I don’t think it’s bizarre at all how quickly lab rose. The have new tech that no one else has done. I bought a DF2.1 when it came out. Got ragged on everyday, but took 6 strokes off my score. Which is giant.

I have a sentimental attachment to the putter I use otherwise I would most likely have a L.A.B

Topgolf could never lead to any equipment sales unless they find a way to make it so people feel like they can spend time. Why would anyone buy nice golf clubs just to get rushed every step of the way? It can never make hobby status for anyone because of how expensive it is per hour.

I don't think the revealer is gimmicky at all. It's free-spinning AND being swung in a normal putting stroke. The fact that it acts completely different to other putters in that same setup is not something to dismiss. You can't rig that

It really isn’t comparable to begin with a 1930’s player. Winning the 4 championships in 1930 was nothing compared to winning even in tiger’s era to today. Greatness can only be measured by three factors. The size of the pool, the diversity of the pool and the competition in the pool. Golf lack a deep pool of talent due to its early gatekeeping due to racism, sexism and wealth. So it wasn’t until the 1960’s, only a few decades before I was born, that golf was only played by anyone other than a few well-off white guys who could afford the equipment, course fees and travel expenses. You can only be as great as the people you beat, so if you only have a small pool to draw from, you’re not as good as someone beating the best players from a larger pool that includes more international players, players who aren’t rich, and players who weren’t disallowed play due to their skin color or gender.

I was gifted an Odyssey Ai One 7 DB putter that's $300 @ PGA SS. And I tested it back to back with the DF3 and I 100% would have paid the extra $150 for the DF3 if it were my money. Definitely worth the extra money.

Overpriced for dumb hacks who think they can buy a golf game.

The revealer shows that the putter feels/floats like no other club in the bag. If you use the same technique with any putter it still works. Your grip pressure override the force of any twist. That’s why pros look perfectly smooth with putter.

Started golfing in the 70s, stopped, took it back up in the 90s. One of my bosses used to play and he'd order and assemble parts with the heads coming from China (knockoffs) and the shafts/grips from your standard names. Back then and I'd assume the reason the Chinese club heads are so much cheaper is there is little to no R&D involved. A bunch of the guys would put the official clubs out the front door and the slightly modified heads out the back of the shop. It's not uncommon back then and not uncommon now for the Chinese companies to steal intellectual property. Some things the Chinese do lead the world in such as flourescent light bulbs and LED bulbs, but a lot they steal. It would be interesting to see how much of the cost is really based on actual individual products and how much is based on being less than fair business practices.

So couple of things............. 1). Tiger's 2000 season was exceptional, but Byron Nelson won 11 tournaments in a row in 1945. Might be a good research question and video.......what season was better and why? 2). The ProV1 being the revolutionary ball..........I remember a story about Ben Hogan saying the solid ball would be the death of the wound ball (or something to that affect). If there was a revolutionary ball it is the solid ball (of which the ProV1 is a segment of). The story is that Ben Hogan used to balance and mark his balls while soaking in a bathtub with epsom salts which he used to do because of his accident. The salted water used to make the balls float better and if you marked the top of the ball you would know the cg of the ball lies directly underneath the ball. If you get inconsistent marks on a ball it means the ball is balanced well. Consistent marks meaning the ball is not well balanced in that the cg is offset from the center of the ball causing the consistent results.

Wtf you pronounce "ann-ser", as "on-ser"??? The littlest bit of research would lead you to the correct way to pronounce the word, which I'm assuming you know and found since you've done a solid job at research for this video in general, the assumption is you're mis-pronouncing to "be different"...

Where I live, it's actually cheaper to play a round w/cart than an hour at TopGolf. That's why.

I don’t mind the price, people spend 600 or more on a driver that they use at most 14 times a round but complain about a putter costing a little less than that.

People say they hold a putter with 2 hands which is true but It is still harder to keep a regular putter on a straight line than it is something like a lab

Ordered a custom df3 on black Friday and still haven’t had it delivered yet. That’s the only drawback of LAB

Plus shipping and taxes make them 700….. I shouldn’t have to pay shipping on a 600$ product that is only available via internet. It’s not my fault they don’t have more shipping centers

Can't hate on them. Been using a Scotty Cameron 009 for YEARS. If I ever needed a feel change id swap to a Ping mallet. Took interest in this since L.A.B HQ is local to me, invested in one. Im not a gimmick guy with my equipmment. These things are just objectively better than anything I've ever used, albeit only 2 gamers. I dont fiddle with my putters!

I went once, I was a guest of someone at a company Christmas party. I didn't have to pay for anything, it was fun, the food was pretty good. It was kind of cold on that december night in KC, but other than that it was pretty cool for free.

The original top golf in dc sold around 5 years ago and rebranded as a budget option and everybody I know goes there instead of the knew and expensive facility 15 minutes away

Sorry I will use your recovered balls for my kids now days. Compared to a new ball they stuck. They are better that range balls but that's about it. NUMEROUS years model in a 2 dozen pack. How long were they atbthe bottom of the pond. We're they in the grass when the grass fire came through making them easy to find. No thanks

In short he heels all his putts and missed mostly right except for when he compensated. The. He misses left. But he is showing signs lately.

Would way rather go to the range and then a bar after. Costs 1 tenth the price and I get to tee up 10 times more often
