I was watching a sayer on another channel and he was doing countertop for kitchen. I was wondering if you had heard of that. Most people are into tables but I’m sure there is a niche for countertop also. God bless. Stay safe. 🇨🇦✌️
I did once but I don’t think it makes a different. The debarker on this mill is not the best design in my opinion. The lt40 super and bigger mills have a different design that looks much better.
I’m pretty sure based on the bark, the nuts at the base of the tree, as well as the leaves since I saw the tree before it was cut down. Also in my experience pignut hickory is a little darker, more brownish heartwood and the pecan is a brighter almost orange like in this video.
Lovely superb Nice sawing of timber
Thank you!
Hey great to see you, makes me so excited to get back to milling
Thank you!! I’m sure it does!
gorgeous wood.
I know I love it!

That’s amazing looking wood I’d love to built a live edge table out of that, except for the lighter grain heart it reminds me of a big birch
Next time you are by the house wanna drop one of each type here? 😂 in Alaska
If I’m ever in Alaska I will definitely have to! Haha
Do you ever have to change the debarker blade

The pecan is a hard dense wood but you must be careful. It will rot and suffer bug damage quickly.
Even after it’s cut? Or do you mean before it’s cut.
That is some of the most beautiful wood I've ever seen, and I was a porn star for 20 years
Are you sure that's not pignut hickory?

They’re very similar and in the same family. I’ve even heard that sometimes the bigger mills mix in pecan with hickory when they sell it.
