I wish a replacement dash could be made instead of those stupid overlays.
@@Titian92 I know it. This one actually cracked really bad this summer. These trucks are just getting old and no matter how good of a part you may find to put on they are bound to break or crack soon. At least I had a nice dash in it for a little bit.
@@CruzTube I have 3 of these trucks and 1 has a cracked dash. I just don't understand why a complete replacement isn't made.
that door to fron tof box is just badass convenient
@@CrimsonRayne yes it’s extremely convenient. Some loads I can still access it while loaded. Some loads not so much.
Yeah i could never survive off this
@@carloshurtado8672 sure you can. I just eat like this during the week while I’m on the road. Because I cannot survive on truck stop food and fast food.
I start out with the trailer brakes locked, then about half way I switch an lock tractor and release trailer
@@shawnjarman9860 I’ve seen some guys do that. Considered trying it.
Good video but dont forget the clutch, leaf springs and Fifth wheel points.... you got everything else.
@@BronsenGray thanks! Yea this was when I first became an owner operator so I wasn’t aware of the other locations.
How Are you doing
@@KelliMorgan-y2b I’m doing great. How bout yourself?
@@CruzTube I'm doing wonderful
One thing folks need to do differently. Never unlock your tailgate then walk behind it, tailgate is always last if you have a manual tarp. Safety third I always say.
Great video sorry to hear that someone didn’t read that Hopper trailer should’ve been set on that load instead of a dump trailer

Hi bro. How are you? Is everything ok?
@@KisGurulo hey hey, I’m ok bro. Thanks for asking. Haven’t really had the urge to record any videos. Finally met all the criteria to be monetised but they denied my application. I couldn’t figure out why and there’s no one to contact regarding the matter so I sort of gave up. Who knows I may make a video eventually. Just lost motivation tbh
@@CruzTube Good to hear from you. Keep trucking. Don't give up. Your videos are good bro.
@@KisGurulo thank you I appreciate the words of encouragement. Maybe I’ll give it another shot and see if I can get it monetised again
Dang 78/79... Your truck working hard... Im scared to run my truck that heavy 😂 constantly but (I'm thinking about joining) ... What's your avg miles n area do you run if u don't mind me asking? Is it forced dispatch? How does home time work? How long do they want you on the road?
@@LYFEONTHAROAD yea we stay heavy in this line of business. Miles are down right now, and I haven’t bothered keeping up with the weekly average although weekly I’m still bringing home just shy of 4k. I leave out Monday and I’m home every Friday. It’s not force dispatch but I try not to turn down loads I don’t like just to stay on dispatchers good side. As long as I get home Friday I’m okay with everything else. If you do apply could you put my name down as a reference and truck #10343 it would help me with a possible bonus.
Are you still trucking at Oakley brother?
@@rittertrucking yes I am. My apologies for the lack of content. I finally reached my milestone to be monetized but for some reason google Adsense denied my approval I could not figure out for the life of me why. And youtube and google have no way to contact about that matter. So I was like I’m not going to continue making content that they run ads on my videos and not get paid for it.
What do you haul in that thing?
@@Semi_Professional. all sorts of bulk materials. Scrap metal, trash, sand, salt, grains, roofing granules, the list goes on and on.
What a terrible system. Who thought it would be a good idea to tip the whole trailer, including the wheels??

How much yall usually gross monthly?
@@jonathanheslar1974 between 15-20k a month.
Helpful tips. My husband is courier driver who doesn't get lunch breaks. No microwave or fridge so these tips do help.
@@jennifer5416 glad I could help. Lately I’ve just been eating a small watermelon a day and that’s it. Also been doing at least a 24 hour fast at least once a week.
I used to stop by a lot and I usually never seen it that dirty they must've had a a bad day or something. The restaurant is good, not great but it beats corporate food chains.
@@bobbygmack yea I’ve heard that from a few people. Unfortunately haven’t been back since. But I agree with you on the corporate food chain comment.
That's a nice looking truck
@@TaylorHaubrich I appreciate it!
@@CruzTube I found your video because lone mountain has these trucks right now for $3,600 down, $1,150 a month for 40 months. They're all around 400 to 440k miles and come with a 2 year factory warranty covering unlimited miles on engine and the aftertreatment system. I'm thinking about getting one.

