Had I have known, this is how the camera performs under certain conditions, I would NOT HAVE PURCHASED IT.

New Barbecue Channel Newsflash Introducing the Barbecue Walk of Flame
I’ve had this unit since 2012. Still works perfectly. Only had to change the gasket in the brew group.
Hi there, it certainly is a brilliant little machine.
Have you experienced mold in the coffee waste behind the brewer? I have this problem from time to time.
Hi there, many thanks for your comment, usually the brewing compartment on my Brera is cleaned out each week, the brewhead is removed and water is run through it, and any excess coffee grinds in the compartment are then brushed out. Recently I was unable to do this, my partner didn't know how to do it, consequently when I was able to clean out the brewing compartment there was mould present. As my machine is almost 9 years old it's important that I keep on top of cleaning.
I love u
Hi John, many thanks for your comment I really do appreciate it.
Not sure why I watched this video but it is very well done!
Hi there, thanks for your comment and watching my video, if you're into food have a look at my barbecue channel, ua-cam.com/users/BarbecueWalkofFlame
Thank you for your follow up video! In your final comment, you mentioned that you would have purchased a larger model. Would you opt for the 4200 or 5200 model?
Hi Martin, just after I'd purchased 3200, I felt that I should have gone for the 4200, however I now understand the only difference between the two is the lid for the bowl, the 4200 has a larger feed tube. This lid is available as a spare, like many things over the years I still haven't got round to purchasing one. Many thanks for your comment, and for watching my video, it is much appreciated.
Thank you foryour video😀
Thank you for your comment, it is much appreciated.
What a wonderful video. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Hello, I have to recognize you for one of the best “how to clean your Gaggia Brera”videos I have ever seen. It was well edited and easy to understand. I’m also glad to know that the weekly process that you follow is the same as the weekly process I follow - cleaning out the grounds from inside, and thoroughly rinsing the brew unit and letting it dry. I have read about people who don’t do that simple weekly maintenance - and their machines become horrible moldy scenes of carnage. Again, thank you for a terrific video. I will look for more by you.
Hi Roland, many thanks for your excellent comment, it's a great little machine but the instructions that come with it could be better, hopefully my video clarifies some of the points. Once again thanks for watching my video and for your comment.
I have this model but i saw that i can add juicer for hard stuff like apples and carrots. Do you know maybe which accessories do i need for that? Only the blades or does it have its own ball?
Hi there, I'm sorry I' unable to answer your question, I think there is a juicer accessory, but din't know if it fits this model.
Brilliant. Thank you.
Glad you liked it!
Wow. You’re the man. Subscribed bcs of your handle. My mother-in-law was called Willy and you even remind me of wonderful her. But, I house sit with a Brera Gaggia. I have descaled it, but it still squeaks, so I think it needs the tlc so accessibly shown by you. I can’t wait to house sit again with this fine piece of equipment. 💛
Hi there, many thanks for the sub, if it's making great cup of coffee just let it squeak. You might like to have a look at my cooking channel The Barbecue Walk of Flame, cheers, and thanks for watching.
Thank you!
You're welcome!
So when you say one of your only regrets is not getting the larger machine, are you talking about the 4200, or the big boy 5200? Thank you for all your hard work here!
Hi there, quite some time has passed since I did the one year review, for most of the time the machine is adequate for just the two of us, however when we do batch cooking and freezing a larger model would be useful. At the time of purchase the price of the machine was an important factor and the 4200 would the one I was referring to, Now a few years on if I could justify the cost I'd go for the 5200. Owing to the lack of work surface space my Magimix has to be stored in a cupboard, and they are very heavy machines to get out and stow away. Many thanks for your comment and for watching my video.
@@WillyFilmit thank you so much, Sir, for your thorough and thoughtful response…. Most appreciated !
Bought a set of these, overall unimpressed. Treated them with utmost care, but they still scratched, coating began to flake off. I got one pan replaced, but when the same thing started happening, I packed them all up and donated to Good Will. Very disappointing, usually Ninja products are great, but not this time. Going back to cast iron pans.
Hi there, many thanks for your comment, my Ninja pan is still ok, I agree you do have to treat them with much care, no metal utensils, never goes in the dishwasher, and do not use spray oil. It is always nice to hear viewers experiences, once again thanks for your comment and for watching my video.
Clear explanation, great work, thanks.
Glad you liked it, thanks for watching.

