Film Fridays - Chemicals & supplies for color film
Since the host is leaving it up to "you guys," my absolute conclusion is that my homemade lens which I built from scratch, costing me only 300 dollars, beats both of these Canon lens with flying colors. These two Canon lens, priced at thousands of dollars, cannot hold a candle to my 300 dollars homemade lens in terms of sharpness, autofocus, stabilization, and color rendering.
The only reason I bought this lens 28-70mm, f/2 is how big it is and the manual states that owning this lens will make your dick grow to the size of this lens.
"At a draw" my ass. At low light or shooting inside, the lens with the f/2 wins 1,000 percent of the time. The main reason people bought the 28-70mm, f/2 is for shooting inside under low light so they do not have to jack up the ISO, period.
Yes I purchased Nikon D780 because I could use my old f mount lenes, and I shoot using the viewing through the lens method. After all learned to first shoot 35mm file on a Nikon F2. Love the feel of the Nikon D780 in my hands.
Thank you Soo much. I just got the old Kamera from my parents and it's the same as you have
I was about to drive to a repair shop cuz I couldn’t figure out why it was blurry 😂 omg thank you 🙏🏽 ❤
my camera dont have the release button ??? i must be thick
The minimum focus is NOT "1.28 inches." It's 1.28 FEET
They really need to put a big sign that should say move till CLICK sound
Im not getting the click :( should i be rougher?
The MFD of 28-70 is 39cm (1.28 ft not inch). 1.28 inch can only happen to macro lenses
I don't understand why so many people complained about this review. Both lenses are great and this is what he wanted to tell. Is the 28-70 heavy? Of course, does it have better optics? No doubts about it! Is it a reason to choose over 24-70? Of course not, because it really depends on the situation and the person.
thanks😊
Thanks for such a clear and concise video!
Well Hallelujah! I Could not figure out WHY I could not get the auto focus to work - kept saying lens was on wrong. The secret you just showed: Turn until you hear a "CLICK". Soooo many thanks!!!!!
thankyou
Totally unrelated. These two would make a nice couple.
What you should have done was compare the EF 50 mm f. 1.2 on the EOS 1dx. Mark II, then compare the RF 50 mm f 1.2 on the Canon R3. The EF was designed for film and digital cameras. Dslrs and the RF was designed for the yard cameras so naturally is a very poor comparison.
Thank you for excellent review🙏 my rf 28-70 f2l combo with rf 85 1.2l.
This the camera that ruined Olympus, after this they where gone. Kind of says it all. I give it the award of the most ridiculous camera ever made.
its a portrait lens, don’t shoot bicycles
This. So many "comparison" videos about this portrait lens and not one single portrait shown.
Great video 4 years later!
Hi. My lens is kinda stuck, i cant take it off of the camera, idk what to do. is there any solution?
Thanks ❤
Bravo! Great job you guys!!!
I'm just having trouble putting in my 50mm in my canon t7
Same! Did you ever figure it out?
@xohsnappitsdanyax at the time I bought the wrong lense. Instead of the EF 50mm. I got the RF 50mm for the mirrorless model. I still have it in case if I ever get a mirror less Canon camera, but it wasn't nice spending that $$$ at the time.
The 28-70 f2 is a wedding, portrait, product, and event lens. For street photography or general purpose and video the 24-70 2.8 is ideal and the better option.
Nice vídeo.
Thank you ❤
Thank you thank you thank you!! I was wondering why my images were blurry and dark I thought I mounted the lens correctly but didn’t hear the click and didn’t want to turn it more thinking I was going to break it!! Worked perfectly
Still my lens it says "your lens is not propery fixed"
Thank you for the simple explanation!
Think I got lucky with my 24-70, images are so sharp I mix up with my 85 prime similar shots. for now I’ll stick with this over the 28-70. Maybe one day

I watched your video and found it very interesting. My concern is one critical point everyone explains incorrectly. There are 2 key points when discussing image sensors. These are the Optical characteristics and the Technical characteristics of every image sensor. You did a great job explaining the Optical differences and failed, like everyone else, the Technical aspects of the image sensor were not clear. An image sensor is an electronic component with technical limitations. The size of the sensor does not change these technical limitations. For example, the sensor has an active noise component (floor) the moment the camera is switched on. Dishonest marketers decided not to tell the truth because selling more FF cameras is more important. We have the opportunity to manage the sensor's saturation and SNR. How does one do that? The daily repeated marketing phrase claiming "One sensor captures more light" is dishonest. The challenge we ALL face is how to best deal with the different reflected light intensities from the scene. All image sensors undersaturate in the shadow parts of the scene. That means a lower SNR and more visible image noise in the shadows. Your ISO simply amplifies the lower SNR in the shadow parts of the image signal. Why do all image sensors produce excellent image quality in bright light, and NOT only M43 sensors? Because the sensor saturates in good light. That means a high SNR, low visible noise, and more tonal data. Why? (think gamma & tonal data distribution) Go to my Blog for more information on what digital photographers should know... This is a parfocal lens?
Can't find one anywhere. I guess they stopped making them.
Did you eventually get one?
Yes I finally did. @BruceLeroyUK
@BruceLeroyUK Yes I did 💯💯
@@dreadnoughtphotowerkz nice! What do you think of it?
@BruceLeroyUK In contract to the only non Canon lens that I own, which is the Sigma 120-300mm for the EF mount, which I adapted to my Canon R3, it's much better and lighter. I'm ready to use with the Canon R1 once I buy one.
Thank you so much
Thank you so much. But why fujifilm does not offer an external battery charger?? By charging internally, does the camera not overheat to the point of requiring a rest period before use?? Something that can slow down
'Promo SM' 😆
With the Bowens mount on, I had to adapt the inner casing of the suitcase with a cutter knife. Now it fits well.
Hey, thanks for the video its been really helpful as it was really the only one to demonstrate zoo photography which is my key interest in photography! I ordered the lens earlier today so still waiting for it to arrive, but previously have been using a 55-200mm (similarly to you) which was pretty good anyway, but I'm glad to know that the little extra reach im wanting will definitely be satisfied now!!
Also, I 100% agree with the flamingoes being an icon. The dark colour of the water as a background definitely brings out the pink in their feathers and makes them that little bit more vibrant
Now, what are the downsides?
I have an X-S10 and like it. I just ordered the X-S20. I like the IBIS and the better battery and grip.
is this gives prime quality out put ?
Looking forward to purchasing it this year. Enjoy shopping at your store in SA,Tx
As an avid photography enthusiast, I am always on the lookout for innovative cameras that can push the boundaries of my creativity, and this overview did not disappoint.
This review did not age well.
I went with the 24-70, like you said I didn't like the feel of the 28 and was too heavy for my liking. I do way more video than portrait work so going with the IS is what made my decision
Which lens would you use for video only?
24-70
