The correct way to purchase, install and use a button holer attachment
00:15
First, attach the feed dog guard to the machine to prevent the needle from hitting it.
00:36
Turn the feed drop knob and lower the feed dog to the level of the needle plate.
00:46
Bring the regulator to the zero position and tighten the screw.
00:58
Loosen the presser bar screws and lift the presser bar up a little
01:05
Fix the buttonhole attachment
01:10
The pressure bar screw should be tightened so that there is the same distance between the regular foot and the needle plate when the foot lifter is raised.
01:25
The buttonhole attachment should be attached straight so that the needle does not get stuck.
01:35
Be sure to leave enough space for the fabric to easily pass through the buttonhole attachment and feed dog guard.
01:45
Check carefully to see if the foot on the buttonhole attachment is working properly and if the needle is sticking to it.
03:00
If the needle rubs or hits the fabric when the buttonholer attachment is pushed to the left and right, loosen the pressure bar screw and turn it to the desired direction.
03:30
After attaching the buttonhole attachment to the sewing machine, do not push the machine forward and lift it, as it may hit the machine table and break.
03:57
A good quality buttonhole attachment has two screws where it attaches to the sewing machine
04:11
while a bad quality buttonhole attachment has only one screw where it attaches to the sewing machine
04:21
That is one way to distinguish between good quality and bad quality
04:31
A free special needle clamp is included with the good quality buttonhole attachment.
04:41
Cheap quality buttonhole attachment packages do not include special needle clamps.
04:51
The butterfly nut on a regular needle clamp often comes loose when installing a buttonhole attachment.
05:01
The special needle clamp is very strong and has a small round head screw instead of a butterfly nut.
05:36
Two screws come with the buttonhole attachment to attach it.
05:41
A strong needle clamp with a special headless nut is coming
05:46
This is a bad quality button hole attachment, so I can't see the features I mentioned earlier.

00:15 First, attach the feed dog guard to the machine to prevent the needle from hitting it. 00:36 Turn the feed drop knob and lower the feed dog to the level of the needle plate. 00:46 Bring the regulator to the zero position and tighten the screw. 00:58 Loosen the presser bar screws and lift the presser bar up a little 01:05 Fix the buttonhole attachment 01:10 The pressure bar screw should be tightened so that there is the same distance between the regular foot and the needle plate when the foot lifter is raised. 01:25 The buttonhole attachment should be attached straight so that the needle does not get stuck. 01:35 Be sure to leave enough space for the fabric to easily pass through the buttonhole attachment and feed dog guard. 01:45 Check carefully to see if the foot on the buttonhole attachment is working properly and if the needle is sticking to it. 03:00 If the needle rubs or hits the fabric when the buttonholer attachment is pushed to the left and right, loosen the pressure bar screw and turn it to the desired direction. 03:30 After attaching the buttonhole attachment to the sewing machine, do not push the machine forward and lift it, as it may hit the machine table and break. 03:57 A good quality buttonhole attachment has two screws where it attaches to the sewing machine 04:11 while a bad quality buttonhole attachment has only one screw where it attaches to the sewing machine 04:21 That is one way to distinguish between good quality and bad quality 04:31 A free special needle clamp is included with the good quality buttonhole attachment. 04:41 Cheap quality buttonhole attachment packages do not include special needle clamps. 04:51 The butterfly nut on a regular needle clamp often comes loose when installing a buttonhole attachment. 05:01 The special needle clamp is very strong and has a small round head screw instead of a butterfly nut. 05:36 Two screws come with the buttonhole attachment to attach it. 05:41 A strong needle clamp with a special headless nut is coming 05:46 This is a bad quality button hole attachment, so I can't see the features I mentioned earlier. 05:50 Watch the video until the end as it discusses very valuable topics from time to time. 05:59 Watch the video until the end as it discusses very valuable topics from time to time. 06:10 Watch the video until the end as it discusses very valuable topics from time to time. 07:20 H A 2045 size 14 needles, ideal for general use 07:30 Buy Singer Original Needles with Gold Top 09:06 (gap between the seams) (distance between two stitches) Stitch length is adjusted here 09:36 This is where you adjust the length of the buttonhole according to the size of the button. 10:10 (Cutting Point) This is where you adjust the space between the two seams on either side of the buttonhole (where the buttonhole is cut). 10:50 This is where you increase or decrease the width of the zigzag stitch on the left and right sides of the buttonhole. 11:46 This is where you adjust the length of the buttonhole according to the size of the button. 11:55 (Cutting Point) This is where you adjust the space between the two seams on either side of the buttonhole (where the buttonhole is cut). 12:03 This is where you increase or decrease the width of the zigzag stitch on the left and right sides of the buttonhole. 12:11 (gap between the seams) (distance between two stitches) Stitch length is adjusted here 12:34 Do not start sewing the buttonhole from the top or bottom, turn this butterfly nut and start sewing from the middle of the buttonhole. 12:51 Before you start sewing the buttonhole, turn this butterfly nut and center it where you want to start sewing the buttonhole. 15:15 When you start sewing, start in the middle. 15:25 When you start sewing from the top and bottom edges, the thread can get tangled and cause sewing errors. 16:00 Don't put a buttonhole attachment on an old, faulty machine. 16:10 I need to attach the buttonhole attachment to a sewing machine that works perfectly. 16:20 It's a stupid, stupid idea to attach a buttonholer attachment to a machine that can't even sew a regular stitch properly. 17:00 Never lift or push a sewing machine with a buttonholer attachment forward or upward for any reason. 17:10 You will damage the buttonholer attachment if you do that. 17:20 There are two different types of buttonhole attachments for domestic (household) sewing machines and high-feed (industrial) sewing machines. 17:40 Before purchasing the buttonhole attachment, make sure it is suitable for the job you are trying to do and your sewing machine. 20:59 When buying a buttonhole attachment, try not to fall for a fake product. Instead, you should buy a good one that is priced according to the product quality, rather than looking for a cheap buttonhole attachment. 21:30 Check if the buttonholer you are buying has these features: 21:54 Check to see if there are two screws where the pressure bar is attached. 22:09 As a solution to the butterfly nut loosening due to the buttonholer lever hitting the needle clamp 22:49 There should be a special needle clamp with a round-headed nut. 23:11 There should be a long square-shaped feed dog Guard (Cover) 23:45 If the buttonholer attachment you buy has those features, it is an original product.
Thankyou so much. This video was not easy to find but I'm so happy finally. Now I know what I did wrong and I'll correct my mistake tomorrow morning🙏🏾. Thank you so much for your help.