How hot is the water? Can I make tea with this machine?
Hi Sarah, I've never made tea with the Brera, even though it dispenses hot water for hot drinks. In my book tea is made with boiling water, it does not dispense boiling water. Many thanks for your comment and watching my videos.
Bought one without seeing your review. I totally agree with you. Have just ordered a second. How has yours held up?
Hi there, glad you liked my review, the chair is still as comfy as ever I could do with a bit more sunshine to enjoy and chill in it.
thank you good analysis!, i am using this model to make another one with similar characteristics on sheet metal!

Hi Kathy, glad you liked my video, many thanks for your comment.
Awsome I just bought one and can’t wait to use it. Cheers!

Does it make any humming or clicking noise while plugged in ??

Very good review, thank you
Hi Timothy, many thanks for your comment I really do appreciate it, thanks for watching.
Good review, are the Salt mills the same as Pepper?
Hi David, many thanks for your comment, the salt mill has a different mechanism to the pepper mill, the one I have will only grind rock salt, I think Peugeot do make one for sea salt. I hope this information is useful, thanks for watching my video.
After watching this, I really want one. Amazing review.
Hi there, many thanks for your comment I really do appreciate it.
Thank you for the review
Thank you for your comment, I really do appreciate it.
Got one, not impressed!
Stick with it, a small amount of oil in a pre heated pan makes it very workable. Many thanks for your comment.
Great video, thank you 😊
Hi Alastair, thank you for your comment I really do appreciate it, the Brera is a great little machine.
Excellent video. Every time I go to descale my machine has been complicated for me, but in this video you explain it in a simple and easy to understand way, very grateful.
Hi Eudio, many thanks for your comment glad you found my video useful, the first time I had to descale the machine I got into difficulty, fortunately Gaggia UK are very helpful they talked me through the process. Excellent machine, enjoy the coffee. Cheers.
Can it be use for dry food
Hi there, I have used my Magimix to chop nuts, fresh herbs, and raw mushrooms, all of which it did very well, I have also ground coffee beans, providing you don't want a very fine grind for espresso, it did an ok job. I do hope this answers your question, many thanks for your comment and watching my video.
Thank you for the video. Saludos desde Argentina!
Thank you for your comment I really do appreciate it, glad you found my video useful. Cheers from the UK.
Thank you I have had this machine for 3 months and have tried several times, unsuccessfully, to descale my machine and the decade solution is a bit spendy! The instructions are also difficult to follow my husband was unsuccessful as well! Your vedio was very helpful!
Hi Lori, glad the vid was helpful, the instructions are not too clear, things to remember the tank must be full to max de-scaler and water, and the machine must be in standby when the two brew buttons are pressed. Many thanks for your comment its so nice to hear from my viewers.
No oil cooking isnt healthy. Butter everything FYI
G day, thanks for your comment, oil bear it in mind and butter up.

