Easy DIY Bottle Sling Tutorial | Leathercraft
In this step-by-step DIY leather craft tutorial video, I show you how to make a simple bottle sling. This easy design is fun, quick, and doesn’t need stitching! Water bottle slings are a great way to conveniently carry your water bottle this summer. Simply toss it over your shoulder and your hands are free to enjoy a walk, hike, bike ride, and more. This design features adjustable straps so you can fit your various bottles. For this example, I’m using raw vegetable-tanned leather.
DOWNLOAD THE PATTERN: castilloheritagecrafts.com/products/no-stitch-bottle-sling
I’m also testing out a few new things I received from Cí Official, an online craft store that specializes in Leathercraft and Clay Crafting. They were generous enough to send two tools for me to try out, a mini strap cutter and a sweet edge burnishing machine. The tools arrived quickly, in only about 4 days! There were a few areas for improvement, but overall I’m quite pleased with how the tools performed. I give them a more thorough review in the video. If you’re interested in checking them out, here are some discount links. You'll receive 10% off your order:

In my case I'd prefer it be easier to locate, once inside the web site to locate the pattern, yes! but to locate the words PDF* it makes it easier for me, to look for those words, I'd click on those words and the print out process begins! Does your web page have those words? Or are the patterns in a digital format? To which I'd have to buy it first then have the patterns downloaded to my website page. I made the pattern myself, custom made. The belt is a sort of hybrid design. 10mm-thick belt, but it's 13mm where the smaller belt wraps around, which gives me extra support without being as stiff as an entirely 13mm belt would be. Also it's a 4-inch wide belt, and the middle strap/buckle is 2 inches.

My grandfather used one during the forties when he was a county deputy sheriff during WWII. When he asked for someone's I.D. and they smartmouthed him they got the business end of it. People respected the law back then, not like today. If you obeyed the law and complied, you didn't have anything to worry about, if not he would beat the hell out of you. Sounds like we some of that this day and time.

Press, Cambridge Massachusetts, 1969. Section 4 is "The Art of Dressing Leather" (tanning and dyeing). I just haven't had time to go over it. But from the foreword, for leather it contains 9 recipes for blacks and greys, 8 for reds, 9 for blues, 5 for greens, 1 for yellow, 1 for "dark wine" (morello) and 2 for gilding.

Also, don't wear it with the coin pouch out, wear it with the handle on the outside off your belt. This way if you do ever have to use it to protect yourself your already holding the handle when you deploy it.

Saps, a type of bludgeon, are prohibited under federal law and the laws of every State with which I'm familiar. These devices are categorized as "dangerous instruments". Such weapons are not afforded protection under the Second Amendment because no military force throughout history has customarily used them, thus saps do not qualify as "Arms".

I think in some states concealed carry licenses cover saps. But I'm not 100% sure, and it's best to check local laws. Thanks for watching!
