    I tried so hard, i thought i got it. When i recorded to check if any strains, it was so bad. I sounded like a dying goat. I just cant sing, i have been self taught since i was a few months old, and yet i can say i dissapointed myself rlly. Ur tip is nice, but i think i'm quitting. My voice is just bad and squeeky, i cant get anywhere with my voice. Even if i could sing, my voice is not meant for a good sound

      I’m sorry to hear this. It does take time and if you really would love to learn to sing it sounds like you need some lessons so you have feedback and guidance. Most people need a guide or teacher as most people can’t work it out on themselves. Also recording yourself isn’t your real voice - it’s a small slither of your voice - the phone can only capture a section. Better to sing in the bathroom or use my in-ears (cupping your ears) for your true sound. Most people are horrified when they hear their recordings on a phone but it’s not a reliable way too track progress.

      Steaming is a great tool. Yes just water. You can add things if you like - see how you go. I like having a steamer over night while I’m sleeping too really help break the cycle of dry throat. For warm steam you need to wait about 20 minutes before you vocalise or for cool steam you can sing straight away. Let me know how you go. A

    This is a beautiful explanation! I always tried to force the voice forward bc I’ve always heard of forward placement, but I’ve NEVER thought to roll the voice back for the high notes! That’s actually crazy what a difference that makes when I experiment with it! I gained so many notes I didn’t know I had by actually changing my ideas of placement. I’d been trying to sing high notes in the low note placement you described, more in the mouth space rather than the soft palette space.

    How do i actually place the high notes backwards without muffling the sound…cause if i go backwards it’s sounds like a muffled high note…when i do head voice(it feels backwards) it’s very powerful though…but when i try to belt the head voice note…it still sounds like head voice but whiny and bright but muffled. So its harder. (I have been working on mixed voice for 7 months too) im not sure

    • @AngiesVocals
      @AngiesVocals 23 дні тому

      There is a mix of both front and back at the save time. Most people focus on one or the other but it needs both at the same time. You may need to add some phyrangeal in (nasty) or try some fry to neutralise the larynx. Let me know how you go.

      @@AngiesVocals It's a great tip. Yesterday it was great, but today I was tired as waiking up and I sang for at least 6 hours. I started to sing a few songs then I was working on "if you love me" Brownstone" and recorded the background vocals as well, so now my voice is tired. I think It's natural: first bad sleep and singing hard song for to much hours... Do you agree? We can't sing 4 octaves and a half for to much hours?

    • @AngiesVocals
      @AngiesVocals Місяць тому

      Ah wow. Yes that’s a lot of singing when trying a new technique. Were your ears/head phones mixed full and warm? They should sound like when you cup your ears and sing it in a bathroom, this reduces muscle/tongue tension faster. But yes technically if you are singing correctly and in voice freedom it should get better the longer you sing. 😊🎉🎉 but that can take a while to attain.. but it’s worth it. 😊🎶🎤

      @AngiesVocals Good evening and thank you very much for your kind answer. Actually, I don't have a feedback at all. And I need to hear myself more when I am in a mixed voice, to control it... but when I put the feedback, I get a big whistle in my ears... You can see on my UA-cam, I do put my hand as a "cup to hear myself better, but this and it's not a way to perform, also, I get to much decibels in my right hear... And I'm starting to lose my right ear... Your tip really helps me, I sang a lot today, and If it wasn't for sleep I'll be still singing 😅 At first I thought your tip would make my voice less tired, which it did, but I thought I would lose my roundness in my hight notes, but no. Gentle fry siren up to the high note first to show you how it should feel when you sing the high note- the fry balances the larynx and when you don’t let your tongue lift at the back you can feel it. The tongue drops down when you hit the higher notes and areas of your range
