2025 Chevy Trax – the most affordable SUV. Engine, transmission, price
Learn more about the new 2025 Chevrolet Trax. This is one of the most affordable SUVs in the US right now and it starts at slightly over $21,000.
The vehicle is equipped with just one engine option which is the 1.2L Flex-Fuel 3-cylinder turbo engine offering 137 horsepower. The transmission option is the 6-speed automatic GM transmission - pretty good for the class.
In this video, I will tell you about the problems that the engine may throw and also about the competition of the 2025 Chevy Trax. I won’t express my opinion on the vehicle and will let you decide if you want it or not.

    I’m having the same problem with my 2007 Camry, I have taken the car to different auto shops, the scanner didn’t produce any error codes, according to some articles and videos on UA-cam, they suggests it might be as a result of a broken fuel cap. The parking pawl is designed to take the weight of the car, if it wasn’t they wouldn’t have put it in there. The only thing the parking brake does is add additional safety and remove the clunking when shifting out of park on a hill (in an automatic). Otherwise great advice!

    • @TopicMotor
      @TopicMotor Місяць тому

      The idea about parking pawl being enough to hold the weight of the car may seem like common sense. But unfortunately, it can crack if the hill is steep. I've seen 2 cases and people had to repair transmissions. Of course, the issue is not that common.

    Years ago, here in Australia, a motoring journalist questioned the practice of tyre rotation. He couldn’t get a definitive answer from the manufacturers. Front tyres wear quickly on the corners while rear tyres wear evenly straight across, as long as they and the undercarriage are properly maintained. Therefore, swapping front to back results in accelerated wear on all four tyres, until they all catch up. Leaving the presumably new spare in the boot/trunk means that when the front tyres, which always wear first, need replacing you are only up for the one tyre. You keep the better one until you can afford to replace it or until the rears need replacing, in which case you are still only up for two tyres. The only problems are that the new fronts need to be a suitable match, you might get a better deal buying a full set and you are not stuck with buying the same tyre everytime. Anyway, I always buy two or four at a time, keeping the better one for the spare. However, with the arrival of the differential destroying spare, rotation is a thing of the past!

    Here in Denmark you have to take your car for technical inspection every second year. Besides checking out if the car is roadsafe, does not pollute more than it's allowed, rhe cars milage (here in kilometres) is recorded. It's all a public record and you can trace back every TI (technical inspection) to the point the car was made. You can see on average how many kilometers the car was driven on yearly basis and this alone makes it almost impossible to cheat on odometer.

      Tire manufacturers aren't civilians too.

      This has nothing to do with trying to deceive civilians. It takes a lot less room and is a lot easier to catalog a four-digit date code then it is to do the entire month, day, and year. Running a business is about efficiency. Companies are always trying to find new ways to abbreviate things or make them shorter or more lean is the actual term they use.

    After washing my tires and letting dry . I peridoically spray 303 Protectant on sidewalls , outside and inside and even the tread . I just let it soak in without any issues . This is to help them resist drying out and cracking , especially in areas with constant sun and heat .

    It would be wise to help lighten the stress on your car transmission as much as possible. It costs $1000s to fix or replace automatic transmissions. 😮

    Put the gear on N is safe in traffic jam ?? Put in P is bad ?

    • @TopicMotor

      P or N - doesn't really matter - the difference is only in parking pawl being applied in P. Shift out of D only in cases when you are going to be stationary for quite long - over 2-3 minutes.

    Very good advice. I've been driving over fifty years and one thing I NEVER do is put the car in park without FIRST putting the floor brake on. NOTE : Always cut wheels towards the curb depending on what side of the street you're on and whether you're facing uphill or downhill. This is VERY important. If the parking break slips, the curb will keep you from rolling.

    Ok .Before disconnect old battery you can connect with another cable +battery old with + new battery and in the same you can do and negative.

    This doesn't happen in all cars btw, in my dad's toyota 2019 fortuner we changed the battery at home with no problems and also my mom's 2016 jeep renegade, and neither also in my v-strom650, that probably happens mostly in bmw cars

    I'm thinking this vid is BS. The only thing that happens is the computers will have to relearn a few things and you will fail emissions testing until several complete heat cold cycles (usually about 4) are completed. This is done to prevent cheating emissions by clearing bad codes just before test time.

  • @ads1035

    This is fundamentally incorrect. The firmware in the various control modules will simply run their setup routines once power is reapplied. All data in their flash memory will be retained. Items like fuel trims and transmission shift trims will be lost, since they're not stored in flash, but the vehicle will relearn them after only a few miles of driving.

    • @TopicMotor
      @TopicMotor 3 місяці тому

      It certainly will. Unless the ECU or the battery control module will set the limp mode or will ask you to "register" the new battery.

    • @ads1035
      @ads1035 3 місяці тому

      Again, fundamentally incorrect. Limp mode may be triggered by low voltages - indeed, my CTS has a weak battery mode that disables the HVAC blower and other functions if a low battery is used to start the engine, so that it can recharge the battery more quickly. But if a healthy battery is connected to a car, regardless of age, then the car will function properly. There's no logic in a lead acid battery TO register.

      Sorry, but what you are saying applies perfectly to older cars. I literally had the limp issue in a MB recently exactly because of battery being disconnected for 5 minutes. This gave me the idea for this video. Plus research in forums proved the idea.

    I changed my battery in my Chevy Volt 2014. You can supply the car with 12V with connectors in the front of the vehicle and change the battery in the back of the car. You just have to make sure you don't touch a metal part with the battery connectors while you change the battery. Special battery which I got at Canadian Tire. Thanks for the video!

    We've had this thing called EEPROM for over 30 years now. They are doing this to make them break.
