Once upon a time there was a loving couple who got lost in the mountains in Georgia and found a cabin. They used to go out for hiking, feeling the nature, smelling the fresh air and having the most of fun with each other. Smiling, hugging, kissing, being themselves, creating harmony with the environment. After more than 9 years of marriage their happiness still shines and shines and could be felt by all their admirer, friends, subscribers (8,000 and growing). Buying one more dream, they decided to spend more time in the cabin they found, as their building relationship grows and gets stronger and stronger. The cabin started its transformation by casting a spell on the cheering guys as soon as they saw it a year before. The plan of renovation moved from thoughts to reality. They hold hands in several small projects to transform their dream cabin into a cozy healthy home. Painting, decorating, new furniture, in the middle of a peaceful charming natural place. Spring became Summer, that became Fall, Halloween decoration joined friends, happiness, smiles, and masks. Creativity lived all year long enchanting the couple and bringing up their best coloring the interior, causing joy to all who see it. New Year, new season with Todd and Rob. Great way to recap for the new year. I hope it is a good one. Our Christmas was rough.we were all sick with the worst flu ever and our young neighbor passed away in his backyard. His 16 daughter found him. His wife a care aide in LTC was escorted home by the police from work. We were too sick to be with them as we were afraid we would make everyone sick. By boxing day we felt better but the kids and grandkids came over. We had a great boxing day followed with getting all the kids new flu bugs as well. We were finally well enough to attend our neighbors funeral. It meant alot to his wife and daughter and us. He was like a brother to me. I never asked for help but he would be up on our roof cleaning gutters just days prior to his passing. 61 years old, always healthy and active and gone from a heart attack. We have very close knit of neighbors. We always help each other. Sorry, I digressed. But guys I love all that you do so I will stay on board for sure. My favorite is Christmas. My hubby would say Halloween. I was wondering about bears and deers there. Scorpions and black widow or venomous spiders, I would freak out. Todd, what do you do when you got bit and how bad was it? We get wolf spiders on and off. I keep putting them back in the garden. You future plans sound great. By the way I like the color you used. I don't feel it is too dark. I think it is perfect. See you in the next one.❤

Hey guys, I certainly enjoyed the recap: I remember every episode! ....and the news that a ceramic studio is in the future. This Rob is also a ceramic guy who is contemplating a remodel of my outbuilding this summer. I also share your space sharing with deer: I have a resident herd of 7, with another visiting group of 10! The 7 live on 11 acres surrounded by suburban subdivisions...yes, I spray my 4,000 hosta plants! So, Todd, that slip about turning 80 and being active was appreciated. As a retired architect and son of a Yankee father, I tackle projects left and right.......and I am lucky to have a low-maintenance body. I surprise folks when I mention that I no longer buy pressure-treated lumber as there will be 80 candles on my cake this June!!!!
This all just made our day! Congrats on the upcoming 80th! And yep, Rob has been wanting a ceramic studio for some time now, so we're eager to get that started at some point. You guys have given this mountain home AND this mountain property so much love and beautification! The place has come to life from what it was. Everything you do is gorgeous, practical, stunning, and amazing. I enjoyed this video so much as I remember your first videos. So, I am thinking your kitchen is the next project on your agenda with a parallel project of doing the balcony flooring. That wide plank flooring sounds stunning and so in tune with your decor. The Little Mermaid bathroom.......first, paint those walls baby!! Oh girl!!!!! Also, I am seeing a pedestal sink, like a copper bowl sink with a well pump type faucet to go with the cabin theme. Like a metal bowl sink- copper, slate, smoked glass, or something like that. And a well pump faucet, maybe. Also, a black toilet or dark green toilet? Incorporate some brass in the bathroom to look chic? Like maybe a brass pedestal toilet paper holder with the weighted flap over the top of the roll type thing? Bathroom floor is same as the balcony floor. I will have to get back with you on ideas for the kitchen. I see a super chic, smashing, and cool kitchen! Give Wally kisses and hugs. Blessings. The house is stunning, love everything you’ve done there. The colors, arrangements and details are unique and very inviting. But now that it’s all done and so very cozy, what about rescuing another dog close in age to your current boy and giving him a sibling? We all need someone on our own nose level...

