Flying a sailplane over Switzerland - Glider aircraft flight training - Discus 2b
It´s been calm for a while on this channel...
A lot of good things happened during the past months that prevented me from creating more videos and live streams.
Amongst those things is that I started my flight training for a gliders pilots license in Switzerland. Therefore, you might see some more REAL (and not only simulated) flights on this channel soon :)
In this video you will find some impressions from one of my flights during the training program including the beautiful scenery over the Lake Walen region, in between the cantons of Zurich, St. Gall, Schwyz and Glarus.
The weather was beautiful on that day. However, not the best conditions for gliding. Due to the late time of the year, only light winds and almost no cumulus clouds, there were hardly any thermals or dynamic lift.
Thus, the flight was not really long. But still beautiful.
Other pilots on that day did a better job and were able to stay in the air a bit longer. I guess practice makes it perfect... :)
Hope you like the video.
Wishing you all the best!

teurer Schlepp in toter Luft....
Absolut :)
Viele Grüße aus Zürich!!
The pilot and co pilot were idiots, simple
nicely researched but faaaar too many unncessary gimmick sound effects for my taste, and they are far too loud compared to your voice. better leave those out in the future.
Very knowledgeable video
Why when I played the (( flight control replay )) my aircraft cockpit is dead (( no information ) such as your @ 1:40 ? can you plz help .. Thanks a lot
U were spot on dear..Very clearly narrated the chain of events which might hvae taken in this tragic air plane crash

A safety valve prevents hydraulic pressure to the landing gear system if you fly faster than 260 knots. If you cycle the landing gear lever you will shift the LGCIUs and they are fully redundant. Lastly you have gravity extension. If you land and aircraft in the belly without informing ATC you are a moron. Also belly landing and chasing your mind is crazy.
Today I came to Silchar from Calcutta to Silchar with my family and parents by Indigo flight and the Aircraft was Airbus A 320 NEO.The pilot of the captain was Mr Sangket Parikh .Our Aircraft took from Netaji Subhas Basu Airport Calcutta at 11:07 pm . Before take off the captain of the Aircraft told us all the passangers that a turbulence is expected after take off but he told us passengers not to get worried or nervous but rather to remain seated on our seats with our seat belts fastened calm composed and relaxed🙄.When the Aircraft took off after some 10 minutes the aircraft while flying through dense clouds started to twist and turn and bounce like a ping pong ball. All of us passengers were dead silent and after 48 minutes when we were about to land at Khumbirgram Airport Silchar the pilot brought down the Aircraft almost on the runway but again suddenly the Captain of the Aircraft climbed again and started to fly on go round basis and thanks to Almighty God(Allah) the aircraft landed smoothly after tense 5 minutes😮🙏. When the Aircraft successfully landed at the Airport I suddenly remembered of this tragic Air Crash where the captain of this Aircraft landed the Airbus A320 Aircraft at first attempt unfortunately after landing the lower portion of the Aircraft hit against the hard surface of the tarmac which produced a spark and when afterwards the pilot climbed again to make landing on Go round basis unfortunately which the captain of the Aircraft failed and many passengers lost their lives only 2 passengers luckily managed to survive 😢🙏
Came here via a person's comment on the blancolirio (Juan Browne) YT channel.

Precioso video y mierda de música😢😢😢😢😢
Gracias!
Is thus your own glider
No its a club glider.
Ich trau den dingern nicht. Man muss doch ständig angst haben dass man nicht zurückkommz weil man über einen berg nicht drüberkommt oder so??? Oder kreist man da stöndig nur um den flugplatz? Paragleiten is viel besser.

Nice !! BTW, what's the name of the towing plane ?
It is a Robin DR401.
@@cptmaydaynicknamed “cadet”? It’s a French plane isn’t it?
I've looped in a Grob Viking wings bent like crazy.
go outside then😂
that was awesome man
Thanks, Douglas:)
Hello Max, miss you man, wish you create videos again like before.
Do you need to have the aircraft running and in a similar state to replay the flights?
*PromoSM* 💪
Many thanks, this video helped me a lot!😉
Thanks Denys... Was nice meeting you. See you around at the airfield!
Good job
Brake temps?
Landing gear didn’t extract because it was too high and speed was so fast.
Both pilots are 100% responsible for this tragic accident. Pilots seem over confident and violated SOPs which led to crash.
Criminal negligence by pilots
Greetings, could you tell me the name of this addon, I went to the link that you leave from simmarket, but the program is no longer there, I need the name to search it on the web. Thanks a lot .
GetThereitis is strong on this particular flight . Pilots got startled when they start grinding the bottom of the plane they do a go around . If they just stick with belly landing . They are all probably be alive
I never knew you were allowed to do mayday emergencies on vatsim!
You are allowed to do a mayday but you are not to simulate hijacking’s and an radio fail

From flight sims to the skies 👏👏great vid, awesome camera angles
Nice! Can this tool be dragged out of the MSFS window to a second screen?
Very good video quality!
Godspeed, my good friend. 🙂
Beautiful!
Great video and amazing views! Keep up the great work and hopefully we'll see more of these videos 😃
Great to see you upload a video. I was in a good position with your sim flights leader board. I was ranked high with another user called ManhattenWilliam if I remember. Good luck with your flying lessons. You'll be a 747 pilot one day ... if there 747 is still in operation. 👍👍👍
Thank you!
Great work and superb video with the currently available information! I'm looking forward for the video after the final report is published. I especially appreciate that you clearly marked all details where data is still missing. If only general news reporting would be equally accurate all around the globe!
Does this tool actually replays all the controls correctly? On freeware tools, the replays are always fucked up (retracted flaps, fully deployed spoilers on final approach and such things, because it seems to always remember the last state of the aircraft instead of picking the state which was actually active when recording).
Emergency inbound but number two ahahahahhahahah
This case seems so super weird to me. How can a so experienced captain continue with an approach which is obviously not stable at all. Its feel like someone forced them. Its so super weird.
Great video, appart from starting the APU i would have also engaged the Yellow Electric Pump to reduce the load from the PTU which is constantly transfering Hydraulic power from the engine number 1 to the number 2 😊
