Yes, this technique requires leadcore line, and the stripping motion to trigger them the bite.

im too old to strip for them stripers i net my own minnows and just drift one 15' down get bigger fish that way 23/25" are the eaters tho but i like them 15 pound drag pullers dont see many catchin them anymore use to be easy when they had the store on the water there finding the minnows can take a little while sometimes used to get a dozen big azzz minnows for 3 bucks at the store that was a long time ago.many younger ppl dont know they had a store on the water.