Hi fellas, This was great to have a catch up. The deck is really great and from my perspective, great colour coordination.. What a creative idea to use the wire on the up stairs.. Works incredibly well and has opened up the space.. It would be very interesting to see how you lay the floor in the up stairs as this may well help some viewers.. May well be difficult to film this!! as projects go, it may well be easer to show a before and after rather than a how to!! See what you think!! The small area building outside may make a good canning room for extra food storage if buying in bulk is your thing or excess garden produce!! IF you decide a canning room , I would love to see that from a chefs perspective { They did not cover canning when I trained as a chef as pressure canning is not a norm in Scotland} I now have 2 all AMERICAN PRESSURE CANNERS...Kindness your way..Lochness Scottish Highlands..
Thanks for the tips! We just got some hardwood samples to see how they look in the space and we're inching our way towards choosing one and getting started. Hopefully we can transform the space into something a lot different. We're eager to tackle it. As for the outside building, we hadn't considered canning but you bring up an excellent point. At the moment, we're leaning towards more of a greenhouse, but as is the case with us, we change our minds quickly as we go along. So, we'll see! Thanks for tuning in!

You need to try making a Bloody Mary Recipe that I got back in the early 80's. It is a British Bloody Mary and it is made with Clamato instead of tomato juice. It is incredible. Let me know and I will send you the recipe. I got the recipe from a friend of mine who was a news reporter and covered Princess Diana's Wedding and the lady that she stayed with gave her this recipe and I have not had another regular bloody mary since.
Shouldn’t the wood floors at the balcony match or blend in somehow with downstairs decor. The wire you added has more of a modern look where light oak would seemingly not work well. Get some samples before you commit.

So, I am thinking your kitchen is the next project on your agenda with a parallel project of doing the balcony flooring. That wide plank flooring sounds stunning and so in tune with your decor. The Little Mermaid bathroom.......first, paint those walls baby!! Oh girl!!!!! Also, I am seeing a pedestal sink, like a copper bowl sink with a well pump type faucet to go with the cabin theme. Like a metal bowl sink- copper, slate, smoked glass, or something like that. And a well pump faucet, maybe. Also, a black toilet or dark green toilet? Incorporate some brass in the bathroom to look chic? Like maybe a brass pedestal toilet paper holder with the weighted flap over the top of the roll type thing? Bathroom floor is same as the balcony floor. I will have to get back with you on ideas for the kitchen. I see a super chic, smashing, and cool kitchen! Give Wally kisses and hugs. Blessings. Fall is my favorite season (& not because of Halloween although I enjoyed trick or treating as a kid and Charlie Brown’s Great Pumpkin cartoon special). You guys took it to the next level - no to the top level in decorating for Halloween (Your Christmas decorations were not too shabby either!).

This was great to have a catch up. The deck is really great and from my perspective, great colour coordination.. What a creative idea to use the wire on the up stairs.. Works incredibly well and has opened up the space.. It would be very interesting to see how you lay the floor in the up stairs as this may well help some viewers.. May well be difficult to film this!! as projects go, it may well be easer to show a before and after rather than a how to!! See what you think!!
The small area building outside may make a good canning room for extra food storage if buying in bulk is your thing or excess garden produce!! IF you decide a canning room , I would love to see that from a chefs perspective { They did not cover canning when I trained as a chef as pressure canning is not a norm in Scotland} I now have 2 all AMERICAN PRESSURE CANNERS...Kindness your way..Lochness Scottish Highlands..
Thanks for the tips! We just got some hardwood samples to see how they look in the space and we're inching our way towards choosing one and getting started. Hopefully we can transform the space into something a lot different. We're eager to tackle it. As for the outside building, we hadn't considered canning but you bring up an excellent point. At the moment, we're leaning towards more of a greenhouse, but as is the case with us, we change our minds quickly as we go along. So, we'll see! Thanks for tuning in!

You need to try making a Bloody Mary Recipe that I got back in the early 80's. It is a British Bloody Mary and it is made with Clamato instead of tomato juice. It is incredible. Let me know and I will send you the recipe. I got the recipe from a friend of mine who was a news reporter and covered Princess Diana's Wedding and the lady that she stayed with gave her this recipe and I have not had another regular bloody mary since.
I know you like to try different drink recipes.

Shouldn’t the wood floors at the balcony match or blend in somehow with downstairs decor. The wire you added has more of a modern look where light oak would seemingly not work well. Get some samples before you commit.
Yep, we got samples today actually! We'll be looking at them all in different light throughout the days to come before we decide. 🤞
The only thing l would have changed is the flooring.
And yep, replacing the floors are definitely on our radar for the future. The ceramic tile is definitely looking more outdated as we go along.
