It's a bit of a challenge, although I still found it easier than than solo ranged interestingly. This is a Juggernaut character so was using heavy armor, the stealth gadget is OP on most fights though. How close are you getting in the battle? Are you also solo?

@@Deathisi I was starting up front and beating the first two guys to death before getting ripped apart by the turrets. I'm gonna go back and see if there is any other content I can clear to get some more xp and skills and try out the stealth gadget. So basically not very far! Most fights have felt very doable but this one is just like a world in its own. And yeah I'm doing a solo underdog juggernaut bladed run :V Its honestly been easier up until now than I think it was playing the game normally now that I sort of actually understand game mechanics.

​@@Brainbread Yeah, when fighting humans, the bladed option is really powerful one-on-one. I did find I missed the ability "swing" when using 2H blunt weapons at times, though. I was level 8 by this point, so I had some nice feats. If I were to do this build again, though, I'd most likely swap out Gladiator for Second Wind. If I was able to drop Armored Warfare (which is not realistic with heavy armor), then I would also take Butcher or Bloodlust. For most builds the stealth gadget is a game changer, the 3/3/3 one is OP! (is 1/1/3 on this fight) Also, with melee, make sure you're using the smoke grenades.

@@Deathisi Im only level 6 right now, so I am gonna have to see what other XP I can scrounge up and I'll try to max out the stealth trinket! Hopefully I can squeeze out some success and keep my run going :) Thank you for the tips!

Yeah this build took a bit of a risk going Blade with berserker as you have a load of unused accuracy that can't be used for aimed attacks (Blunt suffers less from this), but it worked out fine in the end!

It's been a while since I've played, so I had to load the save. At this point, Fane was using 'Lohar's Two-Handed Source Hammer' and Beast was using a Pink Two-Handed Mace with 3 Str, 1 Warfare, 12% crit chance, and set burning for 1 turn. If I remember correctly, the build is the most important thing in DOS2, so having the correct talents and gear with the correct combat abilities and stats is key. I'll add the basic build to the description, but essentially, you want as close to 100% critical chance as you can plus as much critical damage (multiplier) as you can; this is massively helped by the Two-Handed combat ability (interestingly, this even works for mages' when using Two-Handed staffs).

@@AugustRx I think it may still be possible after snitching on him if you had Mordus's amulet, but it's been ages, so I could be misremembering. In the end, any Two-Hand weapons with Str/Warfare/Two-Handed skills are good for these types of physical builds; also, Crit and Crit damage are your friends! Also, since you're in Arx now, you will soon have access to weapons such as Voor d'lamas & Falone if you don't fancy checking back with traders all the time or re-loading a lot. :)

Not at my computer right now to double check, but I think it's from Ultra Aggro Stim. First round I think I had 28 due to Fast Draw.

So to boost my chances of landing a 'hit', I'm using the Gladiator feat. If you pause at 2:30, you're correct in pointing out that it says 5% (which is highlighted in green), the red is the full miss chance, and the linchpin of the build is the orange highlight, which is the graze chance. To make the build work, I'm using Beserker to reduce Flurry from 10AP to 7AP and Gladiator to increase graze chance at the lower level (to help avoid full misses); Gladiator also increases graze damage by 25%, so with that and Melee Ultra Aggro stim, it increases graze damage to respectable levels. Very few hits actually land or crit in this video when ignoring grazes. Also on top of this, as stated in the description, this still took around 3-4 hours to get this right. By that I mean i was reloading for 3-4 hours straight to get this done, as I kept missing more often in the other tries (2-3 full misses was a failed try). It was pure stubborness alone that got this kill through, and I don't recommend it to anyone unless you're a glutton for punishment, or just enjoy such things!

Hi, I started with Tags in Lockpick, Computers and Blunt. Then put skill points into Blunt, Electronics, Streetwise and Lockpick. Educated Tag was Streetwise & Overclock tag (from int implant) was Electronics.

I was wrong there, at the time I thought that was just how it worked, I'll edit the description later to reflect that. Basically, I saw that I only got armour/evasion SP when attacked so assume it worked the same for melee SP. Now I know when each enemy dies, they have a pool of 40 combat SP that gets split into weapon SP + defensive SP + any crit SP, which is further split to party members.

