X-15 missiles can still home in if the ships aren’t fast enough to get away from the jammed radar cone. Also, the jammer has to be relatively in front of the missile (anywhere in the angle of the missile radar cone) to work because if the jammer is behind the missile, it won’t jam. It’s pretty weird to explain it but try to visualize it in game to understand

Can agree, I didn’t build this ship with aesthetics in mind. In fact, the name of it is ironic XD. The third armour layer can actually stop some AP rounds that sometimes the enemy uses. The ship was also designed to be tough as old boots, being able to fight more than one engagement with large enemy ships

@@randomspaceman3732 you CAN, but it’s not very good at interception. A-100s are generally better at intercepts, but if it’s a 180degree intercept, then KH-15 has a chance

I discovered that rockets are legit giant prox fuse rounds after dodging one with an up-engined lightning and then having it detonate and eviscerate the bottom half of the ship anyways

Yes they are available, both the R3N and R3, but only what you have from shipworks before starting campaign

That’s a new type of engine in the shape of RD51 called Nerva. It’s a low fuel-consumption but high power requirement thruster that was added into the mod (which due to game limitations, you can’t access it or any other new components in a campaign). The regular RD51s are still there btw

And that is, it is a "special experimental" engine. And they are installed on the same "special experimental" ship. We used to fly to Khiva, now we are flying Khiva ourselves. It's funny, now it seems clear why "flight to Hara Vera"

Fuel consumption is only small for the Nuclear “Nerva” engine that I described in another reply. Other thrusters have more or less similar consumption to vanilla.

And why 23k kilometers? Idk the exact formulas that go into calculating range but from what I can say, the ship is not very armoured so not so much weight + high thrust nuclear thrusters + lots of fuel

I’m kidding, Archangel is just bigger, more powerful, has better armour layout, but gladiator is faster and is less costly

Are you playing on a decent(ish) pc or laptop? If so then it’s just the game being not-so optimised. Sometimes the game lags for no reason even on my end, but restarting my pc always helped

@@kaptainbeans and besides the point, I have settings set to lowest possible and even in the map it lags do much, have to play using strategical assets such as missiles and planes

@@kaptainbeans в файлах игры. Прописываю строку, что это корабль флагман, а игра не реагирует. Все флагманы, созданые до мода работают.

@@shieldbearer8115 I really mean the tutorial is very similar and some of the tarkans are just reskined. The master is also just Admiral daud. But i did really love all of the art and this mod with all my heart so for me an honest review is 0/10 game too hard (9/10)

I really enjoyed the difficulty in the latest version, the AI ship designs are really scary compared to vanilla. The story was a bit dissapointing since no major events happen including the ending but i understand that many things are not modable.

A jammer does kinda distort your real location on enemy radar (the grains on the radar screen) but the problem is that they will know you’re jamming and will start to use anti-radiation missiles (KH-15P, which locks ONTO radar or jammer)

You can get away with 6 37mm guns if you place your shots well, unlike how I did in the video. Having missiles is a good defense but it’s not 100% reliable. It’s always good to have layers of defense in this game, a bit of strategic defense and a bit of CIWS helps

It is cost effective to have guns if it’s 37mm or 57mm because you don’t buy HE ammo, it comes free. This does cost a lot of upfront prices, but will work when you have it. Missiles on the other hand, have to be replenished which is the leading cost here, but the missiles upfront are not as much as guns + ammo modules + power
