So good. I loved The Things We Cannot Say and the Nightingale. The current day portion of The Things We Cannot Say was harder for me, too. But possibly because I could not relate? But that twist… 😮 I have read many Kristin Hannah books and Nightingale is definitely her best.

Love this review. I was worried that TT was going to be to simple for my daughter

I'm way over this age (late 50s LOL!) but I've always liked to read 'below my level' to relax. it used to be highly discouraged so I had to be sneaky about it LOL! but I watch youtube channels to get ideas for self and gifts and recently got Poppy's Place - agirl is nuts about kitties but her mother won't let them get one. the family dynamics, changes, and creativity on the part of the kids was pretty good too. also like zoey and sassafras for the thinking skills and relationship with mother and daughter. there's magic in that one too with the animals.

Cleaning for 2h and watching tv for 6h sounds so awful to me 😂😂😂 I need to be doing something all the time!!

Anyone replace "Penny Candy"? If so with what book?

I was so strong in math when I had Saxon around age 11! I searched for a Saxon review simply to remember why I liked it so well. Thanks so much for this review. Im going to invest in their curriculum for myself and my kids. You're right its worth it. I was browsing math curriculums recently and didnt feel like any were as good as how I remembered Saxon. I remember A Beka being a close second (I used A Beka in 4th or 5th grade).

How do you feel about using AAS along with All About Reading? If you use it. We have used it for a while now but should I be using the spelling books alongside it .

I’ve found your channel below me choose books for homeschooling my kids!!! I love book hauls so I can get ideas!!! I stopped using good reads!!! My book collection is big but we mainly use iBooks and as we are travel schooling from January it’s gonna make travelling lighter!!!

I am guilty of giving devices to my children frequently, but almost 8 hours a day for the teens seems a bit much. or maybe I'm doing a better job than I thought.

Thank you this was very helpful! I've been considering all about spelling. I have a lot of small children so I was a little hesitant about all the pieces but the board idea is great I will just have to keep it hung up high. I know having the actual tangible tiles will help my children learn better. They're very hands on. But like I said I have very small children as well a 1yr old, 2yr old and 3yr old who would love to eat those tiles 😅. We have to be very careful with this. Maybe I have to make sure they are napping or set up somewhere else doing their own activity when I do spelling.
