Not a good idea to overfill, it can lead to increased pressure, foaming and potentially caused damage to seals🤷♂️
Seems that he forgot and was distracted by talking😂
I appreciated the video. You gave detailed instructions and reasons why to do or not to do certain methods. However, giving the locations of all motor mount bracket bolts would have really helped. I still have no idea where the top bolt is after hours of looking. I’m wondering if you wouldn’t mind replying with that location? Thanks.
@@heyspeedytweetyi would look at a picture on google of the motor mount so you have an idea pictured in your mind of the bolt locations.....Then with your hands follow the mount and feel for the bolt. I couldnt stick my phone in their to get a great angle but when you remove the oil filter then bolt is right in that area.
Best video on replacing a buick/gmc starter I've found. Thank you!
@@briandavidofficial appreciate it 💯
oil filter was a nightmare to remove on my 1st change. i think the dealer tightened it with a power tool. i used that filter removal tool and the filter bent before finally loosening! also need to double check the filters if someone grabs it for you from the back because people arent too bright when it comes to grabbing the right one. oem costs the same as mobil 1 so i ended up going with the oem filter
When this happened to me, the dealership said the whole steering column would have to be replaced 😂. I ended up buying a used motor for $40 and that fixed it.
@@Cookierobloxtocarocaklovetayla i bet, dealerships be trying to rob ppl lol
thank you sir this is much appreciated
@@matthewwiersma2031 you got it, glad it helped out
Hey guys, I'm about to jump into this project myself. Do you know how to tell if the motors damaged or done for before I do anything?
Yes I liked and subscribed because you did a great job on this video. very nice
@@daniellarson4415 the biggest concern would be have you overheated your engine? Becuase then you can run into the headgaskets failing from overheating. If you didnt overheat it and the engine is the running smooth then im pretty sure your engine is good to go. But if you did overheat your engine you can do a leak down/combustion test.
@@gtflips It wasn't my car. I bought it cheap as a no-run and realized it had coolant in the oil pan. I couldn't start it so I'm wondering if it's gone. I would've felt better if it started. I can do the water pump and the head gasket, just a lot of time and money if there's something I'm overlooking. Just asking for tips to be watching out for.
Very helpful video thanks for sharing, hey I noticed I didn’t see you put the upper left side chain guide in.
😂😂❤

Boo
Thank you for showing the whole thing
I knew this was coming 😂😂😂
Great video! I just ordered the same grille, but I'm curious, what did you use to paint the grille? I'm of the same opinion that it definitely looks better glossy.
@@swd1416 my paint code was 202 so its just basic black. So i used rustoluem arcylic enamel gloss black. I picked it up from walmart.
@@gtflips Fantastic, I'll have to see if I can find that. Thanks!
Now Trump will talk mad shit because he thinks he's bulletproof what a very sad president he feeds off hate
He dropped this 👑
Thanks so much for your video. Where is the best place to buy water pump and timing belt kit or set? Thanks.
Thank you. Your instructions were amazing! spot on!

You right
its just too much every time , just get an older car, they kept junkyards going until recently, poor families used to vacation yearly in a Chevy station wagon from New York to California without breaking down, loaded every seat and the roof
What's the real name for the thing he called rubber jacket?
O'Reilly lends a 5 pound slide hammer for removing hubs and bearings - super quick and easy.
20 minute job my ass
You must not be tht mechanically inclined if you think taking a fews bolts off takes hours.
Wow this was very good video took me 30 mins thanks
I'm hoping there is enough clearance between that clamp and the pan so its not going to touch and raddle... or even worse make a whole in the aluminum pan... But I do appreciate the video.
❤❤❤❤omg thank u so much 1st time Changing my oil on my own u made it easy fast and simple step for us to do I did it on my own 😊
I just received the same grill and followed your video…thank you!
Funny enough VW did the same with their 12v VR6, is weird as they only have the coolant lines on certain motors. My retired 1.8t thankfully never had to go through such issues.
How many miles are on it?
It was around 160k miles. I dont remember exact.
Make sure that your engine is cool? Always have a warm engine when changing oil. That's insane to change while cool. If too hot, pop the hood, run a fan for 20 minutes, then start the oil change. Also, pop the oil filler cap before draining to allow oil to flow faster.
Great job!! 👏🏽 I will show this to my husband!!
Good Ole new England. Man I feel your pain. I'm from RI myself and it's crazy how much salt they dump on these roads. It's probably why we have the worst roads in the country
Always blow off the top of your motor to get rid of debris first.
How do I know when to change it I just purchased Toyota Camry 2021 I just wanna know my oil life on my screen inside the car
It should appear on your mileage screen that maintenance is required. Also you’ll notice slight lag when accelerating & the smell of dirty/burnt oil
the screen next to the speedometer will give you an alert when you're close to 5k miles. then you can reset it using the arrow keys on the steering wheel
If you just purchased it, I assume it was used, change the oil right away. You don't know when the last time it was changed, so it will guarantee you have fresh oil. You also then have a reference mileage for future oil changes. Change the oil and filter every 5k miles after that.
Sounds like ass. Literally. A fart.
🔥🔥🔥
bro u snapped tysm
Works for 2006 Ford 500 too.
Your car looks rusty just like mine does. It makes an easy job much harder.
Rust always makes it more complicated lol
Bro ... I want to say thank you for this video. Never gone this deep under the hood, and your video literally walked me through, step by step. Few things to finish up on my 2015 CX9, and then I'm done changing the water pump, oil pan gasket, and an array of other things along the way. I haven't started it yet, and no matter what happens, I learned a ton.. I have all the tools I'll ever need and saved about 5k doing it myself. Super grateful!!
You got it ! Appreciate the feed back !
It's not Mazda who designed this engine. This is Ford. I agree this design is terrible.
This must be a northern car. Look at the rust, I'm originally from the Midwest and I know that rust.
You got it, northeast
Thank you for the good video
I know this is 2 years old but I was able to get an OE product for $70 on EBay, same exact part I would’ve got from AutoZone for $110+. Luckily these are located on the lower front bumper and doesn’t need any type of subframe dropping or what not.
