For those that remember, we used to catch some really nice trout in that lake. Then the striper was introduced. It has never been the same. Even the black bass fishing has declined
Bass population has not declined, actually there is alot of bass. If you have livescope you can see what I'm saying, but most of fishermen go there for Striper only. We catch them on accident while fishing for striper. For Trout it will never be planted there again, introducing striper there the first time thinking they can't reproduce, that was wrong. Now Striper dominated the whole lake.

Honestly, took me over 2-3yrs to understand how to fish Hogan Lake. This Lake fishing is tuffer than any other Lakes in CA.
Looked like a tough day without boils
Sometimes can be tuff, when u can't find them or they don't want to bite anything.
