Well I did say at the beginning I don't play Tau at all, and this is basically my first game, plus my opponent is extremely new to 40k and was also running an inefficient list, so the outcome was pretty good for what we were looking for 😁

But if they did get them, that would mean slaanesh and tzeentch would come down... Would you rather it all stay exactly the same?! Id like to see some changes...

He absolutely does! But if GW will only reduce the points on other units because the good ones go up, it's a necessary evil... Sorry skulltaker! I love him to bits as well but I want to play with my LoC and actually have him be worth 285 points, not like 85....

Agreed on all fronts! I knew about the gun drones but against 2+ armour monsters I just didn't bother shooting them. Didn't know about the fusion tho! That's a bit annoying... Definitely need more guiding units ha!

Does that still take effect if you have already failed a test though? I thought once you have failed you have failed. No more tests can be taken?

@@BarnyardWargamingOfficial once you have failed you can’t un battle-shock but you can keep taking multiple tests.

Honestly I really like them! They have been super annoying for some armies to get rid of and they're a great screen! I normally get them to hold a point in mid board basically all game long! Great little source of OC! I wish they were like 85 points instead of 125.... But hey! They're useable. I should also probably try out the thirster a lot more, but when I ran him I just found him dying so easily. Like he one shots what he hits sometimes and then dies... So idk. Maybe I need to give him a second chance!

you keep forgetting the BS test the opponent needs to roll when below starting strength, and use pterorshade to get wound back on knight when they fail

Jmth I can't win! Which dice do I give to my opponent?! No matter which colour it is they all roll badly!

@@BarnyardWargamingOfficial Dont think it matters, I roll different dice and get the same result lol. So I switched to units with tons of dice to roll, volume helps! A tank with 3 shots, I miss everytime. A unit of Bloodletters with Skarbrand near! I hit enough lol

I just find that people pass the shock test and one shot him! Or grenade him... Or tank shock him 😞

@@BarnyardWargamingOfficial keep some blue horrors with him to screen and give them minus 1 to that battle shock test, keep him in the shadow to double up on that. I used him as my warlord last game that I played. Last turn picked him up and dropped him in the opponents back field objective. He fired overwatch, then failed the battle shock test and the changeling scored me a cool 20 points. Earlier in that same game he turned off a knights shooting once it got in lone opp range. He charged into my plague bearers and my Changling but had no CP for tank shock, then failed the battle shock test, took D3 wounds because of the shadow of chaos and had to fight the plague bearers instead. During my turn he fell back to safety while the plague bearers had the knight tied up. If nothing else he brings an element of chaotic fun to my games. The best was when he killed 3 custodes by himself because they kept failing the battleshock tests in the shadow

Sounds like I am just not using him correctly then! I guess I don't think about his placement enough and eventually he just dies. In most of my games someone goes... Yea I guess it doesn't matter if my unit is battleshocked, let's give it a go! Then they roll like a 12 for shock test and one shot poor changeling. Plus at the moment I verse a lot of tsons, who can not only just doom bolt him off the table, but also whenever you shoot them with the changeling they just spend a cp for a 4+ fnp 😞

It's a super poorly written card, but I don't think you can do it turn one. Or maybe you can if you're playing tactically? I think from memory it says you score points if it is achieved in turn 2. But it's still possible to have it turn 1?? Very annoying.

@@BarnyardWargamingOfficial you are correct it says that you may shuffle it back if its the first round, but scoring is only from turn 2 and forward. As you said odd wording.
