Sacred Buttons Cactus Seed Starting Kit
Do you by chance have a discord group, iv been watching a ton of videos about cacti and I remember someone said they had one but I can't remember who , I'm having a hard time I identifying a cactus it has the structure of a PC Pedro but has a blue farina and 4 redish black very small spines
Do you happen to know how this affects alkaloid content
Does it cause euphoria and hallucinations?
planted seeds 2 days ago, did everything he said, have had them under grow light since, no results, how long should i wait till germination begins, am i doing something wrong, please lmk
@@bradbattles4417 The seeds can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks to germinate. Make sure to keep them nice and warm for the best results.
@@SacredButtons should i put a heating pad underneath them? I think alot of the water that can drain has and wont cause a problem?
@@bradbattles4417 It depends on the temperature of your grow space. If it is above 80°F then it should be fine. If it is below then a heat mat will help.
He sterilized the dirt overnight only to contaminate again at 1:59
Interesting
Your plants are just lovely. I'm in the US and so can only watch with longing... I do have a tiny button given to me by a friend several months ago, and though I initially thought it was going to die, your videos have provided the guidance I need to help it along. I'm now confident that it is stable, and may even start growing noticeably. She keeps telling me that they are very slow growing. Perhaps I should not look at it expectantly every day- too much pressure! ;)
@@mauralancaster Thank you, I'm glad you have found value in my videos! 😁
Aka shwag
😎🫘
wow
Dude this is great I have several ceaspiatosa plants that have 15 or more buttons so I can easily do this and increase my peyote plant stock is there a way to de-graft later to a shallower stock when ot gets huge?
@@EllisStcroix Yes, it is possible to de-graft them. I will do a video on it eventually. 🙂
I do I get started I’m only familiar with house plants do I need a special environment for them?
@@user-ru6tt5nd4z They are pretty easy to care for. They will be happy growing indoors in a window sill. There is plenty of information here on our UA-cam as well as the peyote info page of our website. 🙂 sacredbuttons.com/pages/peyote-info
Got another q? For ya if u don't mind.. How close do u keep ur lights when their a month or so old? I'm starting to see the areolas popping up and I feel like maybe I should put my light closer. I probably have it 14-16in away now.
@@gbeagle417 It really depends on your specific light. As they get older you can move them closer and closer. Just keep an eye on them and make sure they don't start burning, turning red. If they do they need to be moved away from the light.
@@SacredButtons it's just a flouresent plant bulb from Wal mart that has a double bulb
@@gbeagle417 Just move it a couple of inches closer every few weeks or so. Probably be alright getting it to around 6 inches away.
How old is that one
@@shanewalker701 Around a year and a half I believe.
@@SacredButtons mine are growing slowly
How much time does it take to grow
@@KenzenVaz Peyote, when cultivated indoors under proper conditions, will usually mature and flower at around the 2 to 3 year mark. It takes significantly longer in the wild, taking 8 to 10 years or more.
So beautiful!
makes e soo happy,, need to find seeds
@@nevereverforever0010-uf9su Where are you located?
@@SacredButtons Canada. already seen your website, super awesome <3 gna get some seeds eventually. or one that's already been grown for a bit
@@SacredButtons nice work
@@nevereverforever0010-uf9su Thank you. 🙂
So good information. Just a question, is it posible to grow lophophora or maybe ariocarpus on those ligths? I mean, no sun at all, just the spiderfarmers. In a growtent maybe? Thanks
@@jacobgarcia3597 Yes, Lophophora grow very well exclusively under grow lights. Grow tents are great because they keep the temperature up, which cacti like. 🙂
I found them very hard to grow from seed 😔
@@_cloudface_ They can be a little tricky but we sell starts so you can avoid this problem. 🙂
Any usa availability?
@@morehart505 Hello, we ship everything except Lophophora Williamsii to the USA. Please visit us at www.sacredbuttons.com
Why are they so cute❤
These are common referred to as hallucinogenic mushrooms although it’s not a mushroom. They are used in indigenous ceremonies
No one thinks peyote are shrooms lol
they are not referred to as mushrooms.
