Hi Michael, thank you for your comment I really do appreciate it, did a lot of re-search before I purchased these, cheaper mills gave up after a couple of years.
İ cant tell how i was surprised to see such professionally made review. I do admire your work here, despite of red nose, this is one of the detailed and clearly explained review of equipment i have seen. Cheers..
Thanks for your comment glad you liked the vid, as for the nose, it comes with old age. If you are into food, have a look at my cooking channel The Barbecue Walk of Flame, there's some great recipes which can also be cooked in the kitchen.
An absoulte pleasure to watch! :) Couldn't decide if I should by them or not because I couldn't tell how to tell them apart. But you have enlighten me and I like this minimalistic idea of black and white on top. Also thank you very much for this review. Best wishes from Germany!
A very interesting review Willy. I like the fact the these mills are adjustable. I bought my current salt and pepper mills set 4 years ago made of oak with ceramic grinding mechanism, which is okay but not as good as a mill with anit corrosive coated steel because salt itself is very corrosive. Whenever my mills stop functioning I will definitely consider buying this Perugot Paris set.
Hi Kevin, many thanks for your comment, having had the mills for some time now they continue to perform without any problems, I don't use the adjustable function as much as I thought I would. Over time the small black emblem on top of the pepper mill knob has worn off however the white one on the salt is still as visible as it was when new, salt and pepper can still be identified without having to grind. Cheers W.
Hi! Fantastic video. I would use the Gravy boat for the refilling.. There are plenty designs that are good for that and Gravy boat always needed.. for 1000 island and more :)
Hi there, thank you for your comment I do appreciate it, sadly I have no experience of the Le Creseut pepper mill, their cast iron pans are brilliant but very heavy, sorry I can't help you on this occasion, thanks for watching.
Hi David, many thanks for your comment, the salt mill has a different mechanism to the pepper mill, the one I have will only grind rock salt, I think Peugeot do make one for sea salt. I hope this information is useful, thanks for watching my video.
Picked up a used one from Freecycle, last year! ... hadnt heard of Peugeot(other than the cars..lol) but knew this peppermill worked amazingly... i ended up giving to a friend then realised how expensive they are.lol
Before they made cars (200 years before) they made these. And in 200 years they worked out how to make the best mills possible. If you buy one of these and read the manual and use, store and care for it correctly, it will probably last more than 200 years.
Hi Martin, many thanks for your comment, I didn't buy direct from Peugeot, I got them online can't remember where from was not Amazon, I'm still happy with them.
I ordered a a chocolate 12 inch one but it didn’t come with a gift box! This a gift for my son! How can I get a box! It is a beautiful mill! I would love a box , how do I get one! I should have got a pair! How to do that!
My salt mill doesn’t work-chunks just fall out no matter the setting. Is it broken/defective? The pepper mill works just fine. Anyone else have this problem?
Yeh I’ve had a couple of sets and the salt mills don’t seem to work properly at all whereas the pepper mills are perfect. I think you need a specific type salt for the salt mills that’s the problem. This guy in the video says you should use rock salt because it’s dry. I didn’t know that. I always use sea salt and maybe that’s why the my salt grinders don’t seem to work very well. I’m going to get some rock salt for it and see if that works. The problem is I think sea salt is much healthier than any other salt.
Hi Elaine, John, I do think using sea salt could be the problem, my instructions do say to use rock salt only, did you know Peugeot, do make a mill for sea salt, and also sell small pots of exotic sea salt.
Hello, greetings from Spain Congratulations and thank you very much for the review, without a doubt the best review of these grinders on UA-cam, it helps a lot because it shows them up close, the mechanisms, and explains everything well, thank you very much 🙂👍. Please excuse me if it already says so in the video, but I don't understand English very well, do you recommend these grinders? My intention would be to buy the 30 cm size, to serve also as decoration in my kitchen, is it worth the price difference with other brands? How are the grinding mechanisms, do they look strong and durable? Thank you very much again, and greetings from Spain 👍
Hi Jose, thank you for your lovely comment, I'm glad you enjoyed my video and hope you found it informative. In my videos I do not make recommendations, after all who am I to recommend a product for you to spend your hard earned cash on. I'm just an ordinary user giving my first impression of a product that I have purchased, in the hope that you can make an informed choice. My salt and pepper mills do not have a decorative place in my kitchen, they are tucked away until required, for me it was worth paying more money for adjustable grind mechanisms, and I feel, (although I may be wrong) that metal is a better material for grinding than plastic. Since making the video the Peugeot mills continue to perform well, they have a nice feel to them when in use, and in my view are a well made product. You can see me using them in my latest video on my cooking channel The Barbecue Walk of Flame. I do hope I've answered your questions, and once again thank you for your comment.
@@WillyFilmit Hi Willy, thank you very much for your reply. It is very noticeable when someone makes a real review of a product purchased with their own money like you, because you make a very good and objective review, and not like the youtubers nowadays who make reviews paid by companies and do not show anything of the product, congratulations, I encourage you to continue doing things this way 👍👍👍. Well you have convinced me and helped me, I'm going to order these grinders in size 30 cm, as I like how they look in a slightly larger size, as I have them in view of everyone, and I like that apart from working well, they look nice, my stuff 😂😂 One question Willy please, when grinding, do the grinders make a squeaking noise or something like that? I had one that I stopped using because it made a very annoying noise when grinding, a squeak like rusty, like old doors, I hope you understand me, and it bothered me a lot, so I plan to invest a little more money to improve the quality. Yes, I have seen your cooking channel, I am liking it a lot, I have seen several videos and they are very entertaining, keep it up, you have gained a subscriber on both channels 👍👍👍 Thank you very much again, and have a nice day 👍👍👍
Hi Jose, no squeaks as yet, in my next video on the Walk of Flame the pepper mill is very close to the microphone which may give you some idea of the sound it makes. Kind regards WF
So much care put into that Little Review. Made me feel like I was watching an old britsh tv classic from the 90s. Absolutely loved it. So relaxing :)
Many thanks for your comment, so glad you enjoyed my video, this old guy is pleased to know I may be getting the hang of it.
This is the type of UA-cam content I love to watch. Thank you very much!
Thank you for your comment it is much appreciated, keep watching there's more to come.
Finally a review buy someone who actually knows what they are talking about! 😊

