Thank you very much for this informative video . I watched the film Operation Daybreak several times and this tour reveals the real truth of the story . I am shocked by the number of innocent people killed in reprisal afterwards , This reprisal and countless others , clearly demonstrates the evilness of the nazi regime . My wife and I were in Prague 20 years ago and did not relate the city to this horrific piece of history . Thank you for upload and all people of the free world should remember the men who died to give us our freedom .

To talk about the bravery of the two of the resistance is just absurd. Never mind that the first who's gun jammed ran away and then the actions of the second and the overall fallout of their actions virtually wiped out two villages full of people that had absolutely no say in whether they tried to pull off the assassination or not. Also what those two did had unequivocally no influence on how the war that continued long after would end, and why would it. Whoever decided to try to pull this off targeted someone that had no value as far as stopping the war or the atrocities that were unfolding as the war progressed... Calling them heros to me is just ridiculous. It was poorly planned and should have not even been attempted. All it did was get many massacred due to retribution. There is no way at that time they didn't know there would be a massive retribution afterward whether Heydrich died immediately or later.. It was ignorant, unnecessary and caused much more damage to those who lived there at the time that suffered a horrible fate due to their actions. Killing Heydrich would accomplish what?? It accomplished nothing but more bloodshed in a horrible way to the innocent people that had no say and no clue at that time. .. As a born and raised American, it would be the same as some rogue group launching nukes at Russia. Yes its an extreme example but to those living in those villages at that time, it might as well be the same. The outcome would be complete death and destruction in which NO ONE WINS!!! Anthropoid was a catastrophic failure from its inception and should have never been carried out.. It did not, nor would it ever have changed the course of the war and its eventual outcome..

I am pleased to see that this covers both pogroms with religious persecution side by side with royalty doing what they could do to protect the Jews (which was handy since the Jews collected high taxes, paid high taxes and formed a banking system to loan money to the royalty. Also to find out about the yellow markers Jews had to wear and the existence of the Ghetto. My maternal grandparents lived in the Ghetto of Prague after fleeing Ukraine because of pogroms.

What a wonderful tour of the Jewish quarter. I was blessed to have been in Praha earlier this summer and toured the synagogues. I have great pictures of the insides of many of them. I wish I had taken pictures of the outside. The beauty of the external architecture is phenomenal. Again, thank you for a great tour.

There was no “Lord Reichsprotektor” in the Protektorate. Heydrich was only “Deputy Reichsprotektor”, meaning he had all the power but von Neurath was still the Reichsprotektor of the Protektorate in name only. And Heydrich’s true cause of death has been a topic of discussion since 1942. In the autopsy report written by Dr Hamprel in 1942, he stated that Heydrich died from “septic organ failure”, but he corrected this in both 1970 and 1972 to “anemic shock”. However, other medical reports suggest pneumonia, pulmonary embolism and brain anoxia.
