Here we have a recently rebuilt Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X FQ330 SST
The car is in very good condition with a unique paint scheme of red with dark grey accents, done to a high standard.
The Evo has done about 87k miles and is still in use, so mileage may increase slightly.
The car has undergone extensive rebuilding to the SST transmission and a full rebuild of the engine using all genuine parts except where aftermarket upgrades made more sense. Also the underside of the vehicle has been stripped back and re sealed and painted along with suspension being refreshed.
Engine
The engine is still running stock internals at stock 330hp refreshed with acl bearings for the crank and rods, ARP crank stud kit, ARP cylinder head stud kit, ARP rod bolts, NPR piston rings, Genuine mitsubishi master seal/gasket set, genuine new stronger timing chain kit with tentioner and guides, MAP performance exhaust manifold, New turbine housing, wrinkle black cam and timing covers along with intake, Mobil 1 5w 30 engine oil
SST Transmission
Full seal rebuild kit including mechatronics rebuild kit, filters, replacement upgraded billet stainless steel mechatronics bore plug, Replacement JacksTransmissions 2/4 shift fork with billet magnet housing, Replacement clutch kit, new transmission speed sensor. Genuine mitsubishi DCT1 transmission oil.
AYC pump relocated to boot - serviced with new fluid and bleed.
All Diff oils replaced
Engine has had 3 oil changes since rebuild and has done about 2000 miles since rebuild.
THe car has been to ireland and to the Neatherlands since rebuild and has not missed a beat. The car pulls really well and the sst is very smooth. There is no faults on the dash.
The engine and SST control units are being programmed at Mitsubishi with the latest software on the 24th of May
both front and rear subframes including fuel tank had been removed to carry out a refresh of the underside of the body and subframes- this was a lot more work than I had antisapated but really worth it.
Suspension
no knockes from suspension and the brembos stop you very quickly.
Stock suspension, front shocks had been shot blasted and repainted, new genuine drop links all around New D-bushes front and rear, Rear camber & toe adjuster bolts(not fitted) Genuine track rod ends

There is some small marks on the paint and on the wheels in places but hardly noticable.
THe interior is in good condition.
Only serious buyers please.
A lot of work, time and money went into this car to get it to the standard it is.
This car is very reliable and very easy to drive in all conditions.
Very stealthy still running the stock silencer.

Se nota que te gusta la mecánica y tienes vocación. Has rejuvenecido a un coche que es una pequeña joya. Voluntarioso, ligero, 4x4 y capaz. Tengo un peque de estos modelo 4x4 GLX del año 2024 y una berlina TDI del año 2002, que tras 250.000 km, funciona como un reloj. Últimamente no uso el Toledo, salvo para los viajes con cuatro personas. El Ignis es divertidísimo de conducir y te lleva a donde otros no llegan. 😅 Saludos desde España. ✌✌
Nice job bro! I left my car at a friend so he can take the trans off, then I will take it for a rebuild. Do I need anything to know regarding to it´s removal? I heard that it has to be removed with the selector in ¨D¨, and I saw that you fixed that big sprocket after on the engine. If there is anything else to be aware of, let me know pls!
Great video.i have 2014 lancer ralliart with dual clutch transmission automatic with paddle shift. My shift for is stuck on 1,2,3,4. I think the magnets might worn out or cames off.

@@kuknissen100 yes it's a common issue with those transmissions. Bearings fail.

Wish the parts didn't cost so much. That's my only grief about the sst..

What was wrong with the car when your bought it
@@jawadarif5676A magnet for the 2/4 shift fork failed and causes the transmission to shutdown the even gear set. Also someone fitted the timing chain incorrectly causing timing issues. Out one tooth on the intake can causing too much valve overlap which resulted in higher egt that over heated the exhaust manifold and turbine housing I did the full rebuild to have peace of mind. After opening up the engine it was still in very good condition.
This is the prefect car for me, engine, gearbox rebuild, underside refurb but shame i still have to wait still a year

What are the pin outs on the new speed sensor? Is it red, yellow then black reading left to right with the plug connected looking from the cable end?
Black in the same place as your old sensor then yellow in the middle and red at the end. Same config as original except blue is the yellow.

Was there a noticeable difference after you installed the MAP manifold?
The car feels more responsive and there is a change to the sound a little but with the stock silencer its not that noticeable.

2012 lancer ralliart … Yo does anyone know the size of the STUDS on the exhaust manifold ?!? There’s 2 different sizes , I believe there’s 10 of one size and 2 of a bigger size … please if anyone knows tell me !!!! It’s pissing me off trying to order the right parts …. I need the OEM sizes :(

I think you would need the complete 4x4 transmission and rear axle etc A lot of parts and modifications required but it's very possible

After doing that rebuild on my swift gearbox , I started experiencing an intermittent clutch judder when cold. I feel the engine shake at the biting point. It does not occur every time , sometimes I feel the clutch pedal a little spongy. What could be the culprit ? Gearbox mounts? Bad flywheel? Thanks!
Sounds like a worn clutch or a failing slave cylinder or both

It was about £750 for the rebuild kit plus the custom bore plug and the modified shift fork
Recommend replacing the speed sensor inside transmission too
Get an Evo X they said, its a fun car they said.....Evo X SST gearbox has other plans for your fun. All that said, your vid does take the fear out of owning a SST Box in a Evo.
Congratulations, well done! I had to take the engine apart on my evo X and your videos helped me. I am a complete novice but with confidence and videos like yours I was able to get the destroyed valve repaired, replace the piston rods, replace all gaskets, and put it all back together. I fitted an e85 flexfuel kit and it now runs better than ever. That feeling of finally starting the car and seeing it run is something few get to experience.

The gearbox oil level won't be right if the car is on a tilt on axle stands.
This valve body is almost the same with the 6DCT450 from FORD and VOLVO DCT transmission
