It was obvious the Navy Seal would lose in a fight however if the mission was to eliminate Strickland no way Strickland survives its almost as if each individual is prepared for a diffrent task 😮

I mean of course he’s gonna dominate almost anyone in hand to hand combat. Sure MMA has a lot of rules but if you think it doesn’t translate to street fighting and that those illegal moves are gonna give you a serious edge over a pro fighter you’re crazy. That being said SEALs have some of the most grueling military training in the world bc they have to be peak warriors with a far different skill set than UFC fighters. They train in hand to hand combat in case it comes down to that, which is rare. They obviously do far more shooting. They’re too different to compare

I think two facts that differ mma vs navy seal. Is that most mma trainers train since they were a child. Navy seals start training after graduation. And an mma settting is completely different setting than actual war. It’s like taking an mma fighter and make him go fight in the navy. I assume they will not perform well

Not quitting is like half of what SEAL training is all about. And they don't have the prestige they do for nothing. A pro MMA fighter will obviously beat a SEAL in a fist fight but MMA training is much less painful than SEAL training. You always get to go home and sleep at night, you always have a bed to sleep in, you can only push so hard without risking injuries etc. Military combat training is much more grueling

Pro MMA fighters may be the toughest hand to hand combat men in the world, but toughness is not only measured in hand to hand combat. Combat/survival is many different things. Would be interested to see you give Seal or other Special Forces training a try to see what happens. May tear up but would be fun to see. 0:04