This was such a great, informative review! Learned so much more than expected and it was presented in such an engaging way. Thank you!
Hi Steven, thank you for your comment glad you liked my video.
Just ordered mine and I cannot wait! I'm so sick of the horrible China made plastic mills. This time I'm going for quality!
Thank you for your comment, I think you'll feel the quality, I'm very happy with mine.
After watching this, I really want one. Amazing review.

Hi Evan, thank you for your comment it is much appreciated.
Thank you very much for the information. Do you know and also like the Le Creseut pepper grinder? Which do you prefer?

Good review, are the Salt mills the same as Pepper?
Hi David, many thanks for your comment, the salt mill has a different mechanism to the pepper mill, the one I have will only grind rock salt, I think Peugeot do make one for sea salt. I hope this information is useful, thanks for watching my video.

Just picked on up after years of frustration with cheaply made ones. The Ferrari of pepper mills, runs as smooth as a Swiss watch.
Hi Blaine, you got it, absolutely, thank you for your comment I really do appreciate it.
Lovely review, thanks a lot!
Glad you liked it! thanks for watching
Thank you for the great video now I’m definitely purchasing it 🙏🏻♥️
Hi there, glad you liked my video and hope you're as happy as I am with your purchase.
Nice video, thank you. Did you buy your mills directly from Peugeot? If so, were you charged VAT/import duty? Thanks

Hi Teresa, I'm afraid I can't help you, I purchased my mills as a set which came boxed, I really do not know where you could obtain a box from.
