Fished my whole life im almost 30 and my lake is a no fish lake unless your the old timers around here and know what to doo.. ive fished this lake for 20 years. Just recently got back into it and started giving a bunch of new lures a try... Bro these 1$ creme baits freaking Catch out here.. i have Yamamoto,yum dingers all thw works..back in the day i used to be a hater on creme but good god the blue and black sparkle worms are the best thing ive ever had in my box... And then i did research on the brand. And creme is actually the inventr of the soft plastic worm and they made it in ohio in 1940s.. but it makes sense why my lake hits on them. Im only 2 hours from Ohio. so they literally made thewe lures for my area waters. Gotta respect any brand that claims to be the king of Fake worms and has the cheapest price on the market. #Respect #Merica.. ive caught 6 small mouth on one worm and its still fishable 😂

Hello, I need the exact density and elongation of the line please. I need a line very close to 1g/cm3, but not lower than that, and it should have the least stretch as possible, because I want to pull it straight over 3000m / 3300 yards without any sag. I read that this line is the closest from Berkleys repertoire, and I wrote Berkley but they dont respond.

I've fished that lake before, but only in the winter. There's a deep hole in the middle, hence the lack of weeds out that way. I think the lake reaches 25 feet deep, if I remember correctly, but the hole is not that big. Winterkill is common out on that lake in bad winters. That launch, by the way, is a private launch that the landowner charges a fee to launch there.

A 7'2" heavy rod with braid is a better set-up for frogging over pads, a tad overkill for a whopper plopper. Easy to rip the trebles out, no give in the line or pole. Just saying.

Cool little call. I wouldn't hunt in a blind either, the sound will echo and won't sound right with a hand held. if you get a remote call and put it out there you will be much better off . I been calling for Many years ( in my 20's i am now in my 60's ) I still have all my cassettes LOL. Then i went to hand mouth calls. But i been looking at starting back into it and am looking at some decent callers for reasonable $$. The Iotec 300/350/500 look Great for the buck. But there are others around the $100 ( give or take ) range that work well. If your going to give that hand held another go, get out and sit up against a tree or bush with the sun on your back. Which knots were you using? It’s a very slippery line, special knots need to be used.

There is no trailer parking at that launch. that launch is for the Island. The launch is down the path for carry-in boats only. You Need to use the Public Boat launch off of County DR.

Those calm conditions were calling for a topwater toad of some kind. Especially after you saw a fish surface. Not often it stays that calm on the lake.
