@@Vlox_Gaming aff needs UA buff for ST but they wont allow us to have fun, they ll buff something like drain soul, something boring and without mobility 😂

You can clearly see when your tierset procs in the damage meter. Any chance you have the logs to see how often it procs by checking buff uptime?

I actually quite like SB right now feels great to press which has historically not always been true. But I also agree CB should be a higher priority outside execute which is not the case with current tuning

I would almost assuredly guarantee you it’s going to be nerfed before S2 launches but yes it is very very good atm on ptr

Technically Hellcaller is the Destro-Affliction Hybrid Hero spec, so it makes sense on paper. But I agree, SH Affliction being du reliant of Soul Rot windows, while 35%of HC Destro dmg coming from Wither is kinda weird.

Yeah this kinda hits the problem perfectly right now between the two specs. Destro has it all; burst, sustain, execute, prio and aff only has burst, some minor execute, and prio but you REALLY need things to funnel off of. My idea was to make rapture a filler, tune it as such. More power can be put into dots that way. Make seed your aoe spender, which would allow to us to still aoe burst on demand and give us more consistent aoe damage. Make ua your st spender which would allow us to prio burst on demand and target swap. Literally take out darkglare and give us back dark soul or something that’s an actual damage cooldown. It could just be the 20% haste crit from soul rot on a 2 min cd, or like half that on a 1 min cd. At that point soul rot doesn’t have much of a purpose so just dump it. Make vt the same function as shadow crash with no shard cost. That would likely fix a majority of the problems with the spec the only problem is it might not fit really well with our hero trees so probably won’t happen. Outside of a whole rework aff just needs some crumbs of sustained damage. Going into a hard pack in a key with no cds feels like you’re 4 manning at that point, gets even worse when it’s like multiple hard packs back to back. Becomes a lot less of an issue once you get higher into keys but still

@@Vlox_Gaming i mean this is somewhat old aff, which id be perfectly happy playing, but i think they are married to rapture at this point. my personal suggestion revolves around 2 core changes (would love more but if i had only 2 these would be it.) 1. when agony ticks on a target, reduce the cooldown of vile taint by like 0.1sec (so 1 second per tick in 10 target aoe) 2. change malefic rapture into... Malefic Rapture 1 second cast spell On cast, destroy a soul shard to channel demonic energies, allows your periodic damage to trigger 50% (additive) faster (keeping the same total duration) for 5 seconds. This effect may overlap. so my with my idea for rapture, in a burst scenario you would ramp up your dot tick rate and watch them shred things at a wild pace. enjoy like 350% tick rate dots crazy burst moments it would also accelerate agony stacking, reaching higher damage potential faster, helping it compete in a world of burst damage this keeps dot fantasy, and your dots are what actually do damage, you just make them tick faster it also bleeds back into change 1, allows for consistent vile taint reduction

That could be an option too yea faster dot tick rate. They could even add an effect on to that “after casting rapture dots do x more damage per dot on the target for x seconds”. They could add some type of splash effect “the soul of your target(s) hit by rapture bursts causing x splash damage in x radius”which would help with sustain. There’s like so much shit they could test/implement with the current design of aff it’s actually insane. We have talents like sb volley and volatile agony which are supposed to help with that sustain category and tbh by design they’re not awful but you have them doing 1% or less of your overall at the end of a key on ptr it’s like what’s the point of it even existing

@ Yeah I worded that poorly. I meant one that isn’t reliant on the felguard and such a long CD. It’s hard to be useful, for me, on interrupts like that.

I kinda agree with you in that the spec is LARGELY balanced and dependent on how much power is tied to soul rot right now. It’s good and bad for a number of reasons but I think they need to find a way to take some power out of it without completely killing our ability to do burst damage

Enha rn is the best m+ damage dealer, especially with the whole dungeon getting pulled with exactly the number of mobs that suit enha. The power of destro (since shadowlands s4) comes from uncapped AoE and literally ridiculous pulls and/or higher keys (fire mage will have the same "issue") and in that department both those specs will be OP. Btw Im not defending the uploader, it's just a random video I stumbled upon but I just thought of giving my input.

I think I probably coulda played a little better this key. Destro still feels really good in the dungeons where you can pull a lot bigger but you can absolutely feel the tier nerf on some of these smaller pull dungeons. But yea enhance is still pretty juiced

Lock's fine even with a gimped tier set. Shaman's just fucking dumb and not getting nerfed for some reason.

@@VileVamp blizzard will see one video with lock getting PI and lust and pull stupid dmg and nerf it. thats why destro gets nerfed

Boomkin does actually also have cds for that pull since they have two incarn charges

@ haha yeah it would, but then again They havent fixed any of the clunky game play we have had for a while now, even tho it has been Said by us players for a looong time now 😅 so a little clueless are They already. Same to say my hopes for them right now is not extreamly high

Both pretty solid but I don’t think we make the “meta” cut as of right now. The good news is this is a pretty above average season for warlock utility so that helps

Hard to say lots of tuning still to come. Boomy, mage, destro are all pretty solid and comparable. Aug is aug. BM is doing pretty good

Yea I’m not sure how I feel about the tier set as of now sometimes it feels like it just doesn’t proc at all or procs at the worst times

@@Vlox_Gaming yes PPM is very low but we have it 100% with darkglare so it's very good on setup

UA is at the damage i feel it should be without the tier set buff :(. I saw that you also dont get any SS when the tier set UA targets die

Yea it’s really good every 2 min but would be even better if proc was on soul rot every min instead. Also the extra ua’s do give soul shards 100%

@ i agree, fun every 2 or 3min on big cds is outdated in 2025, when ou see modern gameplay like ret paladin or balance druid with cds every 30sec on every pack
