The F10 M5/M6 ESSENTIAL Mod (Dual Front Mount Oil Catch Cans)
LINK TO THE CATCH CAN KIT
www.mekamotorsports.com/products/s63tu1-front-mount-oil-catch-can-kit-f10m5-f1xm6
For high-performance enthusiasts and automotive connoisseurs, the BMW S63TU1 engine is an engineering marvel, renowned for its exhilarating power and impeccable driving dynamics. However, as this mighty V8 roars to life and unleashes its horsepower, a crucial aspect often overlooked is the efficient management of oil vapor.
Enter the oil catch can, a seemingly modest yet indispensable component that plays a significant role in safeguarding the engine's longevity and enhancing its overall performance. The S63TU1, with its twin-turbocharged configuration, generates considerable blow-by gases during operation. These gases contain oil vapors, which, if left unchecked, can lead to carbon buildup, oil contamination, and reduced engine efficiency.
Oil catch cans act as the frontline defense, intercepting these harmful vapors before they can recirculate through the intake system and coat critical engine components. By capturing and separating the oil from the blow-by gases, the catch can prevents harmful deposits from forming, ultimately preserving the engine's internal cleanliness and reducing the risk of potential performance degradation over time.
For those who seek to unleash the full potential of their S63TU1, installing a high-quality oil catch can is not just an option but a necessity. It ensures that the engine continues to deliver its adrenaline-pumping performance, while also promoting engine longevity and reliability, making the oil catch can an essential ally in the pursuit of automotive excellence."

$500 for catch cans? Hard pass.
Loathe the Depots. ZKW, Bosch, OEM all have glass in Europe.
PLEASE make a video of you draining the block of coolant. My drain plug is stuck behind my O2 sensor...
So you flushed out green coolant but you added in blue? I have green coolant in my E36
Thx
in this video he says that this is not the right way to conect this. Wich one of you are correct? ua-cam.com/video/obzBpANWQhg/v-deo.html
That video is for the N63/S63 found on the older x5m x6m... that video IS NOT for the S63TU found on the M5 and M6... S63TU has a different crankcase ccv system than the older model s63 does. Guy in this video did everything correct for this model.
Thanks for the help! Did this process about 3 times on my 95 M3. Before this the coolant wouldn’t stay in the expansion tank without bubbling and overflowing once car started heating up. After doing this, no more issues 👍
Have to keep an eye on engine temp with the engine running. It will overheat fast because you have not bled the air out of the system.
Just Water will Clean nothing out there is extra Coolant System Cleaner in every car part store😂
Depo headlights are OEM minus
Yo bro I live in the area wit a e36 318i so it’s fire to see a techno violet one
Don’t know if you have the solution but I got my depo headlights tapped to my indicators and when I go to use my signals they don’t work so I flip the light switch to off and they blink with the angle eyes and the indicator.
Where can I buy the shock towers ?
Great clear video!
Love itt
That's definitely not the proper way. Totally messed up. Never ever drill holes into the body. You drill holes in the replacement struts and weld it from outside and NOT inside. Don't call it "the proper way". That's the worst way how you did it.
Never seen the headlights being removed and I've owned a e36 for a while...thinking they may be from outer space...
Polska Biało Czerwoni 🇵🇱
what wheels ?
They are stock wheels called “m-contours”
🇵🇱
what if my heater doesn’t work what should i do ?
Thanks for the info my brother. can I know the name of the song you used in the montage?
how much gallons do you need after you refill it with coolant ? any one knows
This process was a flush so we had excess and just stopped when it looked clean enough.
The old lights are 'Eagle Eyes'. Nightmare to remove the H1 Bulbs that burn out every year like clockwork.
Your bulb compartments are on top of the headlight with the new lights. This is huge. Easy to replace the bulbs which die every year.
Hey I know this video is old but I did a coolant change and the car only took 1 gallon and a half of coolant should I flush the system again to be sure I didn’t make a mistake?
Wont hurt to flush again 👍🏻
Depending on the type of steel that structure is made out of,...mag welding may have weakened that repair,...idk,...I would have to see BMW manufacturer repair procedures. But overall,...long as it was sealed up nicely,...you shouldn't have to worry about it rusting again.
It seems the stock ones were welding in the same fashion.
I didn’t see him mixing with distilled water. Watch out 😮
Pretty sure BMW blue is premixed
I mixed it 👍🏻
so interesting!
What is the piece you replaced the og strut tower with?
Any chance you can link your steering wheel?
Thnks for the video. You have an awesome car and even more awesome dad. Good luck!
Great video straight to the point, thanks for the links!
why didnt you just drain the block, theres a drain plug in the side of the block for this reason , and the coolant should be 50/50 coolant/water not neat
Hey! Thanks for the advice! This method specifically avoids using the block drain to encourage doing flushes more often. The coolant split is also completely dependent on the product your using!
Thank you so much. Thank you.
Wish you wouldve removed the block plug
Usually creates a HUGE mess. This is a method that avoids it by flushing.
@@ryancsl that true.. there isn't too many videos on removing the block plug
Your mounting clip was broken off the side marker lights. I just got my Depot angel eye headlights, so thanks for the instructions. I also have clear side lights but mine are clear with smoke tint. I think plain clear look too light. The smoke ones seem to match up better imo. They were only $35 on ebay. Cheers
Hey man! Good video. Those headlights look great and thanks for linking them in the description. Couple of questions for you though, are these LED angle eyes or CCFL? And are the halos nice n bright in the day time? Also what type of bulbs came with them? Just wondering before I drop $400 on them!! Thank you
Pretty sure they are LED, they are EXTREMELY bright. Nighttime you can’t look directly at them or it will hurt. During the day they are the perfect level of visibility. 10/10
@@ryancsl brother what colour is you're bmw specifically
So after flushing out the old coolant, did you add only 1 gallon of new coolant? and did you add distilled water too?
You have to premix according to the Instructions on your coolant, whichever one you add first doesn’t matter as long as the resulting mixture is according to spec.
Nice car
you've got a bright future ahead of you, keep it up dude!
Never had a cooling issue. Orginal system, just came off the hottest summer on record. Then again I know how to treat a car,not beat it then call it junk when it hreaks
wow, legend
Looks like the Climate Control unit needs the .47uF 50V capacitor resoldered (or just change it out for the 60 cents that it costs). 99% of the time, that will fix the problem with it. :-)
True. I've done that and my climate control unit is okay and blower is now working.
Bro, I dont get one thing. After you saw the water is clear in your bowl, you just used a clean 100% concentrate coolant ? How much did you use? How much is the water still inside since you drained it before you used 100% concentrate coolant ? How can we know its 50-50?
Good question
He said in the beginning that the coolant was premixed
You can't say that Depo is Euro HLs. Bosch or ZKW are...
They are Euro “style”. All US headlights came with plastic covers, while EU with glass.
@@ryancsl Whether you drink from a plastic glass or from a glass, it's still a glass to drink from. So yea it's still a headlight but Euro style isn't just bc they have the glass cover or lens, personally. Depo has a shity quality in comparaison of original EU HLs 😅
Hey, I don’t know if you figured out the trick with the release lever on those foglights. Inside each of the brake cooling ducts next to the foglights there is a hole. It is lined up so that a screwdriver will go straight back and press the release lever.

Had brake fluid leak into my hand and now my skin is peeling off like crazy along with it getting wrinkly when i wash my hands for a few seconds
Hi, what’s the yellow spray he’s applying before the seam sealer?
It was a rust preventative primer
I mean hey, the windows work. That's better than 99.9% of e36s.