They're hallucinogenic alright but not once in my life have i heard someone refer to peyote as mushrooms lol
Why do you have some blood on your hand 😂
Prob a murderer or serial killer
Fun fact if consumed in any form or state it has properties that will have you high as a kite
Fun fact, you’ll have to consume at least 40 years of growth to trip. So why not just leave it and use San Pedro cacti instead.
No you have to process the mescaline salts if you want to get “high as a kite”
Why so many? Are they special cacti?
@@diamondastor9720 Yes, they are a sacred cacti which I sell on our website. 🙂
They um…make you trip so hard you’ll think you’re in looney tunes 😂
i need❤
At what point can you eat them ?
You shouldn’t eat them eat San Pedro instead penis cactus has more mescaline and grows faster
@@aaaaaaaaaaa9112exactly. You’ll have to consume at least 40 years of growth to “trip” at that point u should just use sp or like u said peen.
@aaaaaaaaaaa9112 it's harder to harvest though. Peyote buttons are so much easier!
@@flash2tz it’s not right to take peyote it’s disrespectful to the natives I mean do what you want but it’s just not worth it
The dream machine...
Good video.
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it.
It doesn’t show the bottom. Does it come as a cutting or with roots? If it’s cut what are you putting on it when it’s cut & how long is it left to dry before shipping?
They are seedlings with roots. 🙂
Very concise and articulate. I learned a lot fast. Thank you !
You're very welcome!

Thank you 😊

I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Finding coarse sand that i'm sure is not just regular sand (too fine) has been a challenge. Even at nurseries i see them selling play sand
Where are you located?
You showed the boiling water method before. Is the oven better, or just another process that you want to teach? The boiling water method seems easier with less equipment, and my only worry is the tub will melt.
The pasteurization method is a little more complicated, but it will fight much better against contamination.
Is neem oil enough to keep from contamination? Or if pasteurization is necessary, should I still use neem oil?
I've never used neem oil. If pasteurized correctly, nothing else will be needed.
What percentage u putting those spiders on? That's the same light I have and was gonna use my tent to grow my adolescent? I was told its eight yrs old.. Do I still want my light far away.
I don't use the dimmer on mine. Yes, even mature plants are sensitive to too much light. I would keep it two to three feet away.
@@SacredButtonsyeah I have them about 32in away..got scared of full power so I started em on 80. They spent the last week in the leafy shade of my pot plants. I will be checking on em every 4hrs.. It's gonna be rainy here so I want to supplement the light.
@@gbeagle417 Let me know how it goes. :)
@@SacredButtons after the first day on 80% they almost seemed to be "perking up" sorry I grow a lot of reg plants so that's the description I came up with haha..no discoloration and they seemed to like it.. Thanks for the reply.. I might came back to this video if I have any other q?s I guess I do have one more. For seeds when can I start giving em more light then just a window? Their about month old right now.
Sacred indeed
Thank you sir, I just received my peyote seems today in the mail. It sounds kind of complicated but I just gotta follow the instructions to do it correct ❤❤
Good luck! Let me know how it goes. :)
Does the quality of water matter when cultivate at home vs rain water out in the natural environment?
When germinating, I use spring water. At every other stage of life I use tap water. I've used tap water in three different cities with no problems. Of course, every city is different.
@@SacredButtons Thank you for the reply,I really appreciate you sharing this info.
@@Bruzumi You're very welcome!
@@SacredButtons I also wanted to ask Do you have any recommendations? since I could not find 2-7-7 ( I don't know what this means) Organic liquid fertilizer. I found Shultz but not organic and other brands have organic but not 2-7-7.
@@Bruzumi Any cactus specific fertilizer should work fine. 🙂
Thank you for this very interesting video!
You're very welcome. 🙂
My friend, will the root grow new buttons?
Depends how much you left
Hi, do you know how to make caespitose peyote produce more offshoots? Mine haven't produced new heads in years
What about using acloth pot? I just recieved 2 buttons, should they be potted separately?
I would stick to a clay pot. No they do not have to be separated as long as they have room to grow
Thanks for an awesome-straight to the point-video!
You're very welcome!
I've got 2 pretty big bulbs right now how would I go about harvesting them and regrowing new bulbs from the same plant?
Amazing video thank you so much you got a new subscriber for sure my man
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed the video. 🙂
Is that a grow light
Yes, a Spider Farmer LED grow light.
