I made this video 13 years ago. I made it in honor of my father who had recently passed away, he was a WW2 veteran, flight crew with the R.C.A.F. Flying bombing missions over Germany, he went through hell. Missions were 8 hrous long, typically 7 hours of boredom, and 1 hour of sheer terror. I am forever grateful to ALL veterans that fought for our country.

Hey Scott. How are you doing Brother. Man we need more of your videos.
What belt size did you use for your snarler??? I need to know cause I’m having a hard time find one for mine
Call L1fe Outdoors in Ontario. There are different sizes, depending on what clutches you have.
By the way, great video!!
Hi Mr Scott ! I´d like to ask about Parking break. I'm from Brazil and looking for information and how to adjust brakes, I came to your channel. I would like to know how to adjust the parking brake, my quadricycle has a loose brake, when I press it it still moves. Thanks!!
hello Scott wich belt please. my belt is brocken i have segway snarler 600 GLF 934-33-26 or 934-33-28 the right one? thank you very much
mine has the same marking, 600GL and uses belt 934 33 28. I don't think it's a cv tech gearbox, the engine is 2021
@@deutschlandarbeit333 thank you 🙏 Mine is CX CVT not tech .in 2 weeks I changed two bel I don’t know were the problem . The 9343326 is Brocken and the second one 28 is Brocken too after 500 km 🥹 I drive 100 km/h and is Brocken at the high way
Hello Would you recommend the snarler at6 l?
It’s a great machine and yes I’d highly recommend it. However I would look at the new AT10 as well.
On the video the belt didn’t fully tighten up when you removed the M8 bolt, which is the problem I’m having. How did you get it to fully tighten?
Just revved up the engine
at the time 2:11, what is the size of bits tip? and the 1/2 or 3/8 ratchet?
Cheap harbor freight bearings I was going buy but not now…
Hey amazing video!!! Love it! Also how kms do you drive before you change the oil. I just bought a new 2023 same as yours
Hi Tac. 300 km for first change. Every 1000km after that. If you subscribe to my channel I have many other videos on here about maintenance on the Snarler.
I did subscribe! I watched many of them already! And thank you for the reply!
Did you upgrade the clutch to mount 30’s?
Yes, I did the work myself to increase rpm’s and engagement strength
Question, I have one of these machines, I’m thinking I was ripped off though, it’s a financial loan but, the friggin thing was a nightmare to get in and out of gear, so I didn’t use for awhile. My son took it out for a drive, he stalls out, we got it going again, than the belt blew apart. I was wondering if the belt had anything to do with the machine being a nightmare to get in and out of gear ?
Qual o número da correia
Hi scott, hows the snarler doing after 1 year? Still happy with it?
Had it 2-1/2 years now and love it. It’s been extremely reliable.
Hi scott, one year ago i saw your video, i wonder how its going with your segway atv after one year.
I got it July 2021 so it’s 2-1/2 now. I regularly beat it pretty good but do excellent maintenance on it. No issues other than wheel bearings and now I know how to service them, no issues with those anymore either
Hello everyone, I would like to know the dimensions of the variator belt for the Segway 600 ATV, what is its replacement
Just hot myself one of them Segways it's my first ATV so every knowledge is appreciated 👍
Well, I have noticed that a lot not all but a lot of breakdowns are because of maintenance that wasn’t done. Dealers and todays owners manuals do not tell you anything! This isn’t just Segway, but every brand out there. I’ve seen so many broken machines because people say “oh it’ll be fine”. We put these things under incredible stress, and A-1 maintenance is critical to not just going out to play on them, but getting home afterwards !
Can I put 35.8.939 mitsuboshi beşt on segway 570 snarler atv?
I have no idea!
Thank's for the good video !
Hi Scott, just a quick question - having driven my Snarler for an hour in the woods I realized my CVT cover (the one on the lefthand side above the footrest) is pretty warm. Not hot, you can touch for a moment with bare hand without getting burned but you can not keep you hand for long like that because of heat. Is that normal? I had had my CVT changed some time ago at the dealer's (Segway service call - there had been a factory problem with the previous CVT)
Ok if you had the recall done and the new belt box and cover put on, it will of course heat up with use, but shouldn’t get too hot. The new box also has a new clutch cover fan and significantly increases air flow through it. It exits inside of rear left wheel. Make sure you have high airflow! Put your hand over the outlet. Have someone else Rev it a bit unless you can reach outlet and throttle yourself. When you rev it ( 3500-4500 rpm ) you should definitely feel air flow out the belt box exhaust. If you do, it’s probably ok, if not it needs to be checked.
@@scotthyatt4751Many thanks, will check the air flow. You are the lifesaver.😊
Air flow seems to be fine - checked it as you advised. Many thanks again.
Thank's for the good video !
It would be nice to know the size of bearing. Do you know if they are 30mm x 63mm x 42mm ?
I honestly don’t remember the size. I pulled an old one out and measured it with a micrometer. However I couldn’t find any manufacturer that made that size so ended up ordering from my dealer. 30 bucks Canadian each L1fe Outdoor, Newhamburg Ontario
What is the wix cross reference number to the oem oil filter
I’m sorry I don’t know. I just buy it from dealer

