lot of space between jumpers nowadays. No longer your reserve touching the main of the guy in front of you. Have to be fewer injuries.
Last jump was June 1981. I didn't know it would be my last, thought I would have one more. D/782nd. Great times, Great Friends.
