@@SeekandDetect - I am giving it a serious look - The multi-frequency IQ tech is something I like and is something I have on my 540 and Equinox 600 - I also have a lot of older minelab tech with BBS and FBS tech and it really does the job nicely so yes, thanks for making me aware of this nicer Xterra option ;>) I had not seen that model!

Yeah, I hunted Pismo once in a while, and I don’t seem to have much luck there. I probably have two or three other videos. I’ve done there. I run beach one - two, dry or wet. Nothing fancy in the settings, nearly default. All metal on, sensitivity in the low 20s.

@@OLdweeb I have speaker on a shortcut button, now I just have to remember to use it. Oh, and make sure I keep my macro lens in or out of focus, and oh yeah metal detect too.🤣🤣

They have both regular 1-piece and 2-piece "travel" handles. I have both. Same price.

@@AndyisEpic exactly, i'm usually a couple weeks behind on editing.

The best thing to do is take some sample targets and see what they do with your machine. Coins are usually nickel-27 penny-62 dime-78 and quarter-88. It can vary depends on orientation, depth, soil. Gold tends to be lower and silver tender to be higher #'s, again all depends on size and shape. Watch any video with an Xterra or Equinox 700 or 900. Virtutally the same numbers. Good luck out there!

I found enough stuff to pay for all my equipment many times over. Just this year enough coins to buy another detector. It's fun, challenging and good exercise. I love being on the beach :)

i have 2 different CKG scoops. The 9X6 is a little smaller and lighter but works well. I"m using carbon handles too, very light.

I don't always put up a video that's just been shot. When I got the manticore i edited and released it the next day. I mention the sale price and I wanted to make sure people knew before it was over. I'm pretty sure it'll be mostly Manticore videos from now on. I'll still rotate through different machines occasionally as well☺

I've only been out a handful of times with it and I can tell you it's is significantly different. There are more ways to configure the machine. The tones are very customizable. I'm still trying to determine what i like best for sound. Instead of just normal iron bias and discrimination settings, the manticore has more ways to tweak how it reacts to ferrous targets. Once you're over a target, having the 2D screen gives you that much more information before you dig. I'm still at the point where I try to dig everything. Like I said I'm still new to it, but as I build experience and trust I will spend less time digging trash.
