Is Madagascar have direct connection to the lost Cuddha civilization of Sundaland?
Video about Asia: Video talks about EA and SEA mostly with only hints of India slap on. sigh
Khmer script 🇰🇭
FYI, The colonial period allowed for only black people to serve as slaves.. So the so called Asian of the Philippines that were enslaved were the Negritos of the Philippines, and not the Malay/ Chinese looking Filipinos... A lot of Filipinos think or want to call themselves Asian Latinos but they arent.... The spanish never taught them spanish, and the spanish for some reason or another didn't mix with their population the way they did in the Americas..America's... In Africa, the country of Equitorial Guinea, was colonized by the spanish. In Equitorial Guinea the people speak Spanish, not only do they speak Spanish but they speak the proper Queens spanish.... In the Philippines they speak a word or two, and cannot carry out a conversation in spanish.. They remi d me of parrots. They say a hundred Filipino words, throw in one spanish word, and call themselves Latino because of that... Again.. Only the black population of the Philippines aka the Negrito could legally serve as slaves... Sorry but again you guys are Asian... Accept it...
Brilliant video. I hope Hinduism continues to exist and even propagate in Bali and the rest of Indonesia.
Interestingly there’s the same tattooing culture in the Philippines but instead of Buddhist tattoos, they’re Christian tattoos called anting anting or agimat. Very similar cultural customs, such as rules of abstinence of human pleasure, like sex, food restrictions, and violence. While there is a tattooing traditions, the most common are amulets. Other forms are symbols on cloth, clothing, and certain plants and stones.
Lopburi was originally Mon people before the Khmer from ANGKOR Empire took over Lopburi
Lanna = 1000 rice field..Xee Xon Bana in South Yun Nan = 12000 rice Fields.. the Dali Kingdom of southern YUN NAN was an Independent Kingdom which was separate from the South Dong Chinese dynasty.... Mon history County thanks for video 🎉❤
I am a true Mon person
The White European came to north America and kill off the native population. And now some White people dress up as native and like the native way of living and soon claim it is their history, culture and language...ect. The same as Siam people of today are saying and claiming. Siam are now claiming Tai, Khmer, Khom, Davariti...ect. It is like a thieve steal someone's property and then try to miss information to others not to let others know the real owner of the stolen property.
got some monkey warriors aye
wow this was so informative! I was expecting to hear about Romani people. Did you know about the Roma (Calé) men being enslaved in the galleon galleys? Devastating that Spain did so much harm in a short time. I now know so much more about our shared history. Catarina de San Juan! wow! amazing! she must be honored along with all others and their descendants.
Thanks to Native Americans
My mom is from Peru. The amount of ingredients shared between Asian and Latino cultures heightens Peruvian cuisine IMO
Loots of madegascar languange similar to javanese languange
Thank you for posting the lectures, including this one. If I may note, however, your pronunciation of "Golden Island" ("Chryse") and "Chresonesos" in Greek is completely incorrect.
Also, there is no such thing as "Austrian" language! German is spoken in Austria. So the term was German, not "Viennese" (Vienna is the capital of Austria)
History of Thailand and Myanmar are intertwined, wars were inevitable. Language was not a barrier, minor variances but communicable. Native tongue calls the cities Jiang Mai, Jiang Hai, Jiang San (Xieng or Jiang), Buddhism and Hinduism play major roles. The four rivers: Ping, Wang Yom and Nan still present, thus Chao Praya River.
Great Video!
as the story goes = your baselines led to - women being, your only friends. the tag-line punch-line = your friends are vagina = you vagina = your friends women = you woman
and your king = maai goorb
Aka when they kicked out all the black people 😂😂 "by the 1500s" Spain when black people wake up yall got heaven to pay😂
This is such an interesting part of History that I am just learning about! Thank you so much for making this video. I am from Mexico and in some parts we use the word "Parián" to refer to a market where we can get arts and crafts, maybe it is a remanent from the Manila trade times!
00:50 the Manila Galleon trade! Always learning something I was on purpose not taught. What was the caste system called?