How about a video on greasing the dump trailer
@@CapAwe1 yea I can do that. I actually just had it done so I won’t be due for another greasing for a couple weeks.
Hi CruzTube! I'm a big fan of your trucking content! I've been working on a tool for OPs and carriers that simplifies expense management and financial analysis. I'd love to show it to you and discuss the possibility of working together. Thanks and continue the great work!
Do you need a heavy-duty truck or can an over the road truck do the job?
@@bassstudent4life an over the road truck will do the job just fine!
@@CruzTube I apreciate it. Got an old FL classic, I'm just going to look for a trailer then.
@@bassstudent4life yea that should do the job just fine. Only thing to really take into consideration is the truck weight. Typically the more you haul the more you make. Do you know how much your truck weighs? My truck is 19k lbs and some change. That’s with my wet kit installed.
@@CruzTube Mine's in the 20s for sure. The Classic XL is a heavy truck plus I got a 50-gallon hydraulic tank on there. I'm going to focus on getting hourly work if that's possible. Trailers are expensive so I might have to rent one at first.
Can’t see clearly
Hi Bro. I hope everything is fine. Where are you? Have a nice day!🤙🏻
@@KisGurulo hello! Thanks for checking bro. I’m good, I just chilled out on UA-cam because they won’t monotize me. I finally met all the criteria to start getting paid on here and they won’t accept it and it won’t say why. So I kind of gave up on making video
@@CruzTube I'm sorry you're giving up the video..I love your videos. I'll wait for you back.🤙🏻 Keep Trucking🤙🏻
Out of curiosity, how do you open the trailer up if it’s loaded full and the product is up against the gate of the trailer without it falling all over top of you?
@@nickbrooks705 good question. So in this case make sure you are backed up to where you want to dump and have enough room to swing the gate. Basically unlatch everything and it will start to swing itself open. Just make sure you are standing off to the side and give it a second. Some stuff will fall out and once it settles than open the rest of the way and latch open your tailgate. It’s not going to be a continuous fall. Just the really high stuff and the very end. Also if you back up and don’t have enough to swing you can either swing gate it from the bottom (depending on the type of product, don’t recommend with an extremely heavy product) or you can open it where you do have enough room to open your tailgate and than just have to back up over it to where you need to go. Hope all this makes sense.
Nice unload
Smooth operation
@@danilojones7193 thank you!
The electric company should install markers on the power line, that would help. Thanks for the ride!
You would think they would being such a big safety oriented place.
Beautiful quarry. Stay safe buddy
Agreed! Thank you
How do you unload hot asphalt into a paver? I’m nervous lmao
The operator will more than likely tell you when to go up and what not. I’ve never unloaded asphalt. From what I heard before you get loaded some guys put something on their trailer to make it slide out and not stick. I’ve also heard that is the improper way for asphalt. Wish I could help you on that one. Just remember when going up, if you aren’t level and leaning go ahead and set it on down even if that operator is telling you to keep going up. He could care less if you tip your truck on its side.
@@CruzTubedone use diesel inside the trailer so the asphalt can come out smoothly and not get stuff, that’s a forbidden method that’s been going on for years hauling that
Thanks, I'm new to the game and I just bought my first end dump trailer.
Good luck! Be careful. If you have any questions or unsure about anything just ask. I’ll answer the best I can through here to help you
Nice video. Didn’t see 3 points of contact exiting the truck lol.
Haha. True. Something I have noticed I make sure I exit with 3 points now that my age is catching up to me. Good constructive criticism!
Any tips for a rookie? I have a year and a half driving dry vans but I feel like driving dump trucks is another ball game I start in two weeks so I’m nervous
It def is another ball game. The driving part is no biggie. On the unloading is where it counts. Def take your time, if you don’t feel right about a spot to unload it’s probably cause something isn’t right. Staying level is the main thing and keeping your truck and trailer straight with enough room to pull forward and still be able to set yourself down. Don’t get rushed by other trucks waiting for you to unload and don’t let them idiots unload directly next to you. One at a time! Those are just a few. I’d say it took me a solid 6 months till I got completely comfortable. And still 2 years later it’s nerve racking every time I stand one up. Good luck to you. Any questions as you go don’t hesitate to ask.
New sub here, great video! Thanks for coming to Super Rigs!
