Hi Richard, I have trouble to read a 2013 Dash with NEC+24C64 (colour TFT Display). I have a working key, the instrument goes black and hangs there for hours. I need to make a power cycle and the instrument comes back. I use VVDI2 with the latest SW Version. Autel IM508 fails too on this instrument. Any idea? BR Matthias
Bro can I use a Autel universal smart key or aftermarket key or does it need to be a dealer key?
It won’t fit in the slot
So use a aftermarket key designed for the vehicle? And can the autel handle programming the bmw without making the car a brick?

Good job on the update! Have you tried ecu reading function? More to the point acdelco e-series example e78, e39a ect.
@@aleksa52 to be honest, I’ve never tried multiprog on many ECU‘s. I barely even use it to read ISN. I just thought it was a cool tool to have since it was new. I primarily use ACDP and IO Terminal and usually anything liking in between i’ll use Flex. but I’ll try to give it a go again. I’ve just been upset with this tool since there was a lot of promise that has yet to be delivered.

Multiprog would be the best choice at the moment since it does Multiple Things

@rikopli You're welcome! I've been disappointed with this tool and I haven't touched it ever since, until you told me that the Update fix the issue. V1.2 Works as of right now V1.3 Still Fails for me atleast with the Multiprog

@@AutoMasterKey To be absolutely honest, I would prefer to use ACDP. Their primary focuses are very simple. You rarely need to update anythingbAnd when They say it works, it works.
@@AutoLockSector At times ACDP does fail to get me an ISN from F Series BMW’s so I have been looking for an alternative. I have a buddy that says the UHS Keyless Factory Autel Adapters have never failed him but the VVDI solder free’s are significantly cheaper lol

It would be interesting to see if he could do this all on bench with prox instead of a keyed ignition? I use the same tools but must learn the prox type via OBD in car. Also I use the "make key with immo data" instead of "make dealer key"...not sure the difference?
@jackgates6949 Unfortunately for prox systems, the key needs to be learned through the OBD because the kessy needs to see the new key To program the keyless go access.

Excellent video. Question, is it possible to delete keys or re-write to a used slot if all are used? I realize all available keys need to be reintroduced when adding so can the truly lost/stolen key slot be reused?
@@stevematzke1428 a used position cannot be used again unless all keys are deleted and re-introduced

@@stevematzke1428 You have to learn the keys, the traditional way with pin code login and introducing each key individually on the coil. not by VVDI2 Direct method
@@AutoLockSector customer has 2011 Jetta AKL, 7 slots used. Wants 2 new. Make last remaining slot directly and use CS and PIN through OBD to delete all and re-introduce this new and one add? Not Kessy.
@@AutoLockSector with vvdi2, on bench, was able to create dealer key with super chip (in this case for testing) and when adding chose option 3 and program with saved immo file. All keys deleted (all FFFFFFFF) but the one I introduced. Used Abrites NEC coil and switch. Thank you for the video. But yes, you can delete all and program new directly.

Has anyone gotten this boot mode method to work with the key tool+? Once the cluster is in boot mode, reading EEPROM or immobilizer data won’t work. The service mode method works on the key tool, but it’s extremely annoying.

The ABS code should be backed up before the cluster is removed. ABS coding is completely lost. You’ll need ODIS to restore.

I have a new used cluster for a 2012 Passat. I learned keys to it, but after I swapped the cluster I get service immo popping up and no starting???
you need to transfer the original data to the cluster before programming keys. The CS code from the engine needs to be in that cluster and than you prepare a dealer key with the original information

Is your DB version v49 or 4.9 as i'm only on V20 ?? Also My Multiprog seems to have an issue with the MCU Adapter, it will not even identify CAS3+ chip, I have opened up the adapter and it seems to be wired incorrecty, the CLOCK cable GND is not even connected to GND. if I use the Multifunction adapter I can sometimes get it to read using the old 25 pin MCU reflash cable.

But you can also read the hash via IR. It also works with the PIN at the back, which you can then read with IR.
HC MCU yes that'll work thru IR. This wasn't that. This w230 was ST12. I tried the IR Password Method and it failed
