I would like to give a shout out to Impulse Music in Santa Clarita, CA for selling me this beauty of a bass!

      @@trevorlindsey580 I know it is a fine bass, but for most people it is a very high end production bass. The price I quoted is the Sweetwater price. The list price is closer to $3,200. At that price level, no visible defects should be a given, in my opinion.

    Is this a short scale? How is the balances of the vintage series 1 Alembics? is it really neck heavy or not? thanks

    • @trevorlindsey580
      @trevorlindsey580 2 місяці тому

      Long scale. Balance is not bad, but Alembic basses in this body style have very long feeling necks, and can be heavy. If you want the best tone, you buy an Alembic. If you want perfect balance, you need to buy a Rogue or Europa version.

    • @barendtromp
      @barendtromp 2 місяці тому

      @@trevorlindsey580 that makes sense. I have an Alembic Spoiler that balances fairly well but I am a bit worried about the serie 1 and 2 basses like yours with the small upper horn. That might slip of your leg pretty easily when seated without using a strap? Hope to get a series 1 one day too.
