Now you have me craving the rice and egg with catchup and some Louisiana hot sauce. Not many others I see that eats it. The Cajun yacht is perfect for the trip and what you use her for.

That cabin is compact but pretty functional. Here in Missouri the cabin would be handy for winter fishing on the Mississippi river and lakes where you could use a mr buddy propane heater or old school catalytic heaters that use coleman fuel to heat the cabin up while fishing.

Cool to hear the depth of your heritage on the water, with trips with your Grandpa and uncle and your Mom working the bridge, etc.! One of my favorite times is settling into a comfortable cabin for bed! Your simple set up lets it transform into other uses! It works fine although some foam on the hull would add warmth but good you made clear about not burning while sleeping! We do use a couple of candles with a port open on chilly nights (even this can be dangerouse if you neglect good ventalation!!!) but we do not use our woodstove or cook top when sleeping! They can be lit in the morning to cut the chill or take out dampness, which is the norm on the water! Look forward to the next series! AllthebestRoy

I am anxious to see Morgan City..my moms kin folks are from there..her mom and her moms relatives 3rd generation relatives remain there .I haven't been there since I was maybe 10 years old. I remember riding down to a popular beach area on a lake that once had an amusement park..ok...I am rambling..enjoying your trip.

Dad bought me and my brother a 1956 alumacraft and give an old 61/2 evinrude said yall get this running then you can go run lines. I was8 Dave was 10 ,.. I'm 63 now and still have the boat. Your boy is lucky to have dad like you.
