      I'm a very lazy learner xD . My recommendation is that you first learn the tools that the software offers because at the end of the day modeling is about solving problems, there is no single way to do something in 3D. Imagine that you want to make a model and you don't know that there is a tool that can help you with two clicks. Master the commands: Bridge curve, bridge edge, Imprint curve, imprint body, Project curve/curve or curve from 2 views, patch etc... It took me a couple of months to fully understand the workflow Thanks for whatching and forgive my English but I only speak Spanish and I have to use Google Translate every time. :D

    Excelente video...Acabo de encontrar tu canal y en cuanto vi el envase me percate que ya habia visto 3 videos similares de personas modelando este mismo producto en C4D, Blender y Houdini no se si esto forma parte de un reto o algo asi 😅 pero enseguida me intereso como seria modelarlo en Plasticity sobre todo quería comparar la rapidez y la facilidad de modelado respecto a los demas programas. En cuanto a la velocidad de modelado me di cuenta que Plasticity fue un poco mas rápido aunque los 3 programas lo hicieron en tiempos muy similares y en cuanto a facilidad pude apreciar que Plasticity es mucho mas comprencible y directo al no tener que trabajar con la topologia y solo trabajar la forma. Pero eso me crea una gran duda. Al terminar de modelar en Plasticity la malla resultante no es la adecuada para muchos casos, y se tendría que limpiar y arreglar la topologia en otro software, sobre todo si el objetivo es animar o utilizar en videojuegos, pero quisiera saber si es estrictamente necesario arreglar la topologia para utilizarlo en visualización de productos y animaciones sencillas que no involucra deformaciones de la malla y donde el producto lo unico que hace es girar o moverse en escena . Quisiera saber si no es necesario hacerle las UV y con solo aplicar materiales PBR el modelo es capaz de verse decentemente en un render. Gracias de antemano.

    • @Polycad-3D
      @Polycad-3D 6 місяців тому

      Saludos Ariel! No es parte de un reto ni nada parecido (a menos que yo sepa) decidí hacer el modelo para ejercitar mi manera de pensar en modo NURBS ya que mi background es 100% SubD. Con respecto a la pregunta de la topología: Este tipo de programas y workflow está enfocado casi en un 100% a la visualización de productos, moldes, impresión 3D, CNC etc, por lo que en una primera fase no hay que preocuparse por las UV ni la topología ya que solo se utilizaría en "HERO SHOTS", donde la premisa es la mayor calidad posible, (cosa que solo se logra con CAD / NURBS) porque la teselación es bastante alta. Yo he usado Plasticity para modelos de videojuegos y debo decir que es una MARAVILLA, ya que en la etapa inicial, lo que mas me importa es hacer que el modelo de "alto poligonaje" sea lo mas fiel posible. Luego viene la etapa tediosa que sería limpiar la maya (CAD) y en su caso mas extremo, hacer retopología por encima, pero nada de que preocuparse. Prefiero mil veces modelar en CAD y limpiar y luego bajar a "Low Poly" porque iniciar con SubD es una locura. OJO amo el SubD pero no es para todo tipo de Workflow, quedan polos, geometría congestionada etc... Pero veo que controlas bien ese tema :) Si tienes más dudas, no dudes en preguntar amigo

    • @Polycad-3D
      @Polycad-3D 6 місяців тому

      @@arielmiranda15 Es correcto, de hecho si tienes la versión STUDIO, existe un add-on al que tienes acceso gratis que se llama Blender-Bridge, el cual te permite trabajar en Plasticity mientras se actualiza en tiempo real en Blender. Hay muchas opciones que da el add-on como el de hacer un (refacet) o cambiar de triángulos a N-GONS. Está un poco verde pero se pueden hacer cosas muy pero muy buenas. Te recomiendo que eches un ojo a ese add-on (Blender-Bridge) Si dominas el PBR es una buen opción modelar en Plasticity y texturizar en Blender.

      Son programas totalmente distintos. Blender nunca podrá alcanzar el nivel de precisión que un programa que funciona con NURBS, como Plasticity 3D por ejemplo. Blender funciona con polígonos. Soy experto en modelado con Subdivisiones y te aseguro que para hacer detalles pequeños tienes que usar toneladas de geometría que solo terminan ensuciando tu malla. Ahora, si lo que quieres es animar y deformar tu modelo, si es mejor Blender, de hecho lo uso pero no sé pueden comparar esos dos programas. Saludos amigo!