@@Deathisi Huh, interesting. I wasn't sure how it worked too, but testing on a single turret I noticed I got more armor and evasion SP when I intentionally let it shoot my character before taking it down, so I intentionally dragged out combat sometimes for that.

@@bowshattersg7776 Yeah I noticed something similar and thought it was the same for melee SP. Although if you want to split the melee SP between Blade and Blunt SP (which I do a little of) then do need to hit with the other weapon as well

This specific fight is optional, it's quite hard so not everyone will want to do it; no story aspect is skipped, but you would miss out on the combat and character XP, and of course the loot. The only part that is mandatory is the part just before them at the bottom of the stairs, you need the sample to disable the Red zone terminal (it looks like a yellow blob). If you don't have Computers 7 to access the server, then you can use Computers 4 along with the Hydroponics Employee Keycard,which you loot from the yellow zone on an old corpse if I remember correctly, next to that corpse is another that contains a token that conveniently trains in Computers.

Depending on the fight, it can take a good few reloads until you get the right tactic down. It also can take a fair amount of build optimisation if you want to do some of the optional fights.

Assuming it was rescued and wasn't killed on the Nautiloid, you can then rescue it again in Act 2 in the Mindflayer Colony under Moonrise. At that point you get an item that allows you to 'Summon Us' every short rest, it has slightly higher base HP and some resistances at that point. I usually at that point buff it with the same buffs I use on my other characters to beef it up a bit; such as Longstrider, Freedom of Movement, Mage Armor & Heroes' Feast.

Yeah the music is amazing in this battle, Larian did great, I'm really hoping they do what they did with DOS1 & DOS2 and release the soundtrack as a DLC! The fight itself was one of the tougher ones, but I found the difficulty of battles wasn't too much more difficult on Tactician than it was on Balanced once you know the mechanics of both the enemies and your own characters. I really wanted to do a pure class playthough so I didn't multiclass in this run.

Hi, most of the heavy lifting here is coming from haste, it adds an additional action per turn, and in addition it adds the extra action on top of Action Surge. Also, I was using Elixir of Bloodlust on both my Melee characters, which one per turn when you kill an enemy adds an additional action. On top of this one of my melee characters is using the Martial Exertion Gloves which once per short rest doubles your movement speed and adds an additional action (at the cost of taking 6D6 damage). On top of that have the Great Weapon Master feat, which when you land a Critical Hit or kill a target with a melee weapon attack, you can make another melee weapon attack as a bonus action that turn. @3phemer

Are you used potions of haste and bloodlust before the fight? So you knew what is going to be?

Updated description, am at work so have gone from memory. I'll update again if any mistakes, but I'm confident is correct.

I tend to prefer playing the game Vanilla but Tactician is proving fairly easy admittedly. I've seen the mod but wanted to give them some time to work on it as it seemed to mainly give extra HP/AC and slightly better AI, that mostly will drag out fights rather than make them hard, I was more hoping for a full range of extra abilities or extra mobs. On the bright side though I would get to see past round one more often!

It's possible to kill him soon after you enter the temple as well yes, but this time around I decided to kill him down at the Nightsong.

True, but it's not a bug or glitch so fair game in my book. Although technically Gale can be more OP but it felt like abuse wheh using him as Storm Sorc to blast wet targets so relegated him to haste bot :)

@@Deathisi Never said it was not fair. Creating op builds/strats is half the fun of games like these. In my case I made my sorcerer a haste bot by the middle of the game because the damage spells I'm using felt lacking in firepower. Maybe there was something I'm doing wrong with my build.

It's been a while since I did this, but from memory around lvl 12-14. It's normally best to go pure damage I found, kill them before they get a chance to act.

Never tested it myself as I found summoning to be underwelming in DOS:OS2, but that sounds like a fun way to bypass it :) If I remember correctly though you could also cast evasion on the mob to remove their permanent evasion; keeping a few of the scrolls around helps!

Is my third playthrough currently (not one after the other) so I'm used to the combat and character build mechanics at this point. Mostly just wanted to grab some more achievements and thought it would be a bit of fun to upload a few videos, which then turned into many videos! Technically, by end game a 4 character party all using Glass Canon is more powerful, but I enjoy the Lone Wolf playstyle more, i think. But yes, I'll upload one of the last battle, maybe a couple, mostly because it might be neat to showcase how broken a character can be when using Tea + Teleport Scrolls followed by Pyroclastic Eruption (can one turn the last fight this way).
