    If you want to use this on your entire car do you need to fill the entire sprayer? And what would be your dilution ratio? I have bought a 1 liter bottle of the touchless V2 to use with my foam cannon however the whole would only last me like 5 washes if I do 1% pir dilution and use 200 ml touchless and 800 ml water in my 1 liter foam cannon. So I am looking at buying a pump sprayer to use less product.

    • @rev-you1975

      Hello. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. I had to review another old video I’d made where I tested multiple products at various dilution ratios. So. From my experience. One full ik foamer or sprayer will get round the whole car. But. Only half full the ik. You get better presurisation that way. Also. I almost never use the manufactures recommended ratio in my foam cannon. What cannon are you using? I know there are loads to choose from but I upgraded from autoglym to hjjc and the difference is night and day. The cannon just produces better foam for less concentration. Also. When I tried really weak auto foam or touchless, I found it to be almost as effective as a strong concentration. You just get a thinner foam and subsequently less dwell time, which is only really important on really really dirty vehicles. My best advice would be to do some tests with less and less product until you find a happy medium between 1) Not using loads and 2) still cleaning to your satisfaction. Once you get dialled in and doing regular maintenance washes, with a little lsp to finish you’ll find you’ll need less and less foam. If saving money or product is the key factor. Use citrus pre wash. That stuff goes miles. Costs very little. Is comparable to foam. Just isn’t as much fun. Hope that helps.

      @@rev-you1975 Thank you for the reply! I have MJJC Pro V2 foam cannon and it does a great job with making foams. However, I have learned that foaming doesn't actually add more cleaning power. It is just for looks. So, I am not really worried about getting the maximum foam. Like you suggested, I should try different dilution ratios. I will try 100ml touchless and 900 ml water for the next wash and see what happens.

    Hi there, I am one of your subscribers. First things first, please keep up the great work with your videos. I have a question for you: you used to use CG Hydrosuds. Do you still use it? Personally, I usually use CG Mr. Pink and Blasil Carnauba Wax or Koch Chemie GSF with Meguiar's X-Press Wax, and I've been getting good results. However, I'm wondering if I can further enhance my detailing results. I'm considering buying Hydrosuds, and I'd love to hear your thoughts since you've tried various products we discussed a couple of months ago. Thanks a lot!

    • @rev-you1975
      @rev-you1975 4 дні тому

      Hello. Thanks very much for your kind comment. Much appreciated. I haven’t tried hydro suds before. The only chemical guys hydro product I’ve used was the hydro slick ceramic which I was really impressed with. I tend to opt for the 1 month, 2 month, 6 month type pseudo ceramics for 2 reasons. I genuinely enjoy washing the car regularly and trying out new products, also, I don’t have indoor storage for the car and the uk weather is too unpredictable to get a good cool/dry and not too sunny weekend in which to get a decent result installing ceramic outside. With that said. I am planning an upcoming video showing autoglym uhd ceramic when the planets align in terms of dry weather on a Saturday and Sunday. I have used cg suds for ages, but, during a recent 50/50 lsp review/test on the foresters bonnet, it became abundantly clear that the suds were stripping the Gyeon wet coat protection. So, despite really enjoying the experience with cg suds, I’ve just begun using Gyeon Bathe+. As you see in this video. It’s so good. Maybe not extreme enough for a really dirty vehicle but wonderful as a weekly maintenance wash especially if your car is waxed and or coated. I’ve heard it is particularly good for ceramics too. My partners car is getting UHD. The foz will be getting Cg hydro slick again. From that point on. I’ll be testing very gentle shampoos that either complement or boost the coating and we’ll see how long the coatings last. I’ve not tried the other products you mention I’m afraid. Thanks for watching. All the best.

      @rev-you1975 5 днів тому

      Hello. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. I’ll need to review the video to refresh my memory. I have indeed done tests in the past dropping the dilution ratio down to ridiculously weak. My findings were that the cleaning power was very very similar. Only real difference was foam thickness and subsequently cling/dwell time. So if the car is filthy and really needs thick foam, then up the ratio. If the car is only moderately dirty/doing a weekly maintenance wash, you can easily drop to a much weaker mixture. Saves money. Product goes further. Does almost the same job. Just thinner foam.

      Yes. I only learnt that recently when doing panel tests on the bonnet. Onr and wet coat continued to protect to a degree after autofoam which was impressive. But after chemical guys suds. Lsp gone. Which spurred me to change my routine a little. I’ll continue to see how bathe used in conjunction with wet coat performs. I’m hoping it’ll do well. After a few more washes/tests I may put in a coating with a little more longevity and then see how bathe cares for it. Conversely, I had had good results with hydroslick ceramic before so may well test drive that again. Also, after your recommendation, will install autoglym hd but that’ll be on my partners car just for ease of installation and better paint overall, but will pursue a gentle soap regime moving forward and see how the coating lasts.

    Good video mate, never been a fan of waterless washes though , I’d never use it on my car, I’d rather wait until I have time to do a proper wash with water. I can see how some people like it though, especially if you keep a bottle in the boot for removing bird droppings etc, or at car shows, apart from that I’m not into them. And yes, that would definitely be the “upper limit” of almost being too dirty for a waterless.