Just picked on up after years of frustration with cheaply made ones. The Ferrari of pepper mills, runs as smooth as a Swiss watch.
Hi Blaine, you got it, absolutely, thank you for your comment I really do appreciate it.
not seen video yet, but I give you like, just for the idea og making this video.
Hi Marco, thanks for your comment even though you haven't seen the video, I can tell you its my honest opinion of how this machine has performed over many years and continues to do so, the video is well worth a watch, even if I do say so myself.
@@WillyFilmit of course I've watched After! It was very useful, knowing that the machine I probably get, may last up or more than 6 hears is a big win.
@@WillyFilmit at least I get it! great machine
@@marcomoraschi3537 Enjoy great coffee.
Built like a tank.
Hi there, many thanks for watching my video, your comment is spot on I couldn't agree with you more.
Thank you, Willy, for a super informative review! Especially for the demo of the noise level and the kind of motor in this machine. I have a couple of questions, is it possible to make a smoothie from a carrot and celery? Can it substitute a blender to make smoothies from vegetables, such as carrots and celery, for example?
Hi Julie, thank you for your comment, to be honest I've never made a smoothie, they're just not my thing. I do use the Magimix to make soup, however the veg are usually cooked and once blended there is some texture, it would have to go through a fine sieve to get it really smooth, same with iced coffee which I make in the summer, it turns the ice cubes into a thick mush and the drink is just the same as a high street coffee shop. Once again thanks for watching my video.
3y later how are you happy with the magimix? I am planing to buy one. Love the review
Hi there, thank you for your comment it's much appreciated. I'm still pleased with my Magimix it continues to perform well. If it could live on the worktop it would be used much more, however our kitchen is quite small and it has to be stored in a cupboard, there are times when it is quicker to get a knife from the drawer than it is to get the Magimix out and set it up just to slice two carrots, which it would do in seconds. It is a versatile, well made machine, which I do not regret purchasing, I hope this answers your question, thanks for watching my video.
@@WillyFilmit Yes, thank you so much.
I use my dishwasher.otherwise I wouldn’t use it. I would like to see your bread recipe as I found the free cook book not well tested. I
Hi there Irene, many thanks for your comment I do appreciate it, regarding the cook book I have to agree, some things have turned out well, and others not so well. When it comes to dough, I've made pizza to test a Jamie Oliver kit, and my favourite is Focaccia Bread, there is a video on my BBQ channel, ua-cam.com/video/jzGYKxNmwGs/v-deo.html this was filmed before I had the Magimix when I was using a very old Kenwood mixer. I have since made it with the Magimix and it comes out equally as good. Once again thanks for the comment.
I would not recommend this machine. I had the older generation of this and it operated flawlessly. Gaggia needs to update the firmware on the grinder sensor as this is a know problem. There are magnets and a sensor located in the grinder which monitors the RPM’s. When you run out of beans, you hear the grinder speed up and get the warning to fill the beans, if it slow down ever so slightly, it will reject the coffee puck and will not brew. I done everything that they recommend including recalibrated the grinder, cleaning it, changing grind settings, having the coffee maker relearn the algorithm by brewing over 25 cups of coffee, using the recommended beans, and the problem still exist in which 30% of the time it will reject the coffee grinds which is wasteful. The solutions provided by the coffee shop that I bought it from and the manufacturer are not fixing the issues. I have three other friends with the same maker after I recommended it (when I owned the previous generation) experiencing the same issues. Thanks for the review
Hi William, thank you for your very interesting comment, I'm amazed that my machine is still making a great cup of coffee after all these years, however I have noticed recently that the dump box full light is coming on when there's only two pucks in there. Maybe its time to start thinking about a replacement, however whilst it's still working I'll just keep thinking. Once again many thanks for your comment, it's nice to know of the experiences of others with the same machine. Cheers.
I wish you luck. I do miss my older model, I was unaware of the issues with the newer model. When it works it does make a good cup of coffee. My old machine lasted many years as I replaced all the gaskets and brew group without any issues. The rejected puck still happens but I can usually tell by listening to the gringer. It didn’t matter what coffee beans I used or was recommended. Thanks for your response and best to you
Why does he call it a homer? Ita a forge hammer
Hi Nigel, he calls it a forge omma because he's speaking in his native Black Country dialect, in this area many words are pronounced differently, its all part of a rich heritage which many of us are proud to retain. If you would like to know more this website gives a good explanation dialectandheritage.org.uk. You may not be aware that the word you, is pronounced yo in the Black Country, so you have viewed my video on YoTube, and one of the devices used is an Opple. Many thanks for your excellent comment.
