fckin right it is... I have loved my ridgid tools, other than a year or 2 ago they got rid of the octane battery, they came out with a junk version to replace it. The reason being ridgid and milwalkee are made in the same factor (tti industries) The ridgid 1/2 in impact put out the same power as the milwalkees with the octane battery... but the ridgid cost 100 dollars less at the time for the impact. I'm sure the people at tti saw it as loosing money, so they came out with this junk battery and discontinued the octane batteries. There is a big difference between the 2.
