The name Gringo Baker was given to me by in-laws and friends in Puerto Rico after they sampled my pies and other baked goods. I like it, so it seemed a great channel name.
I'm going to be sharing recipes and techniques in videos that I hope will show people how to make delicious baked goods. Many of the recipes I will use here are adapted from those created by other bakers, and some are originals that I created.
I hope you'll stay with me through my beginning videos, learn something, enjoy them, and subscribe.

Make this Delicious coleslaw
This video holds a special place in my heart for several reasons. It marks my first-ever remote shoot, filmed at my sister’s house in Maine, with her by my side as my assistant. You’ll hear her voice throughout the video, adding a personal touch.
But what truly makes this video unique is that I’ve dedicated it to my mother. The main reason for my visit to Maine was to hold a memorial service with my siblings in honor of our mom, who passed away last December after a long battle with dementia.
Family means everything to us, so my sister also organized a family reunion that same afternoon. I volunteered to bring coleslaw, and this video captures the result of that effort. The coleslaw is a clone of the one from a certain popular chicken fast-food chain, and I’m proud to say it turned out well enough that I think even the Colonel would have been pleased.
Recipe
1 head, or 8 cups, finely chopped Cabbage
1 large carrot, finely chopped
1 small/medium onion, finely chopped
1 cup Mayonaise
1/2 cup Buttermilk of buttermilk substitute
1/2 cup whole milk
2/3 cup sugar
5 TBS Lemon juice
3 TBS White Vinegar
1 teaspoon Salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper

This Macaroni and cheese is nothing at all like the boxed stuff you can get at the supermarket. For one thing, you can pronounce the name of every ingredient! I'd guess you could do either. And it's funny,but even though I commented on the onion smell when we were making it, and truthfully, we found out later that we used a LOT more onion than the recipe I had originally called for, and I I don't think it was particularly noticeable in the taste.

Perfect size for snacking or adding a scoop of ice cream.
Dangerously so! But, you're right, they come out to about three inches across, so they're good for about 4 bites...just right for a small dessert offering.
These are very popular with my family and friends...and so easy to make! Try them dipped in semi-sweet chocolate....and let me know if you made them.
I’ve a recipe similar to that, but the difference is that I use a frying pan. I’ll use your recipe next time. One question! Do you leave the potatoes skins in?

Mine did look a bit different and they did take closer to 30 minutes to cook. I used 4 potatoes not 2 like you used. Maybe that was the difference in time. Either way, they came out nice and were really good.
It was quite a bit easiet than tending them on a stove too.

Can this recipe be made in the crockpot?
If you mean, "could you dump the raw onions and potatoes in and cook them in a the crockpot and then add the other ingredients?", I guess you could. It would not taste the same though because the onions weren't caramelized, plus you'd still need to fry the salt pork. It doesn't seem like a time saver to me. Thanks for your comment.

You could freeze it when it doesn't set up or eat it with a spoon. I believe humidity effects fudge (like divinity).