I use approx 10L / 100 km average.

@@EyZfrUp62002 that’s when I get 10L / 100 km. On long rides about 50 - 60 kph. Of course in mud pits you don’t get that, or anything that uses a lot more throttle. But a long “cruise” yes

Hello, I am thinking about buying one for myself but i just have a quick question about the reliability and your experiences with the quad. I have read that some people have had a lot of trouble with the Snarlers. Thank you
Personally minimal issues, a few small things that warranty covered. Now, people I ride with that have other brands , canam, Polaris, arctic cat, wow. Major issues with those brands! Personally this machine is very tough, very dependable, and I would buy again in a heartbeat.
@@scotthyatt4751 okay, I know that no matter the brand I choose I will have some issues, I guess it's just a matter of luck which machine you get. Thank you for your answer
We don't have anything below 95 here in europe so that would be double premium 😊
i belgium, we do have a little lower smth like 85-87 i think
95 in Europe is not real 95, it's more like 92 or 87.
Thank you for your videos...I am learning good things about maintaining and servicing Snarler. How often those clutches fail...or its only the belt that fails more...and if belt fails then clutches get damaged too ?
Hi how are ya! Ok clutches are a mechanical item. They could last 20 years, or break tomorrow. So far on Segway, the clutches have been pretty good. As for your second question, it would be pretty hard for clutches to be damaged by a failed belt. Not impossible, but very very rare.
Hello, my friend, all the love and respect for you. We love your videos, but make them longer so that they start from scratch and show how the disassembly and installation process is for beginners. I want to ask about the small air hose that is clear in the video. What is this and what does it do? Can you make a video about it? Thank you, keep going.

That’s for Canada. If your not in Canada you need to true in the exact name and confirm it is 30mm.
Well I am from Romania, i measured the bearings on my segway and they are also 30mm. Thank you!
Hi Scott - I am a huge enthusiast of your DIY videos. I have a question regarding oil pressure gauge. It occasionally flashes (it does not stay on for longer than a second - just a flash and goes of) while riding. I checked the oil level - it is fine, right in the middle of the notches on the dipstick as indicated in service manual. Engine temperature remains at the middle of the scale on LCD panel. Do you have any idea what to do about it? (I have got only 230 km on my Snarler - in two weeks expecting to leave it with a dealer for the first inspection - I just do not want the dealer to bullshit me about improper handling of the vehicle)
Hi Adam YES ! I do ! Many and I mean many have defective oil pressure sensors. ( mine went 2x! ) it is a very well known warranty issue. As long as oil is full on stick you won’t hurt to ride it until you get sensor replaced.
@@scotthyatt4751 Many thanks Scott - I will escalate that issue to my dealer. Segway is not a popular ATV here, it has only begun making it's presence in the market, so hardly few people know it's typical issues. Many thanks for help!!!
@@adamfigiel3640 No worries! It may not be popular yet, but it will be. They really are superior machines.
You're the man!
Hi I want to ask something If you can answer when I open the cap for oil level check oil smells like fuel gasoline and oil lamp is blinking is it this normal or something is wrong with my engine

Hi, Scott. The complect of snorkels and radiator taking out you bued, or making by yourself? I can't find already for two months.

Hello. I am servicing my snarler now. it got to the u-joint and I found only one lubrication point near the front diff. can't all other u-joints be oiled? I don't see grease fittings in them. Probably need to disassemble the entire drive axle. Still very interesting, how did you make the grease fitting in the front ball joint?
The ujoints(at least on mine both has grease fittings, but you need a grease needle to do them. The ball joints I drilled and tapped and put my own grease fitting in

Why are you suing the pvc elbow and small 3” piece ? Couldn’t you attach that white flex hose directly to the inlet ?
