How to build a circle walnut table top!
What wood finish did you use for this table?
Is it OK to use a 47" bracket for shelves that are 7' long, as long as it is centered in the shelf?
I always use the maximum length bracket I can for the length of the shelves I’m making. I could imagine it being fine though. But I’d definitely just check with Sheppard brackets to see what they say. I believe they have weight ratings on there website.
We have a cubbyhole in our family room, I did some shelves years ago with cleats. We want something nicer, I went with the same brackets. I took a scrape 2x4 and practiced doing the , pilot holes and router, before I tried on an expensive piece of wood. I found really easy to do, also mounting on the wall and sliding the boards on was not too difficult. I do need to mention the walls pitch inward on the front the back is about 1/4 inch wider. Waiting for my Rubio’s to finish and call it done.
I agree, it has been the easiest process for me. I’ve made my own in similar style to the Sheppard brackets, as well as even a wood dowel style one. I’ve also tried the hovr brand style but couldn’t use them because your shelf has to be no less than 2” thick. These are by far the best quality and easiest brackets by far out of everything I’ve used.
It's what I used to float my mantel above the fireplace! If you have a mill or a metal bit you could recess the tulip screw hole that allows the router to go over the screws to make the cabinet screw recess into the metal so you can run the router over the entire space w/o risking it jumping.
Yeah that would be the one thing that could make the router guide much better, I may have to look into bringing my guides to a machinist
Excellent video. Just received my Sheppard brackets and mounting kit today.
Awesome I hope it helps!
Does not make any sense
Why would you not quartersaw this log ?
Counter sink the router template screws so they don't get in the way.
I definitely need to do that! Thanks
Well done
Nice
hi there nice sawing john
Lose the crap music.
Wood yay🎉🎉🎉
Great video, thanks! Would you use cabinet screws to attach the bracket to the wall? The ability to make small adjustments moving the bracket using cabinet screws seems like it would be super helpful. The extra clamping force that the cabinet screw heads seem like they'd be a good choice too to really "hang on" to the bracket holes. What do you think?
I know I love the cabinet screws for being able to make fine adjustments that may be something I should try next time I do some floating shelves
@@LuckyNelsonsSawmill I ended up using cabinet screws to secure the brackets to the studs and it worked phenomenally for me!
The lead time is crazy on sawmills
Nice, I wanna see more
Do you put epoxy or glue in the holes or is friction enough to hold it?
No epoxy. Friction usually holds it plenty. If needed I might do a couple wraps of painters tape on the rods.
Eu estou vendo esse vídeo dá cidade de dourado do estado de São Paulo amigo
Muito legal mesmo companheiro
Assim eu dou valor amigo Muito amigo 😮

I have worked thousands of bdft of Red Oak as my favorite. That is sure a pretty White Oak though.
Beautiful Wood
big wood and good machine
That is some of the most beautiful wood I've ever seen, and I was a porn star for 20 years
LOL..nice short.
Wow! That is BEAUTIFUL!! I want!
We’re lucky to have gotten this log!
So will that one log pay for the mill?
I haven’t done the math but I do believe it will!
I was watching a sayer on another channel and he was doing countertop for kitchen. I was wondering if you had heard of that. Most people are into tables but I’m sure there is a niche for countertop also. God bless. Stay safe. 🇨🇦✌️
Nice Oak Block.
I never heard of anybody cutting countertops before. Everyone seems to be after River run table tops. It certainly is a nice piece of wood. Unbelievably good really. Stay safe God bless. 🇨🇦✌️
Yes we’ve been doing a lot of countertops which I do enjoy. It’s typically just 1 piece such as an island or a set of cabinets off to the side.
👍
Thanks for sharing I’ve done so many shelves free hand. This is a great time saver as well as no worry holes
No problem! I’ve done shelves free hand, welded my own brackets and even used wooden dowels to make floating shelves. The time you save by using these brackets in my opinion is well worth it.
It is ain’t it!
Beautiful wood!
Why send that gorgeous white oak crashing onto the hydraulic arms just to be damaged? Why not put the fork right next to the mill and then move it right over?
Sangat bagus
Thank you!
FIRE WOOD?????? ILL HAVE SOME GOOD LUMBER OUT OF THAT
As one firewood processor to another… we’ll done.
Just looking to get hurt.
Only thing that got hurt was that log 💪
That machine did a great job
WHY THE OVERLOUD AND REPETIVELY BOREING MUSIC ??????
COS ISTS A BOREING VIDEO
Thank you for the feedback 👍
I don’t think that’s hickory.
gorgeous wood.
I know I love it!
Lovely superb Nice sawing black walnut log and the fiber of the timber was very good.
Thank you!!
What did you do with those slabs? How thick did you cut them
I believe we did 1.5” thick. This was a portable sawmill job for a customer. It was their log/tree, and they kept the slabs.
Must smell so good
It does!
Do you ever have to change the debarker blade
I did once but I don’t think it makes a different. The debarker on this mill is not the best design in my opinion. The lt40 super and bigger mills have a different design that looks much better.
Bitchen grain in that baby
