Thank you for sharing your workflow! :) Very interesting for me coming from polygon modeling.
glad to help! I've been away for a while but I'll be uploading more videos soon, including polygonal modeling in Blender... :D Stay tunned!
Great!!
Glad you like it friend :D
How long did it take you to get good with plasticity? Really enjoyed watching you solve the base cut out section, great job!
I'm a very lazy learner xD . My recommendation is that you first learn the tools that the software offers because at the end of the day modeling is about solving problems, there is no single way to do something in 3D. Imagine that you want to make a model and you don't know that there is a tool that can help you with two clicks. Master the commands: Bridge curve, bridge edge, Imprint curve, imprint body, Project curve/curve or curve from 2 views, patch etc... It took me a couple of months to fully understand the workflow Thanks for whatching and forgive my English but I only speak Spanish and I have to use Google Translate every time. :D
@@Polycad-3D wow thank you so much for the reply and help and inspiration! Keep up the amazing work. Glad translate works so good to be able to fully understand the message 👍 I’ll keep at it and hopefully be as good as you one day.
Amazing.
Awesome, Nice Work.
Thanks for watching :D
You´re welcome man, more content soon... stay tunned :D
6:28 how did you make a curve cut, I press C and the program gives an error
I'm not using the cut command... I used the "Imprint curve" command 1) Press F and look for Imprint Curve, select the command. 2) select the curve you want to project 3) select the sheet or solid you want to affect Sorry for the delay... I hope it was useful :D
@@Polycad-3D Thanks bro, I couldn't figure it out for a long time
Plasticity is keyboard orientated soft. So, you show one half process. No indicates tabs and mouse knobs.
Those were my first videos, now I use a software that shows the keys and commands...

Excellent tutorial! You have the best Plasticity tutorials on UA-cam, and I checked most of them. It would be great if you could share the reference image or the links. Thank you!
Sorry for the delay. I really appreciate your words my friend... in the next video I will try to leave the images used Thanks for watching man!
Good 😍👋👋👋👋
Glad you like it man 🙌🏻
nice video but lack of audio makes it bit difficult to understand some steps.
I know it's inconvenient, but I only speak Spanish. I'll try to put some text when I do a tricky procedure. Sorry for my English, but I use Google Translate.
i love lofting. Btw why didn't you just fillet the outer ring instead of creating pipe and then loft?
I really don't know :D there are a thousand ways to do the same thing in 3D but sometimes I prefer to do it the hard way because I almost always get an error when I try to make a very big or complex fillet. It's just the habit xD Sorry for my english!
mega , i learned so much

Why is there no 'Rebuild face - Method' part at 21 minutes and 26 seconds? What version are you using?
Sorry, I don't understand what you mean. It was not necessary to rebuild the face. I just duplicated the face and extruded it. I use the Studio version. If I have not clarified your question, do not hesitate to ask again.
@@Polycad-3D I'm sorry. The question is a mess. I don't have a `Method(explicit control)` part in the `rebuld face` command. I can't perform the command in `Degree` like you did. Is it because the Plasticity version is different? And I also use the studio version (2024.1.7).
@lwforce1 It may be because you are not using a BETA version. You probably have the "stable" version which is very different. Check the (unstable releases) tab in Discord and look for latest (BETA) versions I'm 99% sure that's the problem :) Tip: don't use SHIFT+S for rebuild face... instead, use the hammer icon on the right bottom or use de command list (F) and look for rebuild faces. Sorry for my English but I only speak Spanish and I always use Google translator xD
@@Polycad-3D Thank you for your kind reply😃
@@lwforce1 Anytime :D
at 2:49 what is the command to round the junction of the two planes? I did not understand..
Hello Federico! I only subdivided the curves once and moved the middle control points out with the move command (G) at the same time. It is possible that an error occurred when editing that causes a jump in the video. Hope I have clarified your question, if not, don't hesitate to ask again. Excuse my English but I only speak Spanish and I am using Google translate
@@Polycad-3D ok no problem , I'm Italian.. unfortunately xnurbs is not implemented in my old version of plasticity
@@FedericoSalis If you look closely 05:29, I used the patch command and the XNurbs command in the same place to demonstrate that it is possible to reach the same result with the INDIE and STUDIO versions. In the following videos I will try to put notes on specific points to highlight these types of situations.
❤Very well done!
Thanks friend! Glad you like it 😃
very interesting
Thank you ♥️
The tutorial looks good, but you should put in the title that this was modeled with the XNURBS version of Plasticity!! There are some user working with the non XNURBS version of Plasticity.
Thanks for the observation friend! In the video description clearly says that: XNurbs is used in the modeling process. The tittle Will be to long. Sorry for my english 😂
Learned a lot with your workflow. Amazing!!!Thanks❤👌👌👌what Plasticity version are you using to create this with? Thanks again
@@curiousity271 Hey man! If you have learned, the mission has been accomplished 💪🏻 I started with the INDIE version but when they included XNurbs i immediately jumped to the STUDIO version.
Nice work!

At 14:48, what is Shift+X command ... cannot find it in the F command list
@@tomlaionyt Hey Thomas! Shift+X= Delete selected face. Then i use patch command to close the resultant hole with G1 and G2 curvature on the sides. Hope it helps!
Can i put in a request for a product i have been trying to model and getting stuck a lot. Need help 😢
Sure! What are you trying to model? I can't promise anything but I'll take a look. You can write to me at the email that is in the description. Cheers!
I'm actually shocked at this software.. I've had my eye on it for some time. Gunna have to get it now. Very nice videos and modelling! Maybe you could show some texturing as well to completion? What software do you use for that? Cheers!
@@zanderman004 Hey Zanderman, I'm glad you like the content! You're right, it is a very good software... it is evolving very quickly! I use Blender and Keyshot. My texturing process is the most basic and simplest in the world 😃 it's only PBR materials, but I'll try to record a little about that topic. Excuse my English but I only speak Spanish :(
@@Polycad-3D Ah cool! First time hearing of KeyShot. Quite expensive; *gasp*. Yeah, the reasons I ask was 1) genuine curiosity and 2) The exported meshes look like they'll cause a headache, especially if you need to unwrap! No worries about the English, it's all fine. :) Thanks for the reply, I appreciate it. 👍
4:54 in this special case a looped loft of the 4 "edge bridge splines" with the edge G2 guides could make a cleaner result.
I totally agree man... xnurbs was giving me strange results and that's why I decided to use 4 sections but you are absolutely right.
The curve created from 7 minutes 35 seconds does not snap. How do you do it?
07:35 Hello friend! Look closely, it snaps, I just used a construction plane and the snap occurs at the intersection between the plane and the curve. slow the video speed to 0.25x and look when snap says: (Face plane, Curve, Region)
@@Polycad-3D Thank you for answer. It's not solved yet, but I created the curve in another way.
You are the best man! I enjoy watching your videos!
Thanks man, really appreciate your words!
Loved it , pls on tutorial for indie version, I don't have xnurbes
I'm glad you liked it man! In the next video, I will try to show the two workflows, (Patch / Loft) and XNurbs. They are practically the same, except that XNurbs is a little easier but in general it is 90% the same. If you allow me some advice: go for the STUDIO version when you can if you want to do (organic) modeling. If you're only going to make very angular objects, stay with INDIE. Sorry for my english, i just speak spanish :(
Saludos amigo!
A million thanks
