Very interesting. I tried KKD citrus magic and found its results sort of similar to Surfex (but way more expensive), so its now been relegated (promoted?) to bathroom duties. Shame as i wanted to like it. I still maintain Autofoam in an ik foamer is the most cost effective prewash going, but as you learned its hard work. So I am here checking your content out, and even though I live in a country where you can drive an old rustbucket, which I obviously do, I realise I just miss having a newer car. very personable though, I like your style!

My old Subaru is the primary car featured on the channel but mine wasn’t dirty enough to do a product test. My partners car however doesn’t get so much love so was the idea candidate. @@rev-you1975 oh thats a nice car man! we used to have a Renault Megane rs trophy in Germany, now it a 1996 imported nissan terrano, but we have no mandatory checks for cars here so you really own the car for life, I like that a lot.
Great test, thanks and happy holidays! So citrus pre wash is pretty much the same as auto-foam and it’s cheaper and easier to apply. That’s annoying as I like snow foam! I did the pir calc for my system and need 80% snow foam to get 4% pir but I’ve been using 33% and it works fine which is the same as your results. I’ve been thinking of using a cheaper, weaker snow foam and doing a pre-wash (citrus or apc).
Hello. Thanks for watching and taking the time comment. Prior to this I’d been layering up. Citrus pre wash first. Then foam on top. From memory I think I saw David McBay (one of my fav detailing channels) recommending citrus pre wash for its gentleness, low dilution ratios and performance. It really goes an insanely long way. Anyway. I saw a short he did recently where he just did citrus then pressure wash and the results were great which is probably what made me think of doing this. Regarding bilt hamber. Yes. The pir calculation seems insane. I calculated I needed 380ml of product topped up to a 1000ml with water. Which seems mad. It wasn’t until I was doing some really stingey tests with bilt hamber over the summer using ik foamer and ik sprayer that it became apparent you could easily use 5%. Just don’t expect thick foam. I will say though. That after I filmed this. I snow foamed the car. Lol. It’s fast. Fun. Easy. Satisfying. Weird eh. Have a wonderful holiday season and new year. All the very best.
Hi mate, I don’t know if anyone ever asked you this, have you ever tried Yiannimize products? I’m guessing you know of him, he’s big on UA-cam and the car scene, he’s got a very successful car wrap company down south, anyway I see he’s got a line of products out in Halfords now. I had a look, seems very pricey. I wonder if you’re just paying for his picture on the bottles, or are the products actually decent? I had a look at the car shampoo, doesn’t seem to be any crazy claims on the label, which is a good thing. Have you tried any of his products?

He’s very big on the car scene, he’s done loads of videos with Mat Watson from Carwow aswell, so I would have high hopes of his products being half decent
