    The elbow strike is nice but if an opponent side steps you expose the backside of your arm chicken wing to a potential strike or hold.

    Silat is just another form of martial arts. Nothing to brag about. Contemporary Silat is nomore origional. Most of the techniques are copied from other martial arts. As a martial artist myself, I would prefer a combination of Chinese Shaolin n Wing Chun. Virtually all martial arts teach you the vital points. Nevertheless, Speed n Strength counts. Be water my friend.