What was the world's food like before the new world food was introduced like potato's tomatoes and peppers
These whitoids have been claiming they have abolished slavery in the Philippines, but it's turning out they were involved in the slave trade. PWEEHHH!
Finally new Asian history!
Actually there were more than enough workers in "New Spain" IE the Viceroyalty, Spain had passed laws making it illegal to enslave people born in the Viceroyalty as it was a province of the empire which differed from the colonial status of PH... not to mention the heavy mixing of the populations through religion, family, etc...
Wow I had no idea that "chino" came from slavery... even today in Mexico they call Asian people chino. There are some Mexicans who look Asian and they are nicknamed as "chino" as well even though they are Mexican.
Hey I really enjoy your videos, as I was exploring the countries you usually cover over the course of the last year. I was wondering what your relations / inspiration is to talk about South East Asia particularly. Have you visited the countries and got interested in the culture so now you try to educate others about the history? Love from Germany
Some people say that the Siamese or Thai people are not Mon and are not the owners of this (12th)region. But the results of DNA evidence indicate that the Thai people have Mon ancestry mixed in and match the population of the (12th)region. But the current Cambodians have DNA that matches the people on the island of Java, which is not connected to this (12th)region at all. And try to claim that the Thai people moved from Yunnan and then robbed everything from the Khmer people. How ridiculous.
What DNA research was it? Share to give sources?
The Land of Ophir🤫
Madagascar should just join ASEAN, we will make it prosperous, have even infrastructure and education, we will help Madagascar to be more prosperous, safe and prosperous, GBU

Dvaratati is the kingdom of Mon not Siamese or Thai today.
Angkorian empire was the kingdom of Khmer, not Cambodian, today 😅
I don't understand. Why banned asian enslavement , but allowed afran enslavement?
koreans eat the most chillies per capita. almost every soup, sidedish and maindish has abundant red chilis in it. you eat a whole hot green chili and a whole raw garlic at a barbecue
best video ☘🍀
The language and prayers in "Sak-Yant tattoo" are the patterns on the skin in the Khom-Thai language, which is read as Pali-Sanskrit, not Khmer/Cambodian.
Can you read this? កខគឃង ឥឲឪឮឰ ១២៣៤៥៦៧៨៩ it's literally Khmer and Cambodian the language that we use to speak, write and read every single day we literally learned this in kindergarten. A baby could read this while 50 year old Thai people can't.
@@hellenjulie9915 Many Thai monks can read it, if taught lmfao. Jus because you still use ancient Khom scripts, that Thai people made long time ago, doesnt make the scripts yours. It only means you people dont have the ability to make your own scripts. You literally still learn Khom (thai) scripts in kindergarten in Cambodia.
@iROChakri 😂 it's not Khom Thai scripts and what evidence do Thai people have saying it's Khom Thai? If it's really Khom Thai scripts then tell me why Thai people abandoned it and don't use it as their native language and only monks can learn how to read it? It's clearly ancient Khmer scripts cuz anyone in Cambodia can speak write and read it.
Thailand was formed from many kingdoms of people who spoke the Tai-Lao and Tai-Kadai languages. Each kingdom had a king who ruled both small and large cities. The unification was carried out through diplomacy, royal marriages, and war. It also accepted foreign ethnic groups as citizens. Don't be surprised that Thai people look very different. This is not an obstacle to uniting as peaceful allies and ready to protect each other.
this best video explanations perfectly.
Any Thai that mentions "Khom" without mentioning Khmer are ignorant and purposely being deceitful. There are no "Khom" in Thailand, only Khmer.
I went to Chiang mai and I don’t know that it is part of Lanna kingdom
This Sus me
*mews*
all deceptive lies, India pre Mahabharata used chilli peppers in AyurVedic texts and medicine. this pig should Recognize the Great Asakan Sub Continent Brotherhood World Peaceful Agro-Economic Paradise, which Pig Churchill the useless sneak through his mother's sex exploits got limelight 'thrust' upon him
No chili remains or seeds in India. Neither with marigold. Stop stealing Native American culture.
