I have never once played a HALO Game (Grew up on PS2 & 3, moved to PC about 10 years ago) but damn it does it have a gorgeous Soundtrack.

awesome video. Only thing is for the original resource, i was able to get just my small town via the request, but trying to open it in microdem says geotiff required GDAL. trying to install it is a pain because apparently i need anaconda and for whatever reason the installer on their site fails

Halo. A game that has brought me joy through the years. A game I made lots of friends on and experienced so many laughs with. I’m scared for its future you guys. It feels like it’s just become a shell of its former self and soon will be met with nothing but disdain and the memories of those fun bygone years will be forgotten because of it. I genuinely hope halo gets back to a good place and can rebuild from there and earn the trust of its community again.

We’ve seen halo rise, soar and fall and i wish it either gets brought back the right way or if it needs to die it be done with already, its done so much for us that i hurt seeing what it ended up being

I will always fear the day the name halo draws nothing but emotionless stares and confused looks, thankfully it is not soon. The fanbase may be split on the newer titles, but 343 is doing what they can to keep it alive. They may not be the best, but theyre putting their heart and soul into the franchise. If bungie continued making halo, it would be unrecognizable to what came before.

Everytime I return to this I am overwhelmed by two perplexing emotions a profound sadness and a exciting happiness. I am sad that this particular era of gaming will never happen again but also great full that I got to experience it. Truly how mercifully cruel time can be.

I just wish we could have watched Rookie die IN ONE OF THE GAMES. Imagine a cutscene of his death from his perspective, Call of Duty style. You would have really felt the impact of it all, because while you may have seen Noble Six die, this was the first time in the series that you ever saw a player character die through their own eyes.

First time playing halo was with my dad when he bought halo 3 odst for me back in 2010, i was 7. Still in love with this franchise today. Long live halo

my country is too north

It was during a cloudy day, in the spring of mid May when i played this while spending time with Mama Nature: surrounded by trees, and rivers. Walking through, the clouds let one drop of rain fall. Then one by one as the one raindrop turned into millions, the thunder crashed and the music blended with the atmosphere so well... One of those lifetime experiences that you cherish till death comes knocking. ❤

This soundtrack is such a vibe. Whenever I have to pull an all-nighter (I work from home), I throw this on, dim the lights, and put on a thick robe while sipping a warm cup of coffee. Then I just melt away and feel so relaxed and nostalgic.

Halo reach was the first game I put HOURS into. Lol, I was in fifth grade when I played it.

This soundtrack fits the game perfectly. And the rediculous writing and facial expression of the characters in the cut scenes is so bad it makes you laugh your ass off to cut the dark emotion. I don't think Bungie intended it to be so good, but it worked.

the end of neon night is one of the most fantastic pieces of music ive ever heard. not much of a surprise a lot of that list is halo music tbh

I don't know who will read this, but this soundtrack always brings all my emotions out, and I just cry for hours. I remember playing the Halo games with my squad of 4 (not counting me), usually multiplayer, I remember seeing this one come out, and all 5 of us took turns one night playing this game. Drinking Mountain Dew and eating Little Ceasers. And slowly over the course of a few years, I lost two of them to Cancer and one to a car accident. Then had a very brutal falling out with the last one, all happening before I graduated HS in 2016. It's been a very long and super lonely 7 years, no one to talk to no one to laugh with, just this pent-up depression that I can't do anything with. I can relate to the Rookie being alone, behind enemy lines, and afraid of the next thing to come around the corner. There were many a time I just wanted to curl up and die since no one seemed to care for little ol' me and there was no light at the end of the tunnel. But since 2020, I got married and have two kids that I play games with to try and keep that little hope that someday, someone will come to rescue me. Keep up the fight soldiers, the hardest part is yet to come, it may seem bleak now but every second you're alive is a victory.