    I do like Meg’s, I’ve got the “Ultimate detailing spray”, had it since last year, I give the car a once over with it every now and again. Easy on and off, and produces some nice beading for a few weeks. Waterless would never interest me, but I can see how it would be good for some people(or at car shows etc). You made me giggle when you said mum would be out there with the pledge😂 my neighbour has been spotted attempting to wash his car using a broom and a bucket of what looked like plain water! And another time I saw him with a damp shammy leather going over the windows and bodywork, without even washing the car beforehand! His paint work is absolutely awful, unsurprisingly! I would love to go and educate him and do it for him, but I just don’t have the time.

      Sorry for the delayed response. Yes. Mum always said to me “Have you seen my car?, I washed it!!”. Always scared me. I dread to think what she was using on it. Whenever I’d taken my kit over for a full pressure wash she’d be out every 5 minutes asking if I was nearly done and also “how much is this costing me” (water wise). Hence why I explored onr and also water less options. Anything to provide half decent job with far less or no water. Plan was to do onr with once. Then wet coat. Then weekly top ups with waterless just to keep on top of things. Thanks for watching as always.

    • @rev-you1975
      @rev-you1975 21 день тому

      Hello. Not too much drama at all really. They take 30 seconds to wash out. Having a sprayer and a foamer is nice. Then you can get prepped indoors, pumped up ready to go. I think if I was going to have just one, I’d probably have the multi sprayer. They’re great for citrus pre wash or rinse less pre soak. So maybe just edges it in terms of versatility. Having said that if you simply must have foam and don’t have a foam cannon, then of course. The foamer is the way to go. Wheel cleaner, citrus pre wash etc can be delivered with a standard sprayer no drama and shampoo can just be in a bucket. Also. If you really want to save on equipment. Just use ONR. It’s incredible. You can wash inside, outside, glass and wheels with one bucket full. Sorry for the short story. Thanks for watching.

    Hi do you adjust the end bit to what you would usually snowfoam the car with or do you do it so it squirting the water out in a straight line ?

    • @rev-you1975
      @rev-you1975 22 дні тому

      Hello. Let me review and get back to you. Essentially doesn’t really matter about the stream pattern. As long as you collect in the bucket. Whatever works best for you. When I used this method I will add that the ratio % was really high. I have since discovered that a lower ratio is also fine. Thinner foam but still good cleaning power. 100ml of product in 900ml of water should work good as a baseline.

      @@rev-you1975 ah i understand. Yeah i did do the pir just i wasent sure if the pattern of the water mattered while testing it. I had looked on videos and it was never mentioned and the patterns looked straight so i assume it doesnt matter like you say.

    What does 1:5 parts water mean? Is it 500ml water and 100 ml polar blast?

    • @rev-you1975
      @rev-you1975 22 дні тому

      Hello. Yes. 500ml water and 100ml of product is a good starting point. Depending on the output you achieve. Either too thick or too thin. Strengthen or weaken accordingly. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.

    Seems that particular CG shampoo is quite strong, so a milder shampoo would be a good idea. Plenty to choose from. Interesting that is decimated Wetcoat. As for the mitts, mine is a Paragon Microfibre mitt and looks suspiciously like other branded ones that cost double! Will one day buy more of their stuff as its good value. Thanks for the video.

      Hello. That’s a shame. What have you tried putting through it? Bilt hamber auto foam. 10%. 500ml water 50ml product should provide a good foam. If not try the drier pick up tip supplied in the box. There are of course other products that work well but auto foam is a good dependable benchmark.

    A really impressive and interesting video, thanks. And showed that ONR isn't a million miles behind Wetcoat. You'll have to give feedback on how the slickness differs between the two sides next time you clean the car, pretty please. If you used Wetcoat on the shuts, I bet it would last ages and make cleaning even easier. I'm using up TW ceramic spray for mine. Lastly, I soak an mf in the solution, ring it out and get round the interior with one more dunk in the bucket (not felt the need to spray any extra yet). Then do the bodywork, remove the sponge. Do the side skirts with a cheap mf. Then do the wheels last with my cheapest 'why did I buy these' mf. Still experimenting with whether I need a drying aid. Thanks again, really enjoyed this one

      Hello. Thanks for your positive comments, I really appreciate it. I will indeed report back on the slickness. I have some mitts to review this weekend so that’ll tie in nicely to doing a good old fashioned bucket n suds wash on the bonnet to evaluate slickness and mitt performance. Good call re putting wet coat in the shuts I’ll factor that in from now on. I like the sound of your process. Sounds efficient/effective. I’m still tinkering with rinseless process but enjoying the journey nonetheless the less. I haven’t forgotten about the time saving video. Trad vs rinseless. Just waiting for the planets to align re all cars being dirty, at home at the same time and half decent weather. Thanks for watching as always. See you soon.

    Hey man nice ride. I’ve fitted 225/55/R18 onto my Stock height 04 XT. The rims are off a GC8 and has the correct offset etc, I’m getting some slight rub somewhere So do you think my tyres are too big? Should I have gone with 225/45 instead? I’ve got plenty clearance between the calipers and rims, Between inside tyre and Suspension. Not sure what’s going on

    Excellent analysis there. I had a cheap version of the blue one and hated it so binned it. Beginning to think user error may have been a factor. May I request you perform the same test but with ONR or the Meguiars waterless wash? I'm intrigued to see how they perform that way. Cheers
